I started with the seven sword version though, and it's a grenade on the lower half. The toes fall off if wiggled too much, the knee armor that holds the katars are barely hold on, and the leg joints attaching it to the hips only have minimal grip. IDK how it ended up like that, pretty sure I built it according to the instructions.
The 00 and [Q]ant were when they started experimenting with moving away from the advanced ms joints and towards building the frame yourself like with the Nu
The RG exia and 00 is pretty much in the between era of early RGs and the current RGs so they are very in between kits imo, so I would to see bandai do an exia and 00 kits with how they make RGs today, that would be fantastic.
I was kinda shocked to see you call the RG 00 bad, the old review was pretty high on it. I guess new RGs are just that great. FWIW my 00 is still feeling quite good in the hand, other than the shields never staying on unless they're on the 0 Raiser.
Yeah I used to have this guy, hated it after like a month. The frame just doesn't hold up at all and barely can hold the sword at that point the leg doesn't help need to unarmor it and basically tighten up all the frame. Compare it to the epyon it like day and night cause that epyon hold up perfectly even after the tumble and can pose perfectly fine even after a long time
@@fishchips5121well, 00 isn’t neccesary the most popular series. if i had to put my bets on the next rg 2.0 it would probably be any of the seed suits, since well… they aren’t the greatest, and the exia is actually one of the better early rg kits.
In hindsight, if the 00 XN Raiser didn’t just slap everything on the back, the design would’ve been a tad bit better. Also, have the regular 00 Raiser in a box, since the hips are comically loose now, and the back of the torso where the Raiser unit attaches has come loose too.
Wasn't there an arrangement where it had the 0 raiser's binders (and all the XN unit parts fixed to it) on the GN Drives rather than directly on the Raiser unit though ?
@Fayheurblode The official config for the XN Raiser has everything on the back pack. The binders only go on the GN drives with the Raiser on. You can still put them on the drives with all the XN parts but that's more of a fan config.
Tbh i never expected you to review this kit, but here we are. I just built mine a week ago and it's quite a challenge to pose but it's still quite a looker nonetheless.
it's a shame that such wonderful kits like 00 Raiser do not have a chance to get an updated version. Lately I built a RG Build Strike full package and man it looks awesome! but it's floppy, and the only thing it can do is a simple standing pose with an action base attached. I really wish we have the chance to see such kits revamped!
The OG 00 Raiser was my very first RG and the second Gunpla kit I ever built. I had no clue what RG, HG, MG, etc were so when I started building it I was a bit overwhelmed coming from an HG IBO kit. I even tried my hand at painting the inner frame. The look of the kit is great and it sat on my desk for a while. However it's a hand grenade. Parts fall off the thing constantly even by just looking at it. Especially the GN that parts you hang off of the GN drives. I say pose and don't touch it.
Btw, you can rotate how the gundam holds the double sword by 90 degrees (or have it grab the opposite side of where you attached it) so it can hold the sword and pose like it’d actually slashing the sword.
Exia was the first RG I got and it's pretty much the only kit I don't really fiddle with very much, the stickers it came with were definitely awesome. There's something really excellent about the markings they use for them maybe it's just the fact they're a nice shade of blue. I've never heard of that particular mark setter but if it works better than mark setter/softer then it may be worth looking into closer
Hey man, how's your RG Exia doing? Is it loosen up overtime? Or is it still in the same condition as you build it? Kinda interested in buying an RG Exia but I'm kinda scared to spend my money on a kit that probably will loosen up overtime cuz I love posing my kits.
@@BronzTheBear_0408 Oh he's totally fine. I didn't really move him around too much so he isn't very loose or anything and it's been about two years since I got him. I tried doing some ground poses with him back then and they didn't really work so I just put him in a standing pose and put him on the shelf. I could maybe see it having issues if you're moving it around a lot over and over but for normal wear from posing now and then it'll be fine
The katakana reads "zan", but I think it's supposed to be said more like "zun". The Zun-raiser (Sun-riser), perhaps a nod to the production company of the anime, Sunrise.
with those backlogs mecha has and those pile of boxes in desperate need of sorting out, i think we must commend mecha still capable of building anything
I was upset at first when I got the XN kit as I broke the right arm of 00 when posing it, but then I realized the sword in that pose can actually hold the arm up then I dont bother to glue it back or move it ever again
Yeah this Gundam definitely looks way better without the jets on, the idea of not 1, but 2 support jets attached to the gundam is really cool, but the final result just looks like the jet sitting backwards on the gundam. And with how cool both the combined jet mode & individual jets look, I think the 00 gundam is better off just posed by itself, maybe with the extra swords, and having the jets by it’s sides
5:00 Is that GG Subs karaoke I see? Or maybe some other fansub group? Idk honestly I remember trying all the different sub groups back when 00 was airing so it could be any of them. Haha damn, that's the real nostalgia right there
Mine arrived during spring break but I haven't built it. Im probably gonna build it this summer after I finish building my HG Wing kits and The Black Knight Shiva.
