Fishing rod is honestly kind of insane. If you’re trying to recover, you can use it to not only stall how fast you fall, but also so stun your opponent or even ring them out if they’re high enough percentage.

For the people who don't get why with T&J you may not want a signature perk. The fishing rod one is very niche and often times can be a hard nerf. The dynamite is debatable. The multi dynamite is good in mid and close range cause you pretty much can't miss with it. But the default dynamite can travel much further which in some situations can be really nice. TLDR: Fishing rod perk kinda sucks and default dynamite can be situationally better than the multi dynamite sometimes

Yeah i wonder why people don't use the fishing rod it can be really annoying when u think a Tom and Jerry is dead but then they get a extra second of airtime and a boost of speed going forward and then it is basically impossible to edge guard them when they have fishing rod perk and then if ur low they can can kill u with the fishing rod offstage when u think you killed em but then they clutch the kill with the fishing rod and it's really good offstage because u get airtime and everything and if the fishing rod is out long enough it has a sweet spot so it can make it way easier to kill with the fishing rod and I like how u can get Jerry with it too if u land it on him or if the fishing rod is coming back(all of this information I'm giving before the vid so if i say some stuff that he mentioned thats why

I've seen people say that they go out of their way to avoid using the fishing rod and I think they're crazy. I wouldn't say I use it all the time but I use it pretty frequently, more than any other Tom and Jerry I've seen

btw man, I find it when you lost Jerry, you neutral special on an enemy. The tennis ball bounces back faintly and you can hit it with your tennis ball. I can combo someone really close by tennis balling, wait for it to bounce back and the enemy to get closer as well, you hit both them and the tennis ball at the same time, and it wouldn't like hit him with the ball speeding away without even hitting him, no. The ball already hit him when you hit both of em.

And people say batman needs a nerf 🤣 Tom and Jerry needs to have either his normals MASSIVELY nerfed to borderline useless OR have Jerry die in 1 hit. At this moment tom and Jerry is the only one in S+ tier with only bigs bunny coming even close to him. Hands down the most annoying and unfun character to play against in the game. I don't even play against tom and Jerry. It's just a massive pain in the ass and super annoying. And let's stop pretending he is "hArD" to use. Be is not. He is just a set up character with normals that are better than almost everyone else so...he can easily spam normals as well. Just like bugs bunny. Both tom and Jerry and bugs bunny have easily some of the best normals in the game
