As a working person (12 hour shifts) it’s a great game for me. I’m playing this game every day for 2-3 hours. It’s pretty chill, casual experience for me. Idk, when I turned on CoD WZ I was honestly lost in 100gb launcher. After finding an actual Warzone, download another 10-15 Gb of content…. I was like whaaaat ??? Ok, first match. Dropped on the ground. Found Kriss Vector (or fenec ? Idk how they call it in CoD…) I’ve blasted full big mag into players back and almost nothing happens, he just turned on me after like 30-40 shots, and banged me with 4-5 Glock shots. And that was my experience. Fastest uninstall in my life. TTK longer than Apex. Multiplayer is just 70€ gun grinding platform without a soul for me. After that mishmash, I installed OG MW2, found a match and had a blast. Even I was getting clapped. Turned on again this game. Omg, for me it’s just place to chill, sometime I will get clapped, destroyed, but it doesn’t feel like it’s BS. If they will release Ranked next season. It will be more chill in casual playlist. No SBMM what so ever. And it’s free ? I’m also not buying skins, just trying to grind, cuz it’s fun for me ! I don’t feel like I’m pushed into buying blueprint to get best attachments like in WZ / CoD. Idc if this game will have less players then CoD or any game, if I will be able to have a match like in 30sec, I’m ok with that. Cuz every match feels natural for me. Edit : + I learned how to counter almost every ability. It’s very simple. Wallhack ? Listen for footsteps and prefire. Shield ? No problem, just take sometime an EMP nade (for Escort mode). Invisibility ? Open your eyes, you rly can spot them. Fire drone ? Just don’t show to your opponent again or just get away faster. Of course an Explosive ult is kinda annoying, but it has its place and I’m not mad after dying to that. Healing is OP ? Headshots. Or Healing Ult ???? Just don’t be seen, get your cover. No killstreaks like in CoD ? It encourages to play objective more. We have abilities and tools how to counter them. I feel like CoD players don’t know what OBJ gameplay is, or how to use your equipment right. And I’m just a working person with 2-3 hours a playtime a day.

The only reason the game is being considered anything above mid is "no sbmm" Idc that its free, Ubisoft is AAA and obv they're planning to monetize it with skins and season passes. Stop forgiving. The game is underwhelming coming from such a big studio. The logic and thought process behind almost everything makes me feel like the devs never worked on a similar fps before, neither did the decision makers.
It always feels like every time a game like this comes out, a new Live Service type game, that the Developers/Publishers were unprepared for it to be a breakout hit. So they seem to just let interest slowly die out while they spend way too long cooking up the drip feed of content. You can't release a Live Service game in the current market and act like you should be given 6 months or more to start rolling out the content. There is way too much competition for that. Too many Live Service games/on-going games that are many, many years into their content. So you can't expect to be able to start at the same bare minimum they did all those years ago. People will just go back to what they're used to if you don't grab them.
well said. The attention span of most people are very short and you have to GRIP people in the beginning...or you'll lose them forever. This game has grown on me a little bit...but it's just so generic. They need something else to stick out.
I'm with you man the game is good it has some things that need to be fixed....like most AAA titles out RIGHT NOW....I don't mind waiting for them to fix something that is F2P....what I mind is when I spend $108 on a game pre launch and get it and for 4 months they couldn't keep servers live or fix the bugs.....(Looking at you, Mw3)
I honestly don't really get how people are saying there are this many gamebreaking issues with this game. When i play it I have fun and with no issues, dying around corners is a latency issue, and thats the reason you dont see yourself kill anyone around corners, cod also has problems guys, xdefiant will most likely get better overtime

These companies need to learn that things like hit detection, netcode, map design, working mouse input, and gunplay are some of the most important things in these games. Nobody gives a shit about a tornado mid-match (I'm looking at you, 2042)

I didn't even realise it had came out. Didn't notice any marketing for it until I turned on my PS5. Not being on Steam is definietly going to hurt it. I definitely agree that a lack of ranked is also going to be have big impact, it really adds extra longevity.

