All the tall male characters have the same model, Itto, Wriothesley, Alhaitham, and Neuvillette look taller because of their thick shoes and heels, Neuvillette looks buffer because of his judge robe, but wriothesley really has buffer model, it seems like they improved a lot on this, the first was Itto, then Alhaitham, and now wriothesley.

They don't have the same model. Leaks have shown that wrio, the jester and 2 other unnamed male characters are the first of the "Buff male" category.

@@cloberlobster2276 He doesn't have this model, in these leaks the new models are much taller than the old ones, wriothesley is slightly taller than other characters, because of his boots. The leaked models are completely different, they are much more similar to the buff npcs.

@@BlondeHairWithBangs that's right, he has heels... Uhh best I can guess is his heels just aren't as tall as Wrio and Itto. I think all the characters start off with the same model template, same height and size, and then they sculpt the character they want to make. I guess they could also easily modify their body height if they want to.

This is why he should take leg day more seriously. He can read and walk at the same time if he tries, I reckon! I really hate the fact that Itto in his drip marketing art he is shown to be buff af, but in game he’s skinnier. Like someone painted abs on his stomach. Wriothesley, on the other hand, is exactly what he is advertised. Buff on drip marketing and buff in game.

If they use the buff male model on Varka, he's an instant pull for me. With the current patch, we still don't have any tall male anemo and electro characters. I'm hoping (copium), that Varka and Capitano (if he is playable) become the first 2 buff male characters and are anemo and electro respectively.

I believe itto doesnt float because his shoes are really tall. I also don't think Wriothesley and Itto share te same model as their arms are wildly different sizes. I hope itto's model gets a buff haha.

Wriothesley is the prettiest male character in the game in my opinion, i think he has a realist design compared to other male characters, i think his body has a more pleasant, visual and natural looks, i think other male characters cant get to this point just as wriothesley, hes just chef kiss, i hope this can be the same for female characters one day, it looks like all characters are using the same base and it gets so boring at the point that they start looking the same but with other color palettes, with wrio they got a whole new perspective of male characters and made me realise that defo every character is getting boring and boring, Wriothesley is definetly an innovating character, more characters like him in the future, truly amazing.

Well, they *are* all using the same base. Hoyoverse is a company, after all. It’s more economical to build characters from a set model than it is to create nearly 100 playable characters. If they all had different models, it could take a lot more work (and time) to calibrate their movements and fighting, while having the same model means they can work from the same base for movements+weapon usage as well. That and it’s just more cost effective to use a template (same goes for any industry). We’d probably have fewer new character releases as a result. So while I do think Wriothesley is an upgrade, idk if I’d go so far as to complain about all the characters being similar. I just think they should tweak their base models to be less “stick-like.” Wriothesley is one of the few that doesn’t make me feel like he might break any second if something sat on him. Like one of those chonky fatui guys.

It’s kinda funny how you can see how character designs change as time goes. Itto with his noodle arms compared to Al Haitham for example. Even Neuvilette looks different compared to other tsll male characters.

I have a feeling it's because of his design. Neuvillette looks much broader because of his coat design (the shoulders, the cravat, the lapels) and because Wriothesley's coat's lines are drawn a certain way (curvier, I think; at least, not straight), plus the sleeves and the lapels and the necktie that give the whole design a little more depth, it gives the illusion that he's buffer. Although I could also argue that the model is different. From what I saw, Lynette is actually using a new medium female model. You can compare using Lynette and Amber or even Xiangling. Using this, it can be inferred that the new men (Neuvillette and Wriothesley) are also probably using new male models as well.

I’m willing to bet my box of nuggets that Wriothesley just has thicker thighs (I think someone did a side by side comparison with Childe- his chest also has more depth). I’ve zoomed in on all the tall male characters bc I was thinking the same thing (that it’s just an illusion from bow his clothes are drawn + colored). But it is not. I know how it sounds but those thighs are above average. (I’m sorry for violating a fictional character, but he’s not real so I’m not that sorry)

They definitely tweaked the tall model. Kaveh had cake in his trailer but playable Kaveh flat as a board. Wrio still got some cushion and wider thighs. His waist/chest isn't streamlined either, he's got upside down triangle top

Can we word this correctly? This isn't the "adult" model, this is the "tall" model. Characters like Albedo are still adults, they are just short. Not to mention the model is blantantly labeled "tall" in the files.

