Which is why i definitely admired old gen groups because it was hard for them to earn fame outside Korea. They need to produce good quality of music to be recognized globally. Then peeps around the world will notice t because it's a trend. But nah still, i prefer back then since kpop fans were just chill with no need to stress themselves streaming always to get certain vids to hundred million views.

I swear if internet was a things back in our golden era, many of snsd, bigbang, suju etc will get the highest views, cause me in my 13 years old keep repeating the 360p mv of bigbang like thousand times everyday. Illegally downloaded the mv so that my mom doesn't know if not she will killed me 😂 and now she's fully support me 100% and keep supporting me to buy an album and merch 🤣 lol what a turned table

2009 in general for kpop was a legendary year, had snsd firing on all cilinders, wonder girls firing on all cilinders, BoA heading over to america, Kara taking over the top of the charts this year also and bringing in cash from Japan, 2ne1 and 4 minute debuting and causing a ruckus among the popgirls, afterschool taking off, Tara blasting to the top with boo peep boo peep and making huge waves, brown eyed girls with there hypontic hip dance which by the way abracadabra was the second highest selling single that year, all of these legendary girl just shooting perfectly and all so diffrent from one another, they have all built there legendary status among all the kpop fandoms, and are litterally everyone idols, idols, and this is just the female artist from that year, the male artists where doing just as well. God damnit I miss 2009, I feel like 2019 was an iconic year for female artist songs, so many amazing female songs cameout in 2019 it was almost like living in the golden age of kpop again, my heart will always belong to this era of kpop 😭

재밌는건 둘이 전성기가다르죠.. 원걸이 가요계 휩쓸땐(0708년)소시는 그냥저냥인기좀있는그룹이였다면 소시가 원탑으로 떠오를땐(09년이후)원걸이 미국가서 삽질하고있었고..

I was a WonderFul first, and I had a lot of resentment towards how Wonder Girls left Korea, but then, I became a fan of SNSD, too. They deserve to be called legends. It's not only in music, but SNSD has successfully diversified and successfully done acting, hosting, musical theater, etc. Honestly, there's nothing like 2nd gen. Truly a Golden Era.
