athleticism and size and defense matter man, gee. Kendall Marshall Tyler Ennis Ty jerome all over again. One thing i find funny is i have not seen suns media ever criticize or flat out just say the suns got it all wrong, they liked nearly every move they make, rationalize every player james jones bought in, and suns are worse than ever, but still they keep liking every move they make.

So, if it was me. I'd take kolek because the way he plays will make everyone better and his shooting and scoring in the lane is similiar to nash. As far as us getting a big in what is supposed to be a very weak draft . I don't see why we can't still do that. Maybe deal for holmes or bona. If we get a second rounder , grabbing Ryan dunn would help cover for both kolek and broker's struggles on defense. He is an elite level perimeter defender on the wing. Kolek running the offense means booker, beal( who should come off the bench in an instant offense role) and durant aren't forced out of position running the team. All they have to do is score and attack the defense.

Anyone who says the Suns got it all wrong after one season of this 3-4 year window isn’t very smart. They still managed to win 49 games in an absolutely loaded western conference, despite all the roster flaws, bad coaching, and injuries all season. Last year the Mavs didn’t even make the play-in tournament. Everyone wrote them off as a failure was called the Kyrie trade a disaster. There was fear in Dallas that Luka was going to want out. They made some smart moves around the margins and now they’re in the NBA Finals 12 months later. They nailed their vet minimum signings and they made smart trades. The Suns can do the same thing, and 10 months from now this is going to age like milk

@@jeffchronister4092 from nbadraft Weaknesses: Kolek’s speed, size and athleticism is going to be the main concern with scouts for the draft … Doesn’t jump out athletically with his vertical ability and will need to test well at combine to put some of those doubts at bay … Defensively not elite, may struggle against NBA caliber players which could hurt him and limit his minutes … Will be difficult for him to match up with quicker and bigger guards at the next level … While the shooting has improved, Kolek hasn’t shown a real willingness to shoot it with volume from deep (attempting just 3.9 3’s per game this year) … Has a little bit of an awkward shooting form that may make it tough to get shots off and over defenders in the league … His play style may not translate in the NBA with how different the speed of the game is, won’t be as in control as he has been in college … Turning 23 in March so a bit older for a guard in the draft … Questions if exist about whether he will be able to get by NBA defenders or be shut down… He will need to add muscle to keep up with the physicality of the league … He will need to show his offensive game and work ethic makes up for defensive struggles …

I have been saying the same thing. What is JJ’s obsession with drafting non athletes. There are so many athletic wings and centers that should be on the board. Even if Kolek turns out to be a good player, it’s a dumb pick and not what we need

@@nickross4263 to get even smaller and less athletic is maddening. you surround KD and book with defensive athletes with one or two offensive niche that's it, it's not rocket science. one defensive athlete who can finish a fast break like derrick jones jr, one defensive athlete who can shoot three and facilitate a little like caruso, and a defense athlete who is a rim protector, switchable on perimeter and is a lob threat like Kel'el Ware, that's all you need, put beal on beach and with allen you get all the bench scoring and insurance against injuries you needed... book and kd should give you 25ppg+ each, beal 18ppg and allen 12ppg, that is 80 ppg covered, you only need the rest of the team to give you 40 ppg and you are already the top offensive in league with a top 5 defense as well.

I’m happy he at least said it. Locked on suns is legit holding it down and I wasn’t really a fan before. Bartelstein just always has this dumb look on his face all the time, I’m def worried for the future of this franchise lol

24:05 Brendon, this is projected to be the worst draft since the 2000 draft which featured Kenyon Martin as the best player in that draft class. I’m not convinced that there’s a prospect in this draft class, especially one who will be on the board at #22, who can solve one of our glaring roster needs and immediately contribute to a title run in his rookie season. Do some research on players who got ANY playoff minutes in their rookie seasons, let alone ones who were major contributors to a deep playoff run. And the list gets smaller when you narrow it down to players drafted late in the first round. Christian Braun (21st pick) was the 8th man in the Nuggets 2023 playoff rotation as a rookie, so he probably represents the best case scenario as an outlier, but he wasn’t a major contributor who was heavily relied upon in the playoffs. Denver’s top 7 was already established and Braun was just a nice little addition who provided playable spot minutes. Braun was also in a loaded draft class stacked with talent, so even a player of his caliber is unrealistic. The Suns have glaring needs that need to be addressed and they can’t afford to role the dice with any of their few remaining assets. If their 22nd pick paired with Little, Nurkic, or Roddy can get them an established veteran, they should not even blink before pulling the trigger. They’ve already mortgaged the future for this short window. The potential upside or ceiling of a prospect is nothing more than icing on the cake once the immediate contributor box has been checked.

I love this list. Even though I think they should trade the pick, if they do ending up drafting someone all 4 of these guys are intriguing prospects who play positions of need and they’d all make be a great fit on the roster. They’re also all realistic targets for the Suns. You know ball

Phoenix suns g- League team is good but who ever finding these players adding talent is terrible this 12 players or the worst talent on the market they need help finding talent on the market I don't no if James Jones or the new Brooklyn nets coach but if you look at both teams they have the worst talent on Phoenix and Brooklyn the road players but terrible Phoenix suns got to be better finding talent you just can't get any players to win
