I think Riley HAS to move on at this point. If he does not, it will set the bad precedent that a qb can string him and USC on in the future. The point needs to be made nationally that we won’t put up with this.
There has never been one player that is above the team, one of the reasons we don't put names on our jerseys. You either want to be part of the Trojan team or you don't.
Juju reminds me of Donte Moore and Melachi Nelson. I'm not completely sold on him. IMHO he has some bust potential. That rockstar attitude when it comes to recruiting reminds me of Korey Foreman What did they all have in common? Longstreet reminds me of Justin Fields, Jayden Daniels.
You're not the only one who is turned off by JuJu's personality. I hear this a lot! There is so much more that I can say right now, but, timing is everything.
Here's the word, JuJu is definitely decommiting. Longstreet is a 85% flip to SC. I like JuJu better but Longstreet is talented and Coach Link turned Hurts into a legit QB instead of a QB that runs and throws easy passes. I do hope JuJu reconsiders, I'm just glad Longstreet is an option.
Thanks, again, Marc… ”you da best”! The whole Juju saga is both confusing and frustrating. If he is supposedly our best recruiter in Texas, getting some of his teammates and others in the area to come to SC, why has he not shut down his recruiting? Is he taking the wait-and-see attitude on whether we’re actually going to be better (CFP-bound)? You’re absolutely correct in that he needs to s-_t or get off the pot! FIGHT ON!✌️✌️✌️
The whole fanbase is ready for the juju saga to end & I wonder what happened with Marsh, it appeared USC was in the lead for awhile and then it just went south…
More than 200 returning receivers produced more than Branch, Robinson, and Marks last year. I can't comprehend how you can see this as a slight to USC.
Let's not forget how horrible the team was in 2023 when we talk about disrespect. The WR's don't deserve anything before the season starts. Mid-season when the nation see's that this group of sophomores are a force to reckon with ,the national media will have time to retract. I'm glad nobody is giving us any respect because the team has done nothing. The nation will see us soon and they will see that this isn't 2023.✌️🏈✌️
@frunkdup828 The team, in general was carried by the offense. However, Riley's lack of running the ball, Caleb Hero ball, Not firing Grinch and defense couldn't stop you or I. That's the stench of last season for me. The nation seen the same thing. I'm so happy what Riley has done to fix the issues, but it's based on pure potential. I strongly feel we can make the CFP. The lack of respect is merited because of the disastrous season last year, and it still reeks. Looking forward to September 1st to change that perception.✌️🏈✌️
We don’t deserve no one on that list, Branch is a better returner right now than WR. If he proves he can produce as a wideout than he’ll be added accordingly
Really impressed with the transformation of the players bodies. There is no doubt that Grinch's smaller type players were getting pushed all over the field the last couple of years. I cannot even come close to understanding how he could have ever thought that was a good recipe for playing winning football, as it never has been throughout history.
Let Riley work out the Julian Lewis. ON3 asks the same tiresome Ju Ju question 10 times a day. Leave the dude alone he'll come or not come and Riley will know before anyone at On3 or locked on USC. It will all work out.
Morning Marc, is possible that Husan is having second thoughts about his commitment to A&M. Juju has been helping with the recruiting just ask Corey Simmons stepdad.
This type of story with quotes doesn't just appear out of thin air. I know about the Simms comment, I talked about it on this show when Corey committed. How many times have you heard me use the "F-Word" on this show when it comes to recruiting?
Set the tone… if JuJu is whishy washy, drop kick him to the curb and move on. SC will always attract great QB talent. And Riley’s style of offense and his tutelage will make a good QB perform at a high level. Ask JuJu to make a move on SC publicly or we need to move off the JuJu train. ✌🏽
My stance is, my team against the world, other teams against a team or two or three that I’ve just never was a fan of for whatever reason, my conference teams - even the ones I may not normally root for over whatever reason - against the SEC and other conferences. Seems to work for me even though it doesn’t always work out haha.
They need to make it possible for recruits to sign a National letter of intent whenever they want to, so this sort of nonsense doesn’t happen. Same with Duece Knight in Notre Dame. They can sign or the team can move on. Because recruits holding colleges hostage is unproductive.
Hypothetically speaking, could Julian flip his reclassification back to 2026 instead of 2025? I think he's come to terms with the fact that he would just be sitting the bench for the next 2 years anyway.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out Juju - we certainly don't need any head cases at this point. We are under the RADAR and have the advantage because people know that we were a few plays away from being SB .500 last year and no bowl. Do you remember Tim Floyd's theme the year of the Sweet 16? Workman, even passed out orange work helmets and construction zone stuff. We were Men at Work. We need only that tude now.
C'mon Marc! More than 350 players had more receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions than Branch and Robinson last year. 350!!! Why should they have been on the Biletnikoff list? You don't make it based on reputation or potential. You can't look at anything objectively.
