With the recent blowout of Future Redeemed the future for Xenoblade as whole seems bright.
The connections with Saga are obvious and caught on quick but some people are trying to ignore Xenoblade X in the process. Are they really going to let this game be forgotten forever?
I think Takahashi and Team are giving us direct hints that it's connected and I try to convince you that they can make it work!

@Brumskin. This! Because there is so much cut story content in X they could rework. I did see some of the unused art for the Ares skell matches pretty perfectly with the ouroborous at the end of future redeemed, so they have reused certain concepts in a different context in the main series and I'm not sure how interested they are in X's continuity after 8 years :/

Generally agree. Not only X haters are super condencending about X, but they're also incredibly underestimating Takahashi, as if any of them ever imagined Saga was connected to main games in the first place, and now they think this connection gives X 0 chances to be connected to main games 😅 They know nothing, we know nothing. Let Takahashi cook!

There's also the Telethia lore in X that says it likely came from another world and we know that they're native to XC1 world due to them being Zanza's minions. In Future Connected we see a few Telethia strike the fog rift. There's a chance one of them passed through and entered Mira and became one of it's apex predators.
@SuperSavajin

Since the worlds of XB1 and XB2 are in pocket dimensions it makes sense that the telethia came from another world in this sense.

Probably Fogbeasts are Gnosis being related to Saga, the Fog Rift from FC took those Telethia to X's universe. Afther XC3 and Xenosaga EP 3 ending take place at the same time (or Xenosaga be universally connected to Blade somehow) All the universes might be mixed in some way or they were connected from the start, but we only saw the Klaus experiment shit in the Xenoblade 1/2 worlds perspective There is also some bits of Saga that feel awfully convenient to make it take place in the same universe as Xenoblade

It's always funny to me whenever anyone pretends that the need for retcons would exclude either X or Saga from fitting. There are major contradictions with both, but that radio broadcast really sounded like Takahashi was telling us it was all connected. Why else make such specific references?

I mean, you can use retcons to make anything fit in a story, the real question is would the retcon actually be good. As of right this second Xenoblade X doesn't really get any favors done for it being connected to the trilogy and the trilogy told its story just fine with no need to shove X in it. They could say "X is conncted" tomorrow and we'd still be just as confused about X as we were the day we finished it for the first time. Whereas 2 and 1 being connected was obviously a retcon, but both games benefitted from the reveal the very moment we saw it.

