Also i dont like the idea of magnezone here, it's a common misconception when building around it, which is to run mons that counter pokemon that lokix hates, but that isn't the way. The best way to use lokix is with bulky pivots like galar slowking that give it chances to consistently come in and do its thing, glowking also deals with most fairy types well, which lokix hate. Pair it with defog or rapid spin as well so u dont lose it to stealth rock or other hazards. U can also consider heavy duty boots, tho band is the kicker which lets it stop almost any sweeper that doesnt 4x resist once chipped. Basically, stuff that synergises well with kix helps it deal with its problems, trying to forcefully remove all of its counters and make kix a strong pokemon just isnt the way.
I'm the guy who let him borrow this team, first of all, lokik doesnt have knock off in this game. Magnezone is for stuff like corviknight, scizor or even heatran if its low enough which lokik hard to deal with. This team alr have a defogger which is corviknight, slowking maybe work but its weak to electric so gastrodon do its work better. Overall this team has many switching move to maximize lokik band first impression and u can easily switch out for coverage with this team
@@thienphuocnguyen4441 aight, so I said If it has knock, it doesn’t which kinda sux, once it gets it use that over leech or s punch(in the pbb I play it does have knock off), #2 I mentioned why I don’t like the idea of magenezone here, trying to make lokix unstoppable by removing its counters isn’t how u build around it and is a common misconception, especially since banded FI means u must switch after, and u need sacrifices or bulky pivots to clean an end game with lokix banded FI. Also I gave a general idea on how to build around the Pokémon, I know that corv was for defog. Magnezone is an overrated lokix partner, many mons that hate steel types don’t pair with mag, it’s an overrated Mon in that aspect. Just pair with pivots that match up well into lokixs counters and give it safe entries, like a rotom wash for corv, heatran and volt switch. No disrespect, but magnezone+lokix is overrated and mid. Edit: a few more things I wanna add, I said galarian slowking, but if that's NOT in the game, regular or Slowbro as a physical wall work. Also the electric weakness doesn't matter much for Johto slowking or Slowbro, run another ground type. Also by pivot to get lokix in safely, I meant slow pivots, pokemon with low speed stats that take the hit and then pivot into kix safely. Mienshao is a fast pivot, if ur using that to get it Lokix, it's taking a hit, even if as simple as toxic, it still cripples ur lokix and magnezone is choice scarf to outspeed Scizor, just have mons that create a position for lokix to win while giving it safe opportunities to do its thing. Also heatran isn't taking much from magnezone, most are spdef, so they will have to take a lot of dmg anyway, tbolt isn't even doing much. Also if mag has hp ground, it isn't trapping Scizor with superpower or close combat (if it has the latter here) so no it doesn't create switching opportunities for lokix to "safely" enter. Also dragalge, mienshao and gastrodon are all mid pokemon cuz of power creep, just use slowking-galar or kanto Slowbro over gastro, lando T over dragalge and a spdef heatran over magnezone. Also replace mienshao for a faster pokemon with knock off like meowscarada, with cband or hdboots with flower trick, knock off, thunder punch and u turn. I'm assuming that in this game, teleport has the gen 8 buff of being a switch move that goes last, if that's the case, Slowbro or galar slowking provide VERY safe pivots, but if not, flip turn wish alomomola helps to heal mates and with sassy and 0 speed iv, it gets reliable slow flip turns to wish pass.
U can also use chilly reception on galarian slowking specifically. Scarf lando T and meow provide actual speed (magnezone even with timid scarf hits 360 speed, so stuff like Greninja still outspeed) and knock off and thunder punch meow can lure corv reliably and also deals with toxapex. Also since lokix doesn't get knock off yet, I'm assuming no triple Axel on meow either. Heatran with Taunt toxic and magma storm is a big help in the stall matchup. The slows and alomo have regenerator with alo also having wish and slow flip turn, so this team has great longevity, with alo u can also use choice band meowscarada here. Corv is for defog, while stealth rock on a scarfer may seem odd, it's reliable in practice as lando T causes many switches and the team has many bulky pivots anyway. U can run rocks on heatran but Taunt makes the stall matchup easier. To summarize, I think the team is better with: choice band Lokix, scarf lando T, choice band/heavy duty boots meowscarada, corviknight, heatran and slowking-galar form or kanto Slowbro (if buffed teleport (or chilly reception for glowking) exist) else alomomola.
