SM’s tactic of pacifying the people instead of directly addressing scandals is damaging. Even if people move on from the topic, this whole situation will make people side eye Lucas. There will always be a “what if?” in people’s minds instead of being able to look at evidence, or even receive a direct yes or no answer. Just because he’s on hiatus that doesn’t mean our questions or confusion stopped. They have the money to investigate this thoroughly and nip it in the bud if it’s baseless!

SM never really file lawsuit to sue anyone(except ex exo chinese members) SM usually just use the same tactic when comes to dating rumors or scandals with their idols. The thing is..many idols ARE dating, partying, having sex, drinking, smoking..etc. They are young. And SM has like 50 young idols. I don't think they want to open up a can of worms and sue accusers cause then SM will have to sue left and right with more and more accusers and liars and fame seekers popping up accusing their young idols . Usually the easiest way is let the idol apologize publicly doesn't matter if the accusation is true or not.. then put him in hiatus for a while and hope fans will be forgiving. ...then promote him and see if he can regain his fandom. As a victim of sa, I feel disgusted that they used that against Lucas. I couldn't go to the police, because the hospital where it happened begged me to stay quiet and they even assured me that the male nurse was fired. Conclusion, he was never fired. He was just transferred to another division of the hospital.

But even I know that is a tall order and probably wishful thinking.

Exactly. SM making him post the apology but never following up on his side of the story just made people speculate that everything those people claimed were 100% true which they probably aren't if we're being honest. I think people refuse to acknowledge or forget that everything is not so clear cut and that there are several sides to a story. It shows a refusal to critically think and it's sad. They could spin the accusations in any way they want but because we weren't there and SM never provided more info, people just come to the conclusion that everything is 100% true. Like for example they could how he was aggressive or some shit but there are no ways for him to disprove that and the world just has to take their word. It's unfair.

Thank you for this article. Based on the evidence found, I believe this was a targeted effort from multiple parties to try and bring Lucas down. I do believe these were false accusations. The damage has already been done, unfortunately, and I hope SM is doing their own investigation behind the scenes and will clear his name soon.

i also want to add on to the comment about toxic fan culture, in china its also very bad. im half chinese but dont know much about the c-ent so this is things friends told me. actually chinas literally making LAWS on it now. also about him "bad mouthing" members. as my mandarin professor says, you can tell how close people are by the way they address each other, and wayv addresses each other the way they would their family members. this is a cultural thing. the reason why ifans dont know this was because they view things in a western perspective

As an overseas Chinese myself (I'm fluent in Chinese), when I first got into WayV, their interactions are wow, literally brings out the feeling of a family. How they speak to each other, you can see how close they are with each other. They live in the same dorm, facing each other day to day. Many China celebrities' private life are also exposed to check their "purity". They even check what they did a decade ago. They also check their nationality. The immediate apology from Lucas is a pr tactic. In my pr class that I’m taking we learned about crisis communication so whenever something damaging happens to a company or person the pr person will know how to get them out of that situation and back on the right track so to speak. Basically you learn that “to give a confession” basically that if what they did was true or not that they are holding themselves accountable and taking responsibility. Basically what I’m trying to say is that someone from his team most likely told him to apologize immediately take some of the heat off but as everyone can see it basically just made it worse and sm/labelv should hire a new pr team for NCT members.
This could leave Lucas so traumatized and extremely anxious with anxiety that is debilitating with anything connected to the entertainment world ,performing on stage in front of fans he’s a man so confident but I’m so sorry to him and for him I hope he has support from friends and family and a good outlet and someone to talk to because I just couldn’t imagine.

To clear up the question about Lucas apologizing even though he is allegedly innocent, SM is known to have their idols apologize for the scandals, despite being innocent, so they can save face in a way.
SM knows all along that Lucas is innocent. The allegations were very suspicious at the very start. Too many loopholes in the not-so-carefully crafted statements and fake evidences in which eventually easily disproved in just a couple of days. Yet due to the hate thrown at him and impulsive leaving of some fans adds to the cancel culture tension, thus got really serious. Thanks to those particular group of Lumis working hand in hand and doing all the investigation process. We all know that one way to identify and uncover them is to start tracing their twt accounts' digital footprints, in which the hired cyber investigation team took a huge part into. When they say digital footprints, it also includes deleted tweets and any other data left by users while staying online in others website. After all the debunking and investigation done, who would have thought that this accusers, so-called 'ex-girlfriends', turned out to be actually a men from different country and obsesed with manga. They are even found in BuynSell (sasaeng) community and BL community. To sum it up: This is a whole made-up story *planned* to squander lucas' career. He is the real victim here. How funny some are still in denial on facts served on the table but were quickly been deceived by just a rumour from an anonymous account.