I'd love it if both Xenosaga and Xenoblade X were connected, which tbh is probably the case. The one proper case against them both being connected is that, in Xenosaga, there are no aliens, while in Xenoblade X there are a number of different alien races. I think there’s an answer to this problem: the Ghosts. What if the Ghosts were Gnosis? If we're going off of the theory that Fogbeasts are Gnosis, then it's possible the Ghosts are as well. And therein lies the answer to the alien problem. There are no aliens in Xenosaga because by then, the Ghosts have eradicated all the ones that didn’t make it to Mira. Considering how their battle against the Ganglion involved them directly attacking the Earth at times, and then how they took the time afterwards to hunt down the remnants of humanity on the White Whale, it cam be assumed that the Ghosts are willing/want to attack anything and everything. From there we can assume that they might've started the same offensive against other alien races, and that the members of those species who appeared on Mira had their memories wiped of the Ghosts' attack, making them completely unaware that they are the last of their kind. But then there’s the question of how that could happen in the first place, and I think I have an answer for that. Mira is another version of Aionios. The evidence is all there. If we work under the assumption that the Ghosts are some form of Gnosis and were on a war path against all life, then it's possible that the collective fear of all the aliens towards the Ghosts caused the activaton of Mira, brining what it could to the planet in a flash of light. The only exception to this was humanity, as they simply stumbled upon the planet just as it was about to activate & didn't experience the flash of light and sudden appearance since none of them were truly biological. Alongside this, there’s also the strange nature of the planet somehow keeping humanity alive despite the Lifehold being broken at the end, similar to how characters like Shulk, Rex, Panacea, Linka and more live in Aionios without aging all that much despite the generations of life that occured on Aionios before the point of Future Redeemed. Another point is Laos and his revival at the end of X. His revival could be explained as him turning into Mira's version of Mobius, with the Blak Knight who walks up next to him likely being a pure form of this kind of Mobius, similar to X, Y, or Z. As for the problem of time & how Xenoblade and Xenosaga occur thousands of years after the destruction of the Earth, then Mira cam be an explanation for that as well. We already know that Aionios/Mobius can control the flow of time, which they do by stopping it entirely outside of Aionios, so if we go with the theory of Mira and Aionios being similar then who's to say that Mira can't do something similar? Instead of freezing time outside of Mira, what if instead it rapidly slowed down time on Mira, making it so every second on Mira is a year outside? That could easily fix the major time differences. With those problems out of the way, all that'd be left is the problem of the Earth's destruction itself sonce in X it's stated to have been destroyed in an explosion as a result of the alien war, in Saga no one knows what happened to the Earth, and in Xenoblade it was destroyed as a result of Klaus' experiment. Now Saga doesn’t directly interfere with anything, but Xenoblade and X' do contrast quite differently. However, there’s a fix for it. In X, it is said that they’re not actually completely sure if the Earth was actually destroyed in an explosion. And looking at it's destruction in the opening cutscene, we can see it being destroyed in a bright flash of light, completely different from the dark matter explosions we see the Ghosts use. But do you know where we do see a bright flash of light destroy the Earth? Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2, as a result of Klaus' experiment. Considering that loght we can make the assumption that, while the alien war was still happening, Klaus still managed to pull off his experiment and destroy the Earth anyway, connecting them both. Then this could connect to Xenosaga as well since the colonists sent off before the war would likely have no knowledge of it since the Coalition Government didn’t want to cause a massive panic, so when they would look back the Earth, they'd see that it wasn’t there anymore, and when they looked out to the rest of the stars, they'd see no signs of alien life since they were wiped out by the Ghosts/taken in by Mira. And that, my friends, is how they could all be connected. Tl;dr: The Gjosts are Gnosis and wiped out all the aliens. The survivors' fear created Mira which wiped their memories of the Ghosts. Humans are unaffected because they're robots. Mira is something similar to Aionios, but instead it slows down time for itself instead of outside itself. Earth was still destroyed by Klaus in X because of the light in its destruction being far more similar to its depiction in the main trilogy compared to the Ghosts' dark matter weapons.
@krystami5789
@krystami5789 Год назад
You came up with similar theories I did. Things to support this is the figure at the end with Lao, has a certain pinkish purple hue in their chest. With Mira being another version of Aionios, maybe the whole Noah throwing Pneuma in the ocean,. Fusing with the planet, diverged into another alternate reality, which could then be what is aiding in the whole similar things with everything that led up to Aionios. On another note, everything can link without interfering with the "trilogy" while still being completely related. Now a stretch, a funny but amazing one. If this IS true, know what that means? Rex is related to Klaus, long long lost ancestors of one another. The fact that when things turn to the era of "Shulk" he isn't related to anyone at that point, even if Klaus is technically "him" in weird ways. Since the whole make up of reality changed... This would make Rex the origin of all humanity to a huge degree. Mira is theorized in the actual game of X to be the origins of humanity before Earth.
@krystami5789
@krystami5789 Год назад
@Barley yep. That is the point I am making. Mira may be Aionios/a version of it. If that is the case, who accomplished the whole being together with and freeing blades from being used as they were? Who kickstarted a whole generational line of protagonists? Rex. How does that go to what is in X? Because they said Mira may be originally where humans came from before earth. What if there are two main universes that keep flipping into one another from an interdimensional place? (Extreme making up here) What if rifts kept being opened and eventually one universe became void of "aliens" but the other didn't, what if these aliens where just beings from the other universe. Both thinking the other is bad for their own universes rules? Like Nier but on a giant scale. Either way it would end with I feel two versions of Earth, two versions of Aionios. Rex came from the half that was Earth, Shulk came from the interdimensionally created one. So like what if Rex's ancestorial line eventually made what humans are on Earth by that time, (when Earth&Shulks world fused) which means related to Klaus. Humans blood is special for whatever reason. Probably due to the mix of the different species becoming "one" being If the "trinity processor" in any form is able to have children, it would give an ability of some sort regarding the whole interdimensional properties from them. Being able to actually combat what is on the other side rather than just deal with what it does. (Also Nopon just "are" they have been around always, since before others. They helped "build" the inter dimensional space/they are part of it.)

