Something which no one has mentioned so far is that to win a tournament (WC or Euros) requires a collective effort from the whole coaching staff. So I am sure that Tuchel will have ENGLISH staff advising & helping him to succeed. At the end of the day I am sure if ENGLAND win the WC in 2026 the fans won't care where the manager is from, they'll be too busy celebrating.
International football and club football are two different disciplines. Serena Weigman (trained by Cruyff himself and now an ambassador at the Cruyff Foundation), was successful in the Eredivisie before becoming an international specialist. Her philosophy is a mixture of Total Football and the Johan Cruyff way. It’s brought enormous success to both Netherlands during her spell and now England in a space of three short years since she took charge. If Tuchel can replicate even half that with the men’s side, then they will do well. Personally I’d want both teams to add Telê Santana and Douter Sòcarates philosophy they brought to their Brazil team between 1979 - 1982, to their repertoire. A mixture of Jogo Bonito and Total football.
18 months is a timeframe more than enough for Tuchel to deliver given his excellent records of making instant impact upon taking over a new team. All eyes on WC 2026, but not only that, there is a final of Nations League in June 2025 to play for. Fingers crossed.
There is no other English manager who has won a trophy. Eddie Howe hasnt won the Premier League, Graham Potter, out of work. Lee Carsley has promise but just isnt experienced enough. They have made the right decision with Tuchel.
Tuchel is a proven winner BUT with the England job you can only pick English players unlike at club level where you can buy whoever from wherever. It therefore remains to be seen whether Tuchel will be a success with only English players. However of course I wish Tuchel well and couldn’t give a toss about his nationality.
F.A actually just hired someone on the basis of his football knowledge , acumen experience and record. A lose cannon like a Clough they can't control. As apposed to their flexibility to take orders and with P.R media friendly persona like yes men McLaren, Southgate , Taylor . Distinct possibility things could actually change now and strangely enough it's a job that probably is as prestigious and desirable to a German as it would a local .
Absolutely yes only time will tell his target 🎯 is for England 🏴 to win the world cup if we don’t he goes so I think he can change the way we play football but an international manager now England 🏴 manager for me it should be in an England 🏴 manager was this he right decision 🤔
@@chrisallen4533 I imagine we’ll play a better brand of attacking football and look better in the earlier rounds but I think we’ll come unstuck playing attractive football in the semis/final. Just my opinion.
@@BobVance529 Tuchel is a tactical magician, I think we'll definitely play some good to watch attacking football for sure. However he's a proven winner, against bigger teams he'll give us the edge we've been missing
