Is traveller boxer Ricky Gorman the next Tyson Fury? | BORN TO BRAWL 

Ricky is a fantastic lad and very talented boxer. Used to train alongside him as a schoolboy under Joey Singleton in Crewe years ago. I remember him at 16/17 years old knocking the heads of 20+ stone men. He was a role model for me as a young lad. Great to see him on the ranks. Best of luck Ricky!

Two types of travellers: Ricky Gorman’s or Billy Joe Saunders. One would help you at the side of the road while the other would laugh and give you the middle finger as they went past you. Ricky is a credit to the traveller community.

Been following this lad since the start with JB (anyone that hasn't watched the RU-vid online series then get on it now) and I have seen nothing but consistent progress at a very quick pace. That over hand cross is a mean shot and going to sleep a lot of fighters over time. To early to say just how far he will go but I genuinely think he has the potential to go all the way IF he continues to improve and train at the rate he has been. I wish him nothing but the best going forward and please keep the humbleness and respect that you have shown thus far as it is a great trait to have as a role model for younger fighters. Hope to make one of your fights one day. Get up lad.

The BBTV series on the Gorman's is wonderful. The tribute to Tommy Dix nearly made me cry. Ricky is his own man, and has his own path, and shouldn't be compared to Bartley or Sam or John or Tyson, etc. He'll carve out his own little niche in boxing. Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all

If my workings are correct they are 3rd cousins, Tysons great grandmother is Kathleen Gorman I believe thats who he is referring to as his great grandfathers sister. They would share a 3x great grandfather in Bartholomew Gorman (born 1936) who was in turn great grandfather to the Bartley Gorman well all know! :-)