Worthnote is that Goetia literally says: "We got sucked up by that white light and ended up in this primordial hellhole." This was the first time we were given the idea of a seperate universe created by Klaus. From what little we know it should've been the ghosts to blow up earth and if their ship looks almost identical to Origin it isn't too off to think that maybe it has it's own virtual world with a reversed purpose. Instead of protecting humans from a merge, the Ghost wanna force everything from every universe to merge together even if it means to form a mess of a planet (just look up a map of Planet Mira to see how messed up that thing really is). Also while there are no confirmed aliens aside from Gnosis in Saga or Blade, Blade proved humanoid animal hybrids are possible in Xeno universe and in X Samaarians created Ganglion (who are just a small name for a large variety of different species who all happen to be humanoid but much more animal hybrids).

Unless we all forgot, the Samaarians are the distant "alien" ancestors of both the Humans and Ganglion (and possibly the ghosts). The Samaarians planted a failsafe into Human DNA to counterattack the ganglion in case they were to ever fight back as a way to stop them, which is why they have deep hatred for Samaar and Humans. Makes me believe that nothing is technically "alien" in X, but all distant relatives of one faction. Sure there are other alien life forms on Mira, but I bet Takahashi could work that Samaarian connection with everything. Nopons could have a cool story about how they were apart of the Xenoblade trilogy timeline. This could be the only feasible way, in my opinion, to work with the narrative of xenosaga not having "aliens" in the universe, if everything is connected from humans' ancestral roots.

I was gonna say Xenoblade 2 has all the different races with the Gormotti and Urayans but they all fall under the "Human" umbrella and they all just evolved that way. I don’t necessarily think X is connected yet but it’s odd to throw it off so quickly when X infamously has so many huge question marks as to what’s actually going on. The game makes it clear it’s not just standard sci fi fare going on there and also makes it clear most of the aliens there didn’t arrive directly on Mira and were kidnapped even more so than the mims which we also know aren’t technically human anymore. Something I think worth pointing out is that xenosaga lacking any alien life not originating from humans is itself kind of unusual. I’m not even at the point of head canon with this theory but is it impossible that Mira didn’t just kidnap a handful of each species but all nonhuman species and we just haven’t seen most of them yet cause we only see one chunk of Mira? Another odd thought I had was how little we know about xenoblade 2’s land of Morytha. I know after 3 we know more of what led up to it which was just xenosaga’s backstory. But the actual destruction of the surface doesn’t appear to be from Klaus’ experiment. The Guldo down there were formed because they tried to use core crystals to survive the destroyed surface which based on the fact that Gallea was likely the infernal Guldo it would be implied to have happened after Klaus split the world and shot part of himself and Gallea to the xeno 1 half. I don’t have any answers or theories worth declaring even head canon but I think we have enough questions regarding what actually happened and even the time frames of it all to not strike xenoblade x from even possibly being cannon yet. At the very least I think it should still be open to theory crafting.

