I was working on a remake of this map in 2019 called Troll and Elves 2019, fixed most bugs and shit, and I can tell you this: despite the map working on multiples of 4, it is insanely unbalanced and can never truly be balanced. You enjoy it for what it is: a speedrun experience.

This has to be the most unbalanced version of TvE I've ever seen, those tomes for troll are ridiculous. Great video regardless, I think with some proper rebalancing it can be a good map. 4x mode is more of a speedrun than anything, 1x (original) is the most challenging and rewarding
@@dankmemes8254 yes agreed, just not these janky op tomes (idk what version this is I used to play this like 7 years ago) , i know 1x can be slow for new players but its all about balancing greed and strategy

The idea is good but the balance is well let's say it was balanced by overclocked Edit: this is the 4x version wich is the worst one becuse elf income start at 4 and is upgrade house gives ^2 of the previous tier meaning elfs will always win unless someone fed the troll on purpose also thosse Stat books did not exist last time I played it has been that long it is outright busted
trolls should buy life and life regen to start with, then defense, attack is no use in the early stage, just attack speed with 2 prikly swords will do untill you get lumber, then boost up defense and life so you can greed mroe
working my way down the list of the 400+ vid list of maps and well i wont even admit to how many hours ive spent on lanparties on this map. we even went "friendly" rules so no insta kill troll player for first 1 min. just enough defence (lvl) on tower(s) to only give some "feed" before they gotta run off to heal etc. and then it was open game. made for 40-50 min of fun and namecalling in the hall we were renting to play.