I recently built the RG Raiser and funnily enough, it’s NOT the early RG-frame, it’s the legs connecting to the hips. There is practically no friction to hold the heavy upper body in a stable position, while the knees, ankles, elbows and shoulders are fine. I definitely understand why your hallmark early-real-grade-syndrome is mostly dismissed by other gunpla creators nowadays. They can be symptomatic of a bad kit but more often than not they aren’t the root cause.
Truthfully, the only old RG lines that are passable or good are the 00 and Wing line other than the Gundam MK II, experience wise. It is likely due to the light weighted, but since 00 wants more weapons through variations, then that make sense.
Went down a whole rabbit hole, never mind the why, just reached a conclusion that the new SEED Freedom's Proud Defender is SEED's take on the 0-Raiser. Saji is Lacus, Confirmed.
I really hope that that start re releasing pre tallgeese real grades like they are with the Rx78 ngl. Just give us one brand new on and one 2.0 one a year and it’ll be awesome. And hey maybe if we’re lucky they’ll pull out the RG ground Gundam and gouf custom that was originally supposed to release
Mecha, can you review the HG Strike Freedom Gundam and compare it to the Perfect Strike Freedom and the Strike Gundam? Also, I love your content, especially some reviews where you made that grunt when you bent the elbow of that RX-78-2 Gundam from the Gundam Universe line.
aaah few years ago i had this kit (of course with 3rd party xn extension lol) and who knows that bandai now release the official one ^^ but seriously using old inner frame for this massive kit it will be trigger early syndrom realgrade more faster than regular 00 :3
I almost ordered this last month when it was still available for reserveration but decided against it due to the price tag, 2280Y, almost double the price of the base 00 Rider. Not too sure if I made the right decision though since the yen is currently trading far below average.
I'm surprised the mechanism for attaching the xn raiser actually the same as MG version.. not getting this since I already owned MG version. Except for the sword attachment.
Question when the 0-Raiser turn into the XN-Raiser why the two shield wings never attach to the GN Drive of the 00 Gundam it like the whole 0-Raiser jiust attach on the backpack of the 00 Gundam is their a lore on why they don't attach on the GN Drive?.
Meeeen, I really wish they would revive the HG 00 kits. Seed got that treatment. Wing got that treatment. Even Mobile Fighter G got that treatment. What's stop them from doing the same on 00
So I’m watching this after having built the base RG 00 Raiser and how the hell was it falling apart for you when posing it? For me it’s as solid as a rock and I’ve been posing it like crazy. Could it be that you’re too rough with it? Or is it the fact that you detest early real grades that you have a bias towards them? Also they’re GN sword 2’s not GN blades, that’s Exia.
Dude, if you are having problems with the joints right out of box, it can only mean one of two things. First, you got a faulty kit, which I doubt highly. Second, given your penchant for playing and generally being rough with your kits, you screwed something up. I'm going with number two. Fact is, I never had a single problem with my RG 00 Raiser. In fact, I just recently sold it for 50% more than what I payed for it. Stop being so rough on your kits.
Well he speed builds kits for the reviews, so his perspective is already quite different from the general modeler who usually takes time to build and polish model kits.
I’m gonna feel bad for the people who read the comments before watching the video. I’ve built the original rg 00 Raiser and compared to my experience with the rg Wing Zero EW I mostly put real grades to the side until I got the Hi nu and unicorn. If you want an honest opinion I’d recommend ignoring the comments and listening to the video.
The thing that's odd is that we have an RG for GN-0000/7S 00 Gundam Seven Sword and also an RG GN-0000GNHW/7SGD2 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G Inspection Type. But we don't have an RG GN-0000GNHW/7SG 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G. 🤷♂
Want to ask cause im in curios , is it the advance ms joint solid ? Because back then around 2021 i remembered when i bought RG 00 raiser the advance ma joint kinda loose . Everytime i want to make a pose it did’nt support the weapon (hand) and the leg same too . Thank you for noticing this question .
That ERGS bs needs to stop, ok. Just because there was something bad about the early part of the RG line doesn’t mean it’s the only line that had problems up to a certain point. MG had something similar, HG had its issues, and so did PG.
19:17 If D.O.T. (Dropping Over Time) is your problem, so why are you not using a joint strengthening marker.🤔 Even I am using it for my 1/100 MG Qan(t) Full Saber, and from a few other reviews that I have seen, some said that the Full Saber had a weight issue when it hold up a bigger weapon than it can handle. So when I built it, I prepared myself for this and used the marker on the important joint parts in the arms.
