Not really. Flair doesn’t make a good bartender it just means you practiced juggling bottles a lot. The flair is just to add some spice to the bar, it doesn’t mean the person can make a good or even decent drink

If you have a really fancy restaurant and in top location, and you have this guy among your bartenders. You made a good choice. He makes top notch advertisement for the spot with just his skills.

@@fellowkrieger457 not to say he can’t make a good drink. But in reality the flair is just spice. It doesn’t add anything to the drink. You risk people putting hands in your technique messing up your flair and causing bottles to fly possibly hitting someone. This is a very real thing when it comes to drinks because people can’t control their liquor and they all of a sudden think they can do it too. I’ve also tasted drinks made by people who use a lot of juggling but are too occupied on looking good that they didn’t do ratios of drinks correctly making them overly sweet, or using too much alcohol or not enough of either.

@@luboradev3755 what is the easy way? If you are the guy taking an hour to make one drink, then you would have no customers in the bar cause they would all get fed up and leave. If you are the other bartenders, then you would get tired of that guy not doing anything but taking up space and quit. Either way, no one would be getting any tips.

It’s called flair bartending, most people don’t do it when its busy. But some people go to a specific bar when they wanna see some flair bartending and don’t mind waiting for their drink.

@@ImaginateAudio doesnt feel the same as the real thing though, you can practice using flair bottles as much as youd like but you gotta do it with the real thing too to get used to it. Monin bottles has been known to be one of the best for performing (flair only).