The game is like a frozen pizza with nothing but cheese on top. It's fine, but it does nothing to innovate and ends up just falling flat compared to most - if not all other choices out there.
Playing this game is quite fun for me but only the killing part while the rest is quite trash as this is still feel like in beta state. The reason I said so is lots of gun and abilities are too op, while the rest is underpowered. Example: - The shotgun: pellet is quite random and even though my hit marker appear but they literally take 0 damage. -Pistol: most of them are useless.
They’re not actually taking zero damage. It’s just a weird UI thing. You hit the guy and he took damage, but he killed you before the server registered it so the kill screen says he’s a full health. A weird bug/quirk idk that I’ve seen make a lot of people including myself make this complaint

I don't think the game is going to die, there is a lot going on for it, the maps are really good compared to COD, the aesthetic is quite refreshing although pretty generic I'd agree, the abilities feel balanced, like I don't have a complaint after 30h of gameplay, without SBMM, the games are varied and fun, and it's rewarding to be good, they already have 1 year of content ready, the performance are quite good, the only thing is the netcode, but even tho it can be rough sometimes, I don't find it so frustrating that I want to stop playing the game. Honestly I don't think we need to worry when it's only been two weeks. Yes when black ops will launch it will take some players from Xdefiant, but I'm confident that within a month or two, when the novelty will wear off most people will be tired enough of every craps in BO6 and will go back to other game, like Xdefiant. Honestly I'm kinda shock to see so much complaint about Xdefiant, the game is not incredible that's for sure, but I've seen way more coping when call of duty launches terrible game, full of bugs, not even finished, glittchy, same old maps and weapons recycled for the 40th time, with changed mechanics in the exact opposite direction that the community asked, more SBMM, more completly OP guns and skins in the shop that are "bugged" when in reality they make them OP just to increase their sales. For once we have an actual finished game, at launch, everything works, maybe you could argue it's lacking a better netcode and a Ranked mode, but if COD launched with only those issues I wouldn't be complaining at all. The devs are communicating openly about their game, their is a clear roadmap of what to expect, I mean everyone should just be thankful right now.
Saying COD is massive is a little generous when they add the number of players from all their games to make it seem like "WOW BEST GAME EVER" it feels grimy and a bad look for COD. Especially for me who played all the way back in the Modern Warfare days in elementary school with friends. I think if xDefiant Plays their hand well they will bottom out the next COD in sales and force Activision to look at themselves and hopefully make changes that will actually help the game instead of their wallets.
Once Ubisoft runs out of IPs, that may be the end of the game. However, if they can make the abilities good and unique enough, then it has longevity, especially with Ubisoft fans
Game is out for a week and already people say it will die. Chill the f out everybody. I am an OW player and this game has been “dying” since the GOATS meta. yet still it’s here. And will probably be here for a long time too. For 2 years there were no updates for it and people kept playing. Because it was still fun. The only people complaining were streamers because they didn’t have content to showcase, but kept playing anyway. As long as the game remains as fun as it is, it won’t die. Once corpo greed kicks in and makes it a grind fest, then it will die. For now though, it’s just an old school fun game.
The reasons games end up getting trashed so bad is literally only because streaming became such a big thing, if we didn’t have streamers constantly giving opinions on games I can guarantee that the video game industry would be in a much better place right now than it has been in forever

the netcode and abilities need a complete rework imo and since the probability of that happening in the next couple of months is very slim it means that it will die, then when new cod comes out it will be dead dead. i'm playing it now because of 2 reasons, no other shooters are fun to me right now and its free, sometimes i have a decent time, a lot of the time i am annoyed at the whole thing

I think how economic strain begins to grow playing games will be an after thought let alone buy any cosmetic. Game will soon be a bigger luxury than it should be.
This game actually has a skill gap. Its a great game. Low skill players who dont care to improve will give up quickly. And 6v6 mp alone will only keep so many players interested. Hopefully the comp scene will keep it relevant long enough for it to grow because the foundation of a really great game is there.
I don't think Ranked will save this game, I feel like most people that take FPS games seriously enough to wanna try playing them competitively, especially for money, will look at this and decide that it's not worth it, the game is just too unbalanced. If they address this, then maybe it will, but right now, I just don't see a serious competitive scene coming up around this.

Sniper guns got to go. You made an excellent point in another video and you can tell it's way over powered. I saw netcode and bunny hopping and going to be worked on, but sniper guns will be the death of this game.
I do not believe so , many players have already got all the attachments to the weapons , so they move on to other games until any new maps come along and new weapons . So at the moment season 4 is on mw3 at the moment , it is all about challenges that is what rock peoples boat . The streamers need to make new content that is a different sort of play here as they need content to get the readies in from streaming so like your self and others will want to make content to get viewers .

activision denied sbmm was in the game for ages. Xdefiant has just released and in its pre season, of course there isnt going to be much content yet. And to say it has all these problems and cod doesnt have as many, are you kidding me, look at yt videos of when mw3 came out, spawns were a problem and they had hit detection problems as well. Things were a problem for ages in cod and some never got fixed, but the store was always fixed within hrs....