@@Kool-Jay I have seen many say so when X came out. (Mainly on Facebook since I was most active there at the time.) They could easily tie them in regarding, well a lot actuslly. Anything with inter dimensional shenanigans can be. I mean "Xeno" in itself can be a hint at that "different in origin" They seem to love adding little details that most people won't notice (like "unnecessary" but fun for them even if nobody notices) The biggest one was with Xenoblade 3, so into the open but just far enough they won't be suspected of anything. Mio, Noah/N, Ethel, collective consciousness, the way each of the consuls looked, certain structures, etc. But anyways, I also remember the biggest convo early on people would fight about when Xenoblade2 came out (outside of character design /I love the character design tbh) is that a small group of people would say "Alvis is Ontos" and the majority would put them down saying how impossible it was and how they were stretching things by a lot. To where people would be "attacked" over it. Even when DE came out people were still in denial about the Alvis/Ontos connection. This discussion feels very similar. When it comes to aliens, inter dimension beings are considered aliens. Actually to bring reality into this for a moment, it is theorized that there may be no "aliens" and that "aliens" that we know are interdimensional beings of sorts. But that goes to show aliens and interdimensional beings are one in the same. "Alien" basically means the same as "Xeno" There could also be "time" travel in the sense of going so far forwards you end up "in the past" because everything in reality in like a Fibonacci fractal, or maybe even a krystal spiral. Considering that X shows that Mira may just be Aionios in one way or another. Earth vanished and wasn't destroyed. Mira seems to be in a pocket dimension of sorts, since no species can leave once entered, kinda like the horizon line of a black hole. The one place in RL time is different for the rest of the universe. It is slower as time outside speeds up. It is theorized you can see the start and end of the universe if you managed to be in it without dying. The end of the universe may end up with us colonizing planets around black holes. So I feel the way they are doing the series is like a flower budding, unfolding on itself from the smallest parts to unveil the most glorious petals. Folding the story outwards little by little, being able to expand into multiple petals that all make the whole story. The full flower.

Personally I think all of the series and X take place in different universes within a multiverse that has similar events and people within them. Unless they heavily retcon Xenosaga and Xenoblade X neither really fit that well with Xenoblade. The only things I think could possibly link Xenoblade to Xenoblade X are Mira and the Samaarians. I've got a bit of a hunch that Mira is the world from the main Xenoblade series thousands if not millions of years into the future, since there are a couple blatant references to Xenoblade 1 in it as well as some landmarks that kind of look like parts of the Bionis and Mechonis IMO. I also have a hunch that the Samaarians are the civilization that developed after the Xenoblade worlds remerged and they eventually became a multiverse civilization that seeds new Earths throughout the multiverse. X's Earth is one such Earth, and the White Whale and the Ganglion and Ghosts were sent to the pocket dimension where Mira is after that Earth was destroyed. This is based off what I believe Luxaar or another ganglion member said they were engulfed in light and transported to Mira unable to leave the planet due to some force keeping them there. If they retcon Xenoblade X to be linked to the main Xenoblade series Mira and the Samaarians will definitely play a big part in that, so while my hunches might be wrong I definitely think those two will be major factors in linking the two series. It might not be in X Definitive Edition, but they'll definitely do it in X2 if they're going to do it. I believe Takahashi said that if they do return to X they're going to have to overhaul the game completely to match their original vision of it, so in a sense it's incomplete like Xenosaga and Xenogears were. We'll see what they do with it's Definitive Edition, which I'm expecting on it's 10th anniversary in 2025. For now until they retcon Xenosaga and Xenoblade X with their remasters/remakes I'm just going to assume the series are not directly connected but connected through a multiverse.

I'm really glad this video exists if only for the first 10 seconds of it. We're in such a turbulent time for the franchise where retcons are going to happen no matter what, so to go "this game will need retcons to work, but theres no possible way this other game could EVER be retconned to work stop coping/lying/setting yourself up for disappointment" feels ridiculous to me. Yes, X would require more work to work compared to Saga, but people shouldn't be acting like everything is set in stone while also saying said stone is malleable.

