Is This Where I Find Myself?? 

This is interesting, I wasn't sure why this showed up in my recommended list. I think you've found some good guidance... the less you have, the more you can risk. I get that, while you're young and unincumbered by too many possessions, you are truly free to find yourself. My eldest son is still doing that. I think you have wonderful supporters here. You may find yourself in the right place at the right time, and a path may become clear. I'm glad you have your RU-vid channel, so you can document your experiences and thoughts. I wish you the best, no matter where you go or what you end up doing. It's great to see so many supportive comments here. Optimism is rare, I'm glad you have it. There's always the Navy :) many a wanderer has found him or herself while serving.

Taking a leap of faith and starting over is part of life's journey---and you'll probably do it more than once (although probably for different reasons). A little over 30 years ago, I left a very unhealthy marriage. I had 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 horses and a parakeet 🙂 and only a part time job doing medical transcription but I HAD to get out. I took every living thing (even the plants!) when I left. I trusted God to take care of us, and He did. We were OK. Since then, I've completely changed my career a couple of times and even the state I lived in, and started my own business--not capriciously or without a lot of thought (lest you think I'm some kind of an unstable nut job LOL!) and each time, although it was a bit scary, it was a good move and brought me more and more into what I was meant to be and do. I always prayed for God's guidance and direction each time, and He was there for me. Always my best friend and Champion. He loves you more than you can possibly imagine. I hope (if you haven't already) that you will ask Him to help you and make Himself known to you. He will. I promise. Oh, and I also make myself do at least 3 things a year that scare me so I don't get stodgy 🙂, so doing the scary thing in your own life is not necessarily a bad thing--as long as you look before you leap! BTW, I counted becoming a beekeeper as definitely one scary thing for my year when I started it 3 years ago. Best move ever! Best wishes to you for happiness, wisdom, and success in the days ahead!

Emily, I am proud of you for stepping away from an unhealthy environment. It is not easy to do. I experienced a similar situation when I was your age and it seemed like I would never see the light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually the light did appear after working through sadness, soul searching, and trying to find direction for my life. When I did get out of the tunnel my life was so much better. I know yours will too. My faith was one of the pillars which helped me during those dark days. I have always loved your optimism and was one of the things which drew me to your channel. I treasured your openness and honesty which has helped guide me on my path of beekeeping. Thank you sharing this part of your life and I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Give it 6 months you'll feel better.. first heartbreak is the hardest it will harden you... I wouldn't date just not healthy jump right back in the pot ... Get your head clear and keep yourself open for Mr right no rush

I’m 25 and I live on a farm full time working it by myself 24/7 full time as well. I’ve learned overtime how to be content and happy with myself and not replying on others for entertainment or help. When one door closes, 100s of other doors open. Even tho it’s not comfortable to make change, sometimes it’s for the better. It takes awhile to process the change but over the time you’ll realize what truly makes you happy and you’ll keep chasing those dreams. Emotionally it very hard, but logically it’s the right thing to do. Grieving it’s an important step to feeling better but if you let it get the best of you, you’ll fall into a forever hole. Keep your head high, keep chasing your dreams, do what truly makes you happy and not what makes others happy. It’s all easier said then done, but you’ve accomplished SOOO much that there’s no reason to stop now. In 5 years from now you’ll look back at these moments and laugh from how far you’ve come since these moments. Much love and hope you feel better ❤️. Emily, life can be very hard. At least you have what appears to be good or decent health. I’ve been fighting health issues since I was 17. I’ve had a lot of good times and some not so good when the doctors didn’t think that I would pull through but all in all I’ve had a good life in many ways. I have 3 grown children and 4 beautiful grandchildren and a beautiful caring wife and I thank God for everything I have. God should come first family second and by trusting and seeking God he will let everything else fall in place. “Greater Is He That Is In Me”!

I’m 49 years old, rebuilding my life from the ground up literally. One piece of advice that was given me, I hate to say it but probably before you was born, an oyster produces a great pearl only after an injury. An irritant is introduced, I’m sure it produces pain in the beginning. But I’m time, that process of treating a deep injury produces something of value. Keep your life lessons like a beautiful string of pearls. Think back over the good times as well as the mistakes. It is In failing we grow. We learn from falling down. I normally enjoy your beekeeping videos, but this is a little different. You bared your soul to the viewers and I must tell you, it hits home everything you said. Hold on to spring, everything changes in spring especially for us beekeepers!!!! Keep up the great work young lady! You are doing a great job!!!

No matter what your age is nor the cause of the end of a long relationship, you find yourself adjusting. It is not easy, but it is necessary. Just constantly remind yourself of your values and morals and try to enjoy or at least learn more about yourself in the alone times. Don’t compromise you values or morals for anyone. Read your bible and pray often. You will be stronger than you ever were.