True sometimes iam dying and the opponent is on the street and iam already in the second room, so there are technically 3 walls between us. Sometimes spawns are annoying as well, they spawn in your back or you spawn 5 times on the same spot in front of the opponent and he shreds you away 5 times. And now pc gamers have to face their main prob again, cheaters. My son is a pcler and saw someone flying around the map. I think shop prices are way to high, 10 bucks for a single weapon skin wow. A weapon skin shouldnt be higher than 2 bucks maybe, it's not a skin you buy for all weapons. We will see for how long I will have fun, atm i have 😂 but iam worried that there will be the day where only high skilled gamers are playing this match. Sbmm is only good for players who got a 0.5 k/d or 3.0+ and if the 0.5- gamer finish the match everytime with 2:20 he will leave this game and then the gamers between 0.5-1.0 will be the new bad gamers and will stop as well. I hope iam wrong.

I was going to say the same thing. I haven't played COD in 3 weeks because it can't connect to their servers consistently. I launch XDefiant and I'm in a game in a couple of minutes. I tried playing COD again this weekend. Gave up after trying to get into a lobby for 10 minutes. Same system, I switch games and I'm up and playing in less than 5. And here's another question, how would you have Ranked play if everybody is starting at 0? Nobody is ranked yet. Nobody knows how good they are until they play. Have the Devs mentioned they're putting in ranked play? Yup, it's not hard, do some research and you'll see they play on putting it in with Season 1 in about a month. Gee, 30 seconds of research and his whole video goes down the tubes. Are they looking into the net code and syncing problems? Yup, they've already started looking into it. Again, just a little bit of research and you get all the answers he's bitching about.
Its a very nice free to play game but it's not amazing by any means. People are hyping up a mediocre game because every COD title has been dogshit for over 10 years. In comparison to the very low bar COD has set this game shines although its nothing special
I don't think you can gauge xdefiant popularity based on viewership alone because the game is relatively boring to watch than it is to play. People just stream pubs, there isn't much happening, there is no challenge, there is no story or anything to get hooked on as a viewer. Its kinda like how there are less people watching CoD pubs than there is people watching Warzone.

Not only playable, actually fun with a lot of different game modes and maps. So from what I have gathered anyone old enough to remember the glory days of old school MW2 and BO1 and BO2 really enjoy Xdefiant and just want a fun game to play at the end of the day and do not care for camos and such. The sweats and cod camo grinders are going to leave soon because they need some them more to play for and that’s okay. Us 30+ gamers don’t care about the unlockables we just want to get some kills and enjoy a few games with the boys before bed.

@@aiden8834 the worst part of that game to me was the fact you had to unlock shit to use it but at such a grueling rate. But it was just a simple game and the PvE was actually fun and challenging. This game could benefit from a multiverse PvE experience as well.
warface’s community was tiny, 3k-2k. it eventually got so tiny, servers got discontinued. the north american server was discontinued, so to play warface in the us you would have to join an asian server. just because a game has a community doesn’t mean the company that makes/publishes the game will do a fan service and keep updating and providing content to the game. companies these days are motivated by money, that’s it.

Xdefiant is bad lol the core of the game doesn't even work for half of us. Having sponge bullets makes the game unplayable, you're basically just there for the people with good connection to shoot and kill with three bullets, and have them think they're good at the game lmao

I don't think players are that hung up on a ranked playlist tbh. The whole point of this game is the lack of SBMM - it isnt sweaty, like a ranked playlist is. Id bet the vast majority of players who are currently enjoying the game do so because its very low commitment and it's very quick and easy to jump in and have a few matches with only a bit of player investment required. Ranked mode won't make or break this game like Enders, who lives and breathes FPS, thinks it will. Not by a long shot. Just keep adding new stuff and fix the technical problems and Ubisoft will have a decent little success on their hands. If they want a big success, add a BR mode LOL.
Ranked is super important for the hardcore player base to latch onto. It’s also has the adverse effect of making pubs matches easier since a lot of the people “sweating” are gonna do it in ranked instead. Everyone loves to see that shit go up
