For anyone wondering Yes This is a mix between a Trabant and a DAF

Ah yes, 3-5 Business Weeks acceleration, that's the kinda shitbox I want to see in GTA VI

Basically it's Trabant with DAF front swap Aging Wheels gonna love this.

The folks who made this did a great job with making the design lore friendly, they’re clearly familiar with the real vehicle.

it's a two stroke car (thats why it smokes and makes a "terrible" sound (irl two strokes sound beautiful)) based on a trabant 601

The original DAF had a variomatic not a manual gearbox 🤓

about the racing these idea, they did race them in the netherlands... in reverse. these had a cvt transmission that allowed you to go as fast backwards as you could go forwards. you could imagine the effect steering at high speed has when you're in reverse. this resulted in some hilarious but dangerous racing. and to add fuel to the fire there were all sorts of obstacles on the course like jumps and other drivers that spun out. the races had commentary done by a famous dutch comedian to make the events even funnier. just search reverse daf racing on youtube im sure you can find some videos.

My gandpa used to have this car and let me tell you, it was SLOW and it was such a vive. It was so slow that heare in Spain it was prohibited from going to de highway because it coudn’t keep up with the traffic

Amazing to see, I work on these in the UK on a daily basis, it looks really similar, but also a combination with a trabant*

I absolutely loved how in IV, when beaters backfired randomly, it was not only an effect, the car actually was losing throttle for a second. Sadly, this doesn't seem to be a thing in V.

one thing that bothers me is that this car shifts unlike its real counterpart i heard daf cars are known for their variomatic cvts (i've never seen a daf car irl sadly)

It sounds amazing in my opinion, it's so realistic compare to original gta cars

Gotta get something clear here, with this car I wanted to go DF8-90 shit and make a very heavy mix between a Trabant and a Daffodil. From the interior and the engine bay/sound you can tell it's based on a Trabant too So yeah, here's your explanation for it to be such a slow and smoky piece of shit lmao

Dude. It's a Trabant. 100%. As german i can say, it's kinda 80% Trabant. It just has some differences. Like a little bit front and the rear lights a slightly off. Even the two tact engine is kinda very close. XD Even the other grill, looks like the last version of the trabant. Short before ddr died.