This is pretty much my take on the timeline. Xenoblade 1 - 3(20XX-4XXX) I have a theory that Xenoblade games take place in a pocket dimension which exactly happens at the same time as Xeno Saga they both events happen at the same time . Similar to Xenoblade 1 and 2. Xenosaga 1-3(4XXX - 10,000 ) now at the start of xenosaga episode 1 and the start of Xenogears happen exactly at the same date and time and the developers did that on purpose to connect both games. And the rest of the Xeno gears happens 10,000 years later. Xeno gears (4XXX -10,000) cuz one of the spaceships that were mentioned in the radio broadcast went to the edge of the Galaxy to get to that planet where the events of Xenogears happens 10,000 years later. But there's a problem the thing is the Zohar and the conduit where two places at once, in fact is at three places at once cuz it left the pocket Dimension and reappeared in normal space. Cuz in Xenoblade 1 and 2 it disappeared probably went to normal space at the same time. My theory is that God/ U-DO can manipulate space and time and can make copies that can appear at three timelines at once. Cuz it's an object I can manipulate reality at will but that's mostly just a theory. And Xenoblade X( 1 billion years??? - 4 billion years in the future) cuz the Exodus plan was planned by most of humanity my theory is they went to a secondary Earth that's similar to Earth with slight differences and renamed it Earth after it disappeared 4,000 years ago and just renamed it. But because of the events of xenosaga most of the Galaxy Federation was almost wiped out by the Giant gnosis( Ark of Abel )the size of a planet cuz 500,000 planets were mostly destroyed or disintegrated. My theory is that the Galaxy Federation probably about half the population or more were killed off and the surviving planets like the new Earth, Kosmos and the others, the planet on Xenogears, and probably other survivors that lived in space colonies. Now my theory is that the Galaxy Federation only colonized about half the universe and the aliens are probably genetically modified life forms that humans altered because they did say they were created by humans or the great one.(Klaus) Cuz the aliens were fighting our probably genetically modified animals that have evolved into aliens, my theory is that after billions of years the human pets like cats,dogs, fish, squids and other domesticated animals evolved into a new species and became sentient. And overthrew the surviving humans but this is just mostly a theory.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

My theory on the connection: "Origin" in XB3 is basically an artificial afterlife; all life "dies" in reality where the two world re-merge, but is saved inside Origin's databanks and then re-materialized inside its own "pocket dimension" that we know as "Aioinios". Imo, Mira is just like Origin, except on a bigger and possbily natural scale. Basically, Mira is (part of) the afterlife where everyone's souls go to after dying. That'd btw also explain why the lifehold not functioning had no consequences for the humans on Mira; their souls were already stable inside the afterlife world. Anyway, that would also explain why nobody can leave Mira: You cannot just go back from death, can ya. All the other weird stuff would be explained, too, like everyone understanding each other's language; yeah, why would there be a language barrier in death when everyone is only a soul anyway? The Telethia and Nopon telling the Monado's legend? Clearly from Xenoblade 1. The cat race? Easily explainable as descendants of Nia/Gormotti. And I like someone else's comment here, pointing out that the Ghosts look very similar to Origin in terms of design - maybe Origin is trying to connect to Mira to become powerful again, merging its artificial afterlife with the natural afterlife. Whether I'm right or not, I'm convinced that XBX is connected to the other games until Takahashi comes out and says "no, it isn't". And even then I wouldn't trust him 100%, considering he also said XB2 wouldn't be connected to XB1 :D

tfw for the future tho since knowing how background lore worked from the original xenoblade with the war then with 2s add on to the same part of the war that connects xenoblade and 2 together with knowing that origin in 3 eventually fixes the whole universal rip that klaus made recombining both together again the recombining fixes the whole war issue that was pre xenoblade but obv that shooting star was elma.... now later on in x in the end were left with a big wtf are we even here alive still (also x ending spoilers) but since ykno no one knew wtf the wii u was supposed to be now we got to wait to see if its ever actually answered personally itd be cool to get x to come over from the wii u but id rather just get the whole ending of x as a start to x 2 with adding a separate option to start from x (more like a double pack single cart) that has the fixed stuff from x and allll the new stuff

It’s crazy people try to say X is not connected in certainty by using information they think they know when Xeno X is extremely mysterious and is open to so many possibilities and realizations, we know less than 5% of X’s lore yet people think they know enough to be 100% sure it’s not canon, not to mention retconning

One plausible theory that I've is that the Xenoblade X humans are the humanity native to that particular universe. However, there are also the Samaarians who appeared at the beginning of the universe and are said to have come from another dimension. And yet, they have some biological relation to the humans from earth. So, the theory goes that the humans from the Xenosaga/Blade universe sed the Origin created for the Xenoblade 3 conjunction to store their souls, thereby surviving the end of the xenosaga universe and looping back around to the beginning of the Xenoblade X universe.

