spear fist matchup is about avoiding a parry trade with the fist user. probably not what the guy in the vid was thinking but its how you play it. true that they were spamming moves without thinking tho
Why does everyone wanna parry trade? Never made sense to me, Gotta be the most boring thing to endless parrytrade someone. I think too a lot of people like the feel of speedily dodging around people, This combat does feel more fast and energetic, if you just parry trade nonstop it's kinda slow and boring usually
All the coments are about the game not being as skill as before but I think people forget the 650hp builds 3 bars per crit heavy and flame spaming and a lot of other things to be onest the game is more skill now that before (sorry for the english)
Like that old “in deepwoken it’s not power vs power, it’s skill vs skill” or whatever of the guy getting 1 combo’d in a second. That was pretty much every build back then. Plus in old deep parry trades went on for too long, like a single parry trade would sometimes last 2 mins and everyone complained so they changed the combat to what it is now
I praise the devs for making the criticals vary between aerial and ground instead of running and walking. Needing to change my movement in order to use different attacks is genuinely such bad design.
