I enjoyed the shorter version but the 5.5 hour version is where it is at. Much more character development

Thanks for doing this vid! I was excited when I saw Fanny and Alexander in my notifications. IMO, it's the greatest Christmas media and TV show I have ever seen.

Excellent telling of what a Alternative Christmas movie can be. In thinking about this. I found that National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is more Alternative then Traditional. From the Chaotic Family to the miss placed Christmas revelation. The comedy peaks the highest when it tries so hard to be Traditional.

Great video. This is not Bergman’s last film, though. It’s Saraband. This was the last one to get a theatrical release.