Sounds like you are going though a wilderness experience. They can be very taxing but when the Lord brings you out the other side you are stronger and more grounded in your foundation for it. Emily for me, I had to learn to look to the Lord first and He would open the path for me in life. It might not have been the path I was expecting but it was the direction that He had prepared for my best after the messes I made with past choices. I had to learn to "give him the wheel" for lack of a better way to put it. Don't get me wrong in most cases surrendering to His will and being taken down an unexpected and scary direction can be very unsettling to our outlook, but just remember He is right there with us and loved us so much He died for us. Hey I’m mid 30s with just me and my son he doesn’t know his mother it’s just us ! We run around 50 hives and a green house and I drive truck! Happiness is what you make of life ! Don’t let it get you down my son and bees lift my heart every day and put a smile to my face! I was scared and hated bees my whole life 4 years ago I found my new born passion! I just wish I could have found it sooner ! Good luck stay focused you only live and experience life once God Bess !

You are a beautiful and amazing young lady and i am glad you have the courage to share the hard days as well as the easier ones. Trust in the process and know you are never alone and people love you for who you are not what you choose to do from day to day. The bees bring peace when you are with them and tune our vibration making it hard without them in this cold weather but you are right come spring the next great version of you will bloom. I am proud of you for being honest and open as that can be hard to do. We see you for all you can be not where you have been. Keep being a light for others and taking the open doors that find you. You are never alone when you have such a great family here.

Emily I find that I just have to slow down be quite and lesson so I go deep into the woods and sit down and just lesson and I pray I focus on Fath and don't look back .my prayers r with u just remember he works on his time not ours.dont look back

Hey Emily, Life is Messy! There is no way around it. Stay true to yourself and do the things that make you happy. You seem to have found a passion with your bees. Focus on that as you sort out the other pieces of your life. Getting out of a bad relationship, although hard, was probably the best thing you could have done. Continue to draw on your inner strength to find your way.

Just left my partner after 2 years… my bees made me do it. I spent so much time putting effort into someone else and lost myself along the way. I knew getting my bees would take up time and it really did and was my drive forward to leave and not be afraid to anymore. I wasted the last two years of my twenties in this and as someone who just hit 30… we have so much time left to find someone else. Focus on you, the girls and loving yourself. We here at Greens Backyard Bees love watching you from northern, MI so please stay motivated and keep driving forward.

I Love U Emily, I am Amazed by U just being U and videos like this make me Respect U even more, it is Not easy to be this raw on the internet and I am So Glad u decided to post this bc it is So Important to let others know that they are Not alone, that was me when I was going through my depression or when I first started to get my anxiety disorder and just knowing that I am not alone is Everything. I used go Hate who I was to the point where I wanted to do harm to myself but I came out of that a Completely different person and yes I still don't like that version of me But I genuinely like This version so in Everything there is something to take away and something to learn from, sometimes u have to look a little harder but it's there. Fear is what holds me back most these days and I still find myself making up excuses to Not do something, I Want the end goal But Fear stops me from taking that first step bc I Instantly go to Worsr Case Scenario so it's One thing to give advice about finding the Good in a tough situation and it's Quite another to Take said advice, but I'm Trying. U give me Strenth Emily u Really do and not just to push myself at the gym or on my bike rides but emotional and psychological Motivation as well, U are an Amazingly Perfectly Imperfect human being and I am Always here for u in any way you may need u know my number my friend. I am in my 60's, I found what makes me happy and at peace. Love fills everyday with hope for my present and future. Both before and after my death. I am in that life you described, disabled as well. This may seem strange, but I have found that Jesus the creator God is my answer. I am and will pray for you. Believe me or not, You are not alone, You have the bees they will help. More then often our problems are caused by the actions of other humans driven by more or less wicked characters. So working with bees shall help I'm sure of that. And make sport, any kind just to stay fit and healthy; that helps too. You still have a life in front of You so go for it! 🥀🥀🥀

It's winter time. Do whatever you feel like doing then hopefully you get inspired soon. Wether it's bees, maybe a big giant ranch that you can be 100% self sustaining, or who knows, a career in entomology??? Something will come up. You have the scientific curiosity to do anything.

You see , a wandering spirit doesn't nessicarly make for a happy heart . But it dose make a very wise soul , and wisdom takes time . And , as you get older , wiser ,your heart will soar with the Eagles. You'll learn to love and respect your beautiful grey days in your past and actually look forward to them . He will never leave you nor forsake you. His roadmap for life, the Bible is there to help us in all of life’s situations. Trust in the the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Also worshipping others in a Bible believing church will help you and you can have Christian friends for a support group. Will be praying for you for God’s blessing and guidance ;