My crackpot theory: X was originally gonna get DLC to tie up all the loose ends. I think this because the level cap is only 70, and perhaps a DLC could’ve raised it to the JRPG standard of 99. But because the Wii U didn’t do so well, they decided to take the series in a different direction and focus on Xenoblade 2.

One theory I keep having that would make everyone go crazy is if Xenoblade 4 will actually be a complete version of Xenoblade X. It would definitely mark a new direction in the main Xenoblade series, and being part of the main series will help X reach a wider audience rather than be treated as a spin off. Regardless, I am certain that the next Xenoblade game/trilogy will put a huge focus on connecting the worlds of Blade, Saga, and even Gears. I just feel like a revisit to X will kickstart a brand new trilogy.

Also, there are many things that de confirm X's connection. The aliens invading earth and not the Rebels. The earth being destroyed (you can see it shatter to pieces) the lack of any visible orbital ring. Cuz I know Xenoblade X definitely connects cuz there are the Phantoms who looks similar to enemies from Xenoblade 3 it's the same technology, there's also Planet Mira and similar to the world in the pocket dimension were the two worlds were merged together temporarily though. My theory is Mira is the original Earth after Xenoblade 3 in the earth we see is a secondary Earth that was renamed After Earth disappeared for 4,000 years. the Nopon are also on Mira and they have appeared and most of the Xenoblade 1 through 3 Pocket dimension which means it's the same world it's just changed after billions of years because there are other civilizations that used to be there until they Humanity when extinct on original Earth/ Mira cuz I already know that Xenoblade 1 and 2 recombined into Mira/Earth which changed the planet to what it is now. But this is just a theory.

I don't think it's impossible to connect X to the main games. I do think it's very difficult to connect X to Xenosaga. The biggest argument against it would be the fact Xenosaga definitively do not have aliens. They simply don't exist, and humans are the only species in space. That would be hard to connect unless they take place in different universes, which isn't out of the realm of possibility, but it will be difficult to do in an elegant way. Xenosaga currently fits with the Xenoblade lore relatively neatly so it'll be hard to incorporate X into it when it contradicts Xenosaga.

It might be possible that the other aliens were wiped out by the Ghosts, who (with thee incredibly small information we have about them) seem like they could have some connections to the Gnosis and the Fogbeasts. Since the Ghosts hunted down humanity in the White Whale two years after they escaped, it seems clear that whatever war they had with the Ganglion was more than just a feud between civilizations. Considering the power shown by the Ghosts, with them seemingly being as powerful as, if not stronger than the Ganglion, it wouldn't be impossible for them to wipe out the remaining alien life in the galaxy that wasn't trapped in Mira long before any of the ships humanity sent out before the war get the chance to find a planet to settle down on.

(note that this is max level of copium im doing here and it's just fun theorizing so consider this already aged poorly) Something struck me with XC3 is how much similarities it had with XCX, the biggest one is the origin working exactly like the life ark, and as you said, the character rebirthing on mira. some location from X straight up looks like XC1 area remains (to cite some : primordia with gaur plains and oblivia with the mechanical rings, like, something big WAS here, and where is mechonis hand in XC3? yes, in the desert area) . Maybe the other side of mira will look like alrest aestetically who knows? Also some XCX artefacts/treasures looks like overworld devices from XC3. XE-DOMS designs look like levnises. you can find black ones, gold ones and white ones (also their descriptions in the wiki : "Enigmatic, pilotless crafts exhumed from the Miran soil. They come in a variety of sizes, and are constructed from some kind of living metal that not even Ganglion technology can replicate. But while the particulars of the xe-dom manufacturing process remain shrouded in mystery, a lucky research mistake unlocked the secret of controlling the units.") and they dont attack humans, only skells like... coincidences are just all over the places here mmmmmmmh also this sounds like a joke, and it's half one, but... how come Mira have nopons (originated from it) and all xenoblade games have the same tatsu-looking potatoes?

