My brother and I play on a private server and it is so much fun. But one thing to know for people looking into starting before the new update comes, the new update is going to wipe progress. There's too many fundamental changes happening to be able to keep old saves so all old saves will not be transferable to the new update. So if you want to keep your progress I would wait until may.

Love this game, and have 102 hours invested in it. Taken a long break as I've been waiting for more content, so the major update in May will be welcomed :D

i completely forgot this game i decided to download the game and play again, and now i cant stop , believe me this game has sooooooooo much potential, its a very rewarding game the loot the boss reward the crafting the gathering, people nowadays really dont know what a good game is , there is simply to much choice , i remember the sega nintenda the wholeeeeee bus , anyone who has a decent mind knows what this game is , i really really wish the game developers bring out a new game but than maybe not in vampire mode , i get very nostalgic feelings like red alert or age of empires when upgrading or gathering, maybe a strange metaphore but anyways if someone wants to play im currently playing solo pve minding my own bussines have a great day

$1 per hour and if you had fun it's worth it. $20 game should get you 20 hours and unless it's for review purposes i can't imagine someone putting in that kind of time for a game they don't like. I am old enough to remember Arcades and a quarter buying me 5 minutes at a game. This video was very informative. I look forward to playing it when the game fully releases.

m a middle class guy can hardly afford even this game i was saving money for ark 2 but looking at this game i was wondering if i should buy this or not..any suggestions will be appreciated..because before this i bought solo for 50$ and that game shut down and i was given no refund due to its tutorial itself being of 2 hours i guess or maybe steam just scams people..i bought new world but they provided no SEA server lost my money again now in search for a fair 2 play mmo...so i was hoping for ark 2...but then i saw this game..

Haven't played since launch after doing almost everything and quitting the server I was playing because of admin abuse lol. Shit was fun as fuck though, I love the vampire gothic aesthetic along with PvP and base building, it's a blast with friends going out with your squad. I dislike Early Access as well, I'm definitely hopping back on when the update drops

I really want to like the game. I like the setting and the combat but I don't like anything else. I don't like crafting, I don't like base building, I dont like playing with others and I don't like survivor style games. I want a singleplayer storybased ARPG with the looks, combat system and setting of V Rising to be happy. Kinda sad that it's not my type of game. I really like the idea of it.

The Gloomrot update basically added everything the game needed to be a complete game, honestly, the devs should of waited a year before releasing, my guess is they released the game a year early because they ran out of money and couldn't afford to take out any more loans so had to release in early access. Where as before Single player was an absolute no-win grindy, glitchy, buggy, poorly balanced broken nightmare on default settings and the only way you could enjoy it was by cheating or tweaking all the settings to the point where the game became challenge less outside of the bugs and glitches allowing bosses to somehow beat you by randomly resetting. After Gloomrot, single player may still be grindy as hell on default, but now it is legit at normal power scaling actually is now balanced with both the missions and the boss encounters as well as unlocks progressing in a natural pace allowing the player to upgrade and build their castle as they go without requiring constant renovating to relocate everything. Also after the patch which came out a week after which fixed all the issues with Gloomrot for everyone not running a high end PC with 16GBs of RAM with an i7 in it, lag rubber banding was also fixed... mostly, unless you have a potato PC, in which case you'll encounter it sometimes when you load a new zone tile into memory. Was this game enjoyable before Gloomrot? Single player, nope. Multiplayer yes... with friends. Now the game is scarier in multiplayer than it was before while also being an enjoyable if somewhat a little grind depending on your settings in single player. With a natural flow to combat, also bosses do not absolutely trounce you anymore, boss progression flows naturally in line with your power scaling in both gear progression and spell unlocks, is a boss smashing you? You should probably equip the latest spells, since those are obviously given recently to deal with the current boss or maybe you need to use the potions you recently unlocked to craft. Potions are also much easier and more accessible to obtain now with the new gardening system allowing you to easily set up your own herbs in your castle which yield way more than you'd ever gather in the wild; Potions before were optional, now they're necessary, sun and silver resistance early game, then garlic, *especially holy and fire* resistance mid game (I can not stress how important they are) as well as late game. The only downside is the game lacks any real frost/ice or lighting resistance is general, no lighting resistances is frankly... annoying in gloomrot content which makes up "part 2" as I like to call it of the new mid game which has the highest number of bosses. While Frost/Ice is a constant pain and makes for the most challenging and annoying bosses to deal with as you have zero defence against it other than to clench and try and dodge their mechanics by remembering their tells, because if you get hit, unless you have the ability to heal, the situation can go bad very quickly; While the early Frost/Ice bosses are pushovers, the ones from level 44 onwards can and will crush you on default settings if you make mistakes.

No, this game is not worth it. The developers already gave up on this game months ago! Velhiem is so much better at quality of life. - game camera sucks. - the game tutorials suck. - the modding even gave up on the game, there are only ten mods for this!
