Boogie Ellis was a damn 23 year old senior🤣 NBA teams do not wanna take a chance on older guys and it's bc guys like ant is in the league compare ant stats IN THE NBA to Ellis IN COLLEGE it's just laughable... Teams like drafting kids bc of potential and because they can develop them if you're 23 about to be 24 going into your rookie season NBA teams already know what you're going to be. Ellis was averaging 16 against college kids and the NBA feels like if they can get a 19 year old and develop him by the time he's 23 he can average like 10-13ppg vs NBA TALENT. Just look at the Lakers 17th pick knecht, he dropped down out of top 10 just because he's 23 lmao. bronny isn't gonna be an all star realistically but he's gonna be a key piece to a playoff team bc of his defense athletic ability and his shooting potential. Not to mention players at the 55th pick don't normally even play in the NBA so if he's just contributing in any way he's already exceeded expectations of his pick. Yes I think that LeBron played a part in bronny being drafted TO THE LAKERS but i think that if lebron isnt in the league and ni where near basketball that lebron still gets drafted in the second round.