People who think the timelines don't add up just haven't put the timeline together correctly... I know the series seems to contradict itself, but once you line everything up, it ALL falls into place VERY nicely. So, starting from the beginning: the Zohar/conduit is discovered in Africa, through experimentation, it is discovered that it can draw power from higher planes, resulting in infinity energy (thus making Tesla's theory of wireless transference of energy possible). This results in massive breakthroughs in human technological advancements. The coalition government (whether they existed before or after the conduit was found is irrelevant) feared 1 nation having too much power, so they chose to put this object in a mutually controlled neutral territory (I.E. the space station, where it was undergoing experiments/ research). while all this is happening, a group of peaceful rebels on earth make the argument that this strange device should belong to everybody, and is making appeals to the government (who just ignore them and reject their requests without giving it a second thought - as they had bigger things to wory about, as I will get into in a minute). The rebel group gets angry at being ignored and starts to becoming violent. The government, which was using the Conduit to create weapons among its various experiments, turns these giant mechs against the populous (thus creating an escalatingly violent war, but with the rebels eventually starting to get the upper hand and nearly capturing the space station and the Conduit). Simultaneously, in the background, Elma has arrived on the world something like 12 years ago, to warn of an impending alien attack on earth. This is why the government was making such devastating weapons, its why the Earthlife Colonization Project was launched, to preemptively get as many people off the planet as possible (without alerting the populous to the incoming attack). The radio message in Future Redeemed talks about some of the early versions of the ships (the ones with actual passengers) being launched, with the bigger ships being made a bit later. (now whether the people knew of the Aliens near the end is unclear, but a lot of people might have been desperate to get off world because the rebellion/government war was getting so bad - but the last wave of ships to launch DEFINATELY knew about the Aliens - such as the passengers of the White Whale - but this would explain why some ships with real people (I.E. the Xenosaga people) didn't know about the loss of earth, or the Aliens). The Aliens show up at the peak of the war between the Government and the Rebels, and in the skys over Earth, the Ganglion/Ghosts wage war with each other over the fate of earth (with motives unclear - but we know the Ganglion wanted to kill humans, since they were descended from the species the created the Ganglion and I assume the Ghosts were ALSO a creation by the same race - albeit with unknown motivations). This is the point however, with war raging above the earth, and also devastating the surface of the world, that Klaus pressed the button and made the earth seemingly blow up. The White Whale escapes, and a few other ships that were launched last minute also get out, but see the Earth in the rearview mirror seemingly go boom. Heres where things get interesting. The worlds of Xenoblade 1/2 take place in separate pocket dimensions over the course of thousands of years before being reformed at the end of Xenoblade 3. Xenoblade X takes place immediately after those pocket dimensions were created, and Xenosaga takes place thousands of years in the future. So in reality, the events of X take place right away (and to them, Earth is gone). Then Xenosage takes place following the OTHER survivors of the Earthlife Colonization Project (from the earlier ships with real passengers, who know nothing about the Alien attack on Earth) who went to the far reaches of the galaxy and built up their own societies over the course of the next 4000+ years, they eventually went looking for Lost Jerusalem (I.E. the missing earth - but never could find it on account of it still being in a pocket dimension) and the ending of Xenosaga is Kos-Mos's body reaching the planet, which coincides with the ending of Future Redeemed, where the worlds finally have become 1 again and we see Kos-Mos's body falling to Earth. The part where a bit of confusion might show up is the Zohar, but I think that can be explained by saying that since it disappeared at the end of Xenoblade 2 (where it was picked up in the far reaches of the galaxy by Xenosaga's people), and the amount of time that occurred in Xenoblade 3, in its altered time state accounts for however long the Zohar existed in Xenosaga's franchise.