Marks had fewer catches than Branch and half the receiving yards of both. There are more than 200 returning receivers who produced more than all three last year. I can't comprehend how you can think this is a slight to USC.
@@onourpath Maybe because you don't understand nuance? Marks was the first in MSU history with 214 career receptions and also has the most receiving yards by a running back (1,225) in Mississippi State history. He holds the MSU record for consecutive games with a catch (45), which is the longest active streak nationally.
@@onourpath It's not just you. Someone told me how off the wall this take was. The audacity to try and talk about nuance, coupled with a healthy dose of condescension, is rich. TE and RB count from the Last 5 Biletnikoff Award Watch Lists 2024: 2 TEs, 1 RB (not "lots" like claimed) 2023: 4 TEs, 0 RB 2022: 3 TEs, 0 RB (Marks was coming off an 83 catch year under Leach and did not make it) 2021: 7 TE, 1 RB (Borghi again..coming off an injury with only 1 reception in 2020) 2020: 5 TEs, 1 RB (Max Borghi at Wazzu off 86 catches in 2019 in a Air Raid system) So in the last 5 years the watch list has only had two individual RBs listed (3 total, 1.2% of the 250), and has only averaged 5 TEs a year (8.3%, 21 of 250..there's The Mackey Award for them). Arguing that McRee or Marks should be on the list is not an argument that can be made in good faith. Marks by the way is coming off a 23 catch year and is stepping into a system whose lead backs have had 21 and 23 catches the past two years. McRee, a 4 game starter in 2023, is coming off a 23 catch year and a knee injury. Does he deserve a spot over Mitchell Evans or Colston Loveland, the two TEs on the list this year? McRee isn't even on the Mackey Award Watch List (48 TEs) so arguing he should be on the Biletnikoff list dominated by WRs makes no sense. Other weak points/remarks made include dismissing Kelly Akharaiyi, a 1,000 yard (6x 100 yard games) WR because he'd never heard of him, only displaying his lack of knowledge and not strengthening his case for guys with such household names like McRee and Marks that everyone surely knows. In addition to that dismissing Travis Hunter, who basically plays both ways full time and is a returner as a "part time WR", was just ridiculous. 44% offense/56 % defense along with 30 special teams snaps. 57 catches for 721 yds and 5 TDs, 2 catches less than our top WR last year.
Riley taking a CA player over an out of stater 😮💨 i’ll believe it when i see it, remember he prioritizes players who fit the culture, the southern/texas twang type 🤠🙄
I like Longstreet better than JuJu. Lewis has lost the majority of the fan base . Get a great kid from California that loves USC and move on from Lewis.
Well we have to do what we have to for the team ie SC....I don't see a future at CU for juju if Deion does leave- That said he could portal out of CU but lose a year of good development...Hope he makes the best decision for himself..Fight on juju!
Good Qb but has definitely shown he’s a Deva. Someone who believes he deserves the starting Qb spot. Instead of earning it. He has fallen in the ratings and and observably so he reclassified which has make him look pedestrian
Listen to the first verse and chorus of The Eagles’ song, “Already Gone.” That should be what we say, or sing, to Juju. Husan, we welcome you to come and wear the coveted Cardinal & Gold and be our guy! FTFO!!!🎉✌️👍🤙
Living rent free baby! Riley has his flaws but you are dumb if you are a QB and think you can do better playing for anyone else. That’s straight fact. He has more Heisman’s than most programs by himself. Oklahoma wouldn’t be sniffing near the top of that heap without Riley. Get over being bitter. You all sound like you like Venables so stop being such a salty ex girlfriend
I replayed El Hombre's "Walk-by" the media10 times in hopes of finding a "good morning/hello",,,. This wasn't a "walk-by" but more like a drive-by, the disgust/distaste this person has for media thus us fans is tremendously pitiful. What did you do to this person, Marc and friends,,, scared him for life! Hypnotized by the twirling whistle perhaps??
Is anyone surprised by Riley's lack of recruiting chops? I know he's never been known as an "ace recruiter" but you would have thought that first season would have given him some recruiting cache. I know people are going to mention NIL money and it's a factor, but it's not as though USC's cupboard is completely bare. Riley said last week that he was thrilled with USC's NIL situation, so what gives? Several reasons, but let's acknowledge his lack of interest in recruiting local talent. Oregon owns Southern CA, while Riley's focus is out of state recruits who are prone to deccomitment. I don't know of one successful major program that doesn't lock up their backyard. We'll see if Riley's strategy works long term.
"Riley said last week that he was thrilled with USC's NIL situation," Was he born in Chicago? so much hot air from our Hombre's mouth. Sorry Marc, but I have zero respect for condescending people.
@@coolstorydel4545 Recruits say that do they? It's a wonder he hasn't had more success. I only care about results. He did a good job in the transfer portal in his first year because he had playing time to sell, but now he has to sell his program and it's not resonating. I hope he's able to pick up the pace. I want the program to succeed.
