The new and improved T. Kell Knives Combatant has an upgraded sheath and less belly near the tip and rounding to the front finger well for more comfort. Designed specifically to meet ALL of your EDC needs in a very compact package. This was my first T Kell knife, now I have two of them as well as a dozen of his knives. The problem with a T Kell knife is deciding which one to carry. My two all time favorites are the Combatant and the Raider. All his knives are awesome. Yep, buy them all.

Can i ask why those two are your favorite? I really like the striker but think it's a bit to big to edc for my frame. So thinking about your two favorites. I like that blade shape of the combatant a little better. Cheers!

@thechameleon77 I cant answer for Rick, but for me, I wanted the Raider because I had the option of putting the Sentry Grip on it. If you dont care about the ring grip, the Combatant would be a great knife also and I wouldnt hesitate to carry that as well.

I ordered one. This will be my second knife from TKell. The Nigtstalker CG is outstanding. The blade cuts smoothly through almost everything. The knife is well balanced, and the blade is tough. I like the ability to change the grip color to give the knife a new look.

Looks good. This is a good one for the guys who like pocket carry. I personally prefer my fixed blades in the 4"+ category, I generally carry scout style front or back for my fixed blade. I carry enough smaller folders that I want a bit more out of my fixed blade. My current go to fixed blade is my Spyderco Ronin 2 and I wouldn't mind if it were a little bigger. Love your designs though and as soon as I can decide which one I want most, I'll finally order one.

The Mercenary is big fixed at 5” sharpened 6 including the choke up choil , next down in size is the Bushman at 4”. The new operator series are 4-5” on full handle. That’s a lot for a CCW blade, but for a belt carry it’ll work.

Really liking pocket carry with the clip, I can move my shirt up and get to the knife with one smooth motion. With having a 2nd sheath from my trainer, it's set-up for both appendix and pocket depending on what I'm wearing.

Doable yes, practical probably not. The high primary bevel on the combatant would make the tip very thin. I’d be concerned about it’s strength

Of all the knives you run in production, what is the best all around edc blade to do most daily task and ThTs combat being more secondary? What’s the lightest slicer knife model you with blade edge 3-3.25 inches?

That’s hard to narrow down. I EDC the raider a lot. I really love the night stalker CG and the Combatant. The Striker was my EDC for a long time. It’s hard to choose one of your children as your favorites.

Will I cause any damage to my Combatant by filing edge of blade that my index finger is against?

A file will remove metal, other than removing metal from the knife it won’t damage it in any other way

Do you ever plan on making a magnacut EDC blade? I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to make a nice long lasting EDC defense knife 3.5-5”.

The testing I did on magnacut didn’t impress me enough to switch from 80CRV-2. 80CRV-2 is revered as one of the toughest, edge holding steels used today.

I like that blade style/shape. A buddy of mine got one of the ones before this new variant. I know you are trying to minimize the "printing" of the edc knives, but I just need a longer handle to ensure a better drawing grip. Several edc knives I have, or have handled, end up with my index finger on the blade as it is drawn (resulting in some cuts)....and for me, that is a "no muy bueno" issue.....especially, if it is an emergency situation. Thank you for your videos.

I haven’t had anyone report a cut to the drawing hand while unsheathing, but I suppose it’s possible. I do make several full length grip blades. I have Lots of variety for the variety of Humans in the world.