See this is why I said I feel like a bad fan, a "fake fan" for simply saying I feel a bit still neutral (which OP of the video even said it is good to be neutral still btw) and you cannot blame fans for being neutral since day one. Considering how messy things kept coming out, you cannot blame fans for taking a step back. 90% of fans like myself who did take a step back and be neutral are fans, they weren't "fake fans" or antis. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe some of the fans that helped spread the info never really liked lucas or wayv in the first place and was eager for word to get around. There's a lot of solo stans that were jealous because he was getting more lines than their fav and wanted him to leave. As long as I've been in this fandom I've noticed lucas always got hate but it was very subtle. Now everyone's true colors are finally showing

You know, SM needs a new PR team. They let this get way out of hand, doing nothing to ease fans concerns, remaining silent when several sponsors distanced themselves from Lucas, everything, absolutely every step they took was ridiculous. Sure we could say they were acting under direction from the company but what's the point of being in the entertainment industry if you're not prepared to properly approach and handle accusations and scandals. I feel so sorry for idols who had and will have to sit quietly and watch their fans turn on them whilst not being allowed to say or do anything about it, you only ride out storms in the sea. Innocent or guilty, not being allowed to defend yourself is not good for your mental health.

OP 1 was supposedly obsessed with lucas because he/she reminded him of a character in that book who was popular for having a great personality but deep down he was actually a rude person. The character was also gay or bi which makes sense when u think about the first accuser saying lucas likes men but prefers women. An acc came out a day before jalapeno release to tell us he's gonna get exposed- THAT right there proves this was calculated by a bunch of people who either knew each other or just hate the guy. That account is creepy af because if you go to stalk it it also says an idol is gonna commit suicide. Hopefully it's not Lucas, actually hopefully NOBODY dies from suicide. It's a tragic event and I would not wish that on anybody

I mean, even if Lucas is innocent, SM will still fail to manage it, remember when Taeyong was accused of scamming by selling objects and then sending bricks instead to the person who buyed it. He was proved innocent, but still had to apologize for no reason, which makes him look guilty. Also, if Lucas leave NCT, we will never have a clue on why it happened, just like when Jessica was kicked out of SNSD
He was made to apologise for the "bullying" comments and alleged behaviour. Once the other BS came out from those people, SM did reportedly tell them they would be sued if they didn't stop. That said, Taeyong is Korean and we all know very well that SM doesn't look after their non-Korean idols.

I always found it odd people use Lucas apologizing as proof of his guilt. I'm not an NCTzen and thus don't really care if he's guilty or innocent, but when I saw people looking at evidence that these accusations may be a bit sketchy and responding with "well he apologized so..." as if SM hasn't literally made another NCT member apologize ON CAMERA for bullying accusations which have been proven false numerous times. It's likely poor damage control on SM's part. Besides, if he was actually, not just dating, but dating FANS who he supposedly got into contact with at events and seemed to use to break company rules (remember how one of them said he asked for stuff because he couldn't use the company's card), I highly doubt SM would just give him what is essentially a slap on the wrist by making him apologize and putting him on hiatus. And allegedey so they say, that taeyong requested not to take legal action againts the person. But sm will take action towards slandering and hate comments, so they did protect him. But believe it or not, doing nothing is sometimes the best course of action. SM is a big powerful company, and if they sued everyone who comes with allegations against their artist, "they'd be painted as big company silences victims". Honestly, there's nothing SM could do which would calm the situation because kfans and cfans are extremely crazy. They believe anything and even a sniff of a scandal makes them turn of their so-called "idol". So, putting Lucas on hiatus is helping him but at the same time, it's not. His ads are visible again and being aired in China so there's that!
