I'm in dj sanghvi 1st year and ik at this point all of you who gave jee would be like our career depends on the result and all but believe me once you are in college you'll realise what a big mad rat race it is..if you get iit or nit wonderful if you don't it's alright yeh 4 saal apne skills develop karo and pls don't live in guilt..just do hardwork at all stages of your life :)

Atleast they are educating more than 10,000 students in a single campus.. Not like IITs who have bigger and more number of campuses but still having just 10,000 seats.. WTF they r doing with the empty spaces, and saying that they r proud on themselves.. Its shameful for the government that only 10,000 out of 10 lakh students r getting quality education, But seriously those top 1lakh students also did hardwork, IITs should be ashamed on themself because they can't manage faculties to educate 1 lakh students in India with the population more than 100cr..

I think VIT Vellore Stats are combined with VIT Chennai as Chennai is a branch of Vellore. Other colleges of VIT are independently established.

As a student studying in vit i can confirm that all the information stated here is true and it requires hell of a work to grab gpa above 9. So if you can organise yourself well,you can enjoy your college life and also have a decent placement of 10-12 lakhs.if not don"t even have a thought to come to vit. ~your senior.

Just want to add another point here, grading system in VIT is relative for theory subjects, and absolute for Lab components. Absolute Grading is what everyone is used to (in schools). Whereas, relative Grading depends on the performance of individual class, (maximum capacity 70). It is calculated based on your and your class's performance (and not on other 6000 students'). Another thing is, in most of the colleges I have heard, there is only a single Midterm Assessment, followed by Final exams, but here you will have two such midterms (called CAT I and CAT II) and Final exam as usual (called FAT). CAT II is open book test.

(Student of VITCC'23) I had a CGPA of 8.1 and got to sit for 90% of the super dream companies and also got placed in the very first month of the placement with super dream offer , most of the thing said in this video is true but I would like to add some points. 1. VIT provides FFCS System which allows you to select your professor and to make your classes time table by your choice 2. Chilling environment with very strict rules and timings ( Hostel in time and Outing ) 3. If you are a 9 pointer then you need 30% attendance to sit in exams 4. 9 pointers get some benefits like priority in Teacher selection in FFCS and Hostel room selection 5. You can choose your own roommates after completing 1st year 6. Provides 3 different catering services in different blocks ( FOOD IS GOOD ) 7. Scoring 8 GGPA in VIT is not difficult if you choose your professors wisely 8. Relative grading and absolute grading for lab 9. All 4 campus students sit together for placement so it doesn't matter from which campus you belong only the 1st slot differ where Vellore and Chennai students are mostly eligible It is not possible to add every point but talking about my opinion, I would say in VIT you will get a chance to grab good companies and try to maintain atleast 8 CGPA for getting eligible for most of the companies . Sometime you may feel that you are in a boarding school due to the rules and strictness . But in VIT you will definitely get a chance to learn as it provides good clubs and supportive professors . Taking about the facilities , VIT has good facilities but very crowded so you have to wait in queue more often. Hope this is informative 😄

Likewise, as Vitians, we were scared of the no-exit rule for the first year too, but then we realized that we could simply leave whenever we wanted as long as we returned before a certain time, and the PDAs are only for papers since students can access everything anywhere. VIT is in reality not as strict as it seems, contrary to what people think 😂

Also 254 offers are not 254 Students. It can also be 1 student having 2-3 super dream offers 💀

Honest review - While I don’t agree with a lot of their policies, it’s actually not that bad. Most of the profs are qualified people with a PhD from IITs and they’re pretty good at what they’re doing, with a few glaring exceptions of course. The hostel rules are very strict for girls, that’s true, but for boys - it’s quite chill honestly, and after 1st year, the wardens are quite chill. The rooms are fine and 90% of the messes are good, so you can find out the better ones when you get here. It’s a learning experience for everyone and it definitely makes you a stronger person. Overall, I don’t really have a problem with the place. Sometimes it’s really annoying, but it teaches you.

Also average package for cse/it students is 12-14 lpa. The result shown is 9 lpa since there are so much of students and many branches so avg package is low due to so much of students. Rest for cse/it in particular the avg package is good

Hey VIT vellore student here, the hostel fees you shown in your video is much old. The revised fees is much less than this, I am currently in 4 bed ac and my fees for whole year is 56000 not 72000.

If you think that being strict makes college bad , it's wrong as VIT has maintained a decorum and rules like attendance criteria, hostel in timings are already known before taking admission, so plan accordingly

As a VIT student(2027 Batch), I can say the NIRF ranking is justified because VIT spends a lot in research. However, most JEE students don't gauge colleges like NIRF, they mostly see placements while NIRF sees research.

On the other hand, my friend, who completed his graduation from VIT in 2023, secured a job offer of 10 LPA. We're both receiving near about similar packages. Does it make any sense to take admission at VIT? I want to clarify that I have no negative sentiments toward VIT. as a viitian , strictness toh hai college mein, first 1-2 mahine campus ke bahar bhi nikalne nhi dete, girls boys ka itna kuch nhi, sb chalta hai, campus sundar hai, 9 baje ke baad hostel ke bahar nhi jaana but vellore as a city boht kharab hai, city life bilkul nhi aur khaana acha nhi hai, aur agr 9gpa or above score krte ho per semester toh minimum attendance criteria hat jaata hai for next semester and yeh kaafi useful hota hai yeh