I got Shenhe on her last rerun and Omg she makes his punches go from 8-9 k per hit to 16-20k, highest damage is 45k melt rn, wich is exceptionally high for my standards, he's C0 bc I also got Venti, works pretty well until now but I'll definitely get C1 for Wrio and Shenhe on their reruns

An anatomically correct male in an anime stylized game- This should be a more often occurrence, I'm hapy that Mihoyo finally decided to apply diversity, Itto was still a nooble even though he was meant to be buff. Not all males are heckin' noodle french sticks, some are BIG AND STRONG and literally Bulky in body parts just like Rizz-lee. I'm happy Hoyo is not letting themselves be yeld by the heckin' haters on their community.

I mean, it's great they are adding more diversity, but "anatomically correct male" implies as if skinny men aren't anatomically correct? Even more so considering anime style or not, 90% of video games only give you the option to play as dudes who look like they are over dozing on steroids. That's not exactly anatomically correct by any means. Genshin is refreshing in the sense, we finally have more skinny/slender dudes. Your comment comes off as polarizing to men who aren't buff, lol. You can appreciate one without bringing down the other.

I think the _base_ model is all the same, but things like *HEEL HEIGHT* affect how tall they _look._ Wriothesley's shoes have thick soles, and Itto has those tabi (Japanese shoes w/ two planks on the bottom) that are pretty tall, too. Just noticed how both cryo bois (Kaeya & Wriothesley) have them tight pants, though...😏🍑🍑

I think they still share the same model, itto and wrio looks taller because of their footwear, but they’ve started making improvements of the buff part especially after the itto-the-noodle-arms-oni situation. They buffed the arms (and forgot the legs) and that’s when we got Alhaitham, they buffed the legs and we finally got Wrio 🖤 I may be wrong but that’s wgat i just thought~

Alhaitham got some competition in the thicc department. Well, for arms and torso at least; For legs, Wrio wins and also for height. Damn, now I realise how slim Alhaitham's legs are when comparing him to mah boi, Wrio. o///o Dayummm! Still an Alhaitham simp, but goddamn, Wriothesley does things to me, I swear- Also, isn't Wrio wearing super heavy boots that are probably reinforced with some sort of metal? That would weigh him down, right? Then again, it could also be the entire bakery he has at the back too. Both are very possible reasons! If Itto and Wrio share the same models, why does Itto still have goddamn noodle arms? They should update his model so his arms are more muscular like in the art of him.

In term of height both wrio and itto seems to be the same most likely due to their shoes. But in term of thiccness rizzley top. Their arms and chest are different. Hopefully mhy will gives itto a new skin with updated body in the future

I think dev make Itto and wrio have similar model but they also modified itto a little bit, like wrio get buffed on the arm and lower body+got more sillouette from his baggy jacket, meanwhile itto buffed on the abd but skrunkly on the arm (and yeah, that skrunkly oni apparently have bad diets according to the mhy)

I think you are correct, and also in my opinion genshin male model it's either arround 167cm-ish or +180cm it would be nice if we have new model between those interval (+170cm height character).

I hope they use similar models for future characters!! The male physique in Genshin is a bit weird, they're almost all of them too slender, with stick-like legs, it looks weirder on the supposedly older and more mature characters. The model kinda looks like ''It's a men but almost still a boy'' except a few exeptions like Alhaitham.

Yes I agree we need more males characters with meet on their bones. I personally like playing the female characters for mains but I pulled for Wriothesley and was lucky enough to get him very very lucky. My go to mains are Eula and Wriothesley. I love playing Wriothesley I like his personality and his look is so cool so HOT, lol! Favorite Character is Beidou. I also love playing Yelan and Deyha even though her kit was disappointing. There are others as well lol.

All the guys with heels or tall shoe bases are taller than ones with thin shoes so height really isn't a great comparison. But he does look like he has a wider chest and thicker legs, maybe it's the grey instead of a dark color that's tricking the eye, not sure.