As a Xeno fan since Xenogears in 98 and every game Takahashi has made, I’ve always seen X connected to Xenoblade and since X I’ve always assumed it could connect to Xenosaga. The “lore master” RU-vidrs debunk X being connected to Xenoblade in every way possible because “earth was destroyed in X”……….but the ending of the game claims it may not have been destroyed….. Then they claim X can’t be connected because there are Aliens in X and not in any other Xeno game………but X clearly states the Samaarians and ganglion are related to humans and Ghosts could be Gnosis, related to humans, or Observation Terminals of another Wave Existence that may want to cull some of the lower domain OR the workings of Wilheim. What I’ve been the most annoyed with when it comes to talking Xeno with people is the fact so many started with Blade and act like authorities on all things Xeno which is why I don’t care for many Xeno lore channels (I love your channel so you’re not included here). Also, while you could make the case that Baten Kaitos is not related to Xeno in any way shape or form; there’s also the fact that Mira exists in Baten Kaitos and while not the exact same thing, it actually has a lot of the same aspects and mysteries and could make that series a Gaiden or side story. Theres also the fact that the “spirit” speaking to the characters being us is actually a Wave Existence. Just some food for thought All in all, Takahashi is still working on perfect works and we need to LET HIM COOK!

I do think your video was missing the point. Or at least you didnt tried to answer the question how it can be connected. Your message is in short: it might be connected. But i do think the radio for Xenosaga could still be only references. We dont know anything. In the End of the day both are just references. You say for X, the Telethia (that shows up in a story chapter and in an affinity mission), the mention of homs and many other things (for example there is a collectible with a statue of bionis and mechonis) is an easter egg. But that is for me on the same level as mentioning characters from Xenosaga and a Logo (we have the monado clips, and the sword of legendariness in X). And a reason why i think that X is more likely to be connected (next to that they dont have the rights) is that it would be then necessary to play all three Xenosaga Games for the progression of the Story and if i remember right, they had said in an interview that they want to make each game playable on its own. The games are very long and ifyou need to play three games over 50 hours to understand what is going.. im sure you know what i mean. Not to say i would love to play Xenosaga, so at least a port is hopefully coming. I hope they will announce something with the announcement of their next console

I don't know exactly how the time travel took place, perhaps an intervention by Elma or a side effect of the machine at the time of separation but the evidence is there. -the world map is bionis and collapsed mekonis, the strip of sand between the two continents is the sword of meconis, there are notably in the desert pieces of meconis that are still more or less intact. -tatsu refers to "homz" (I know their English names, but it's the name of the "humans" in 1). And the noppons clearly say they don't travel in space. -the motivation of the villains is LITERALLY to destroy biological bodies for fear of Zanza's resurrection. because they are "machinas", they pray to lady mainas in the game. this clue comes from xenoblade 2 (because yes, the “sage noppon” is canon) in addition to the clues concerning xenoblade 1 present in the game, there is a dialogue where Elma says that the world of 2 seems to be linked to that of X, which takes us on the path to the reunification of the worlds. in this case the end of xenoX is resolved, because an object other than the ache of life, has the role of digitizing people to save them from certain death... YES, the origin. both are based on the same technology (human before separation) and have the same work. but actually we would need a remaster/remake of X to add easter eggs to xenoblade 2 (as they did for the first game). and the war is not inconsistent with xenoblade 2 because nothing prevents a series of wars, probably that a first war took place against the aliens, but nothing says that humanity formed a united front against them , it's even the opposite. Close lost his temper when he saw humanity being torn apart for the slightest resource despite the invasion. it is also noted that the technology of 2 closely resembles the tenology of X (more than that of saga) which already hinted at the cononicity of X befor xeno 3.

Instead of saying "X is connected to 1-2-3 and Saga because the creator is leaving small ideas!", we need to think HOW would X be connected to the main series. Like you said, X is very full of mysteries, and the prescence of Aliens almost discredits every connection it could happen. For X to be connected, huge retcons are needed, and I guess that is what X fans dont like, because that would minimize the game's lore. For example, if they end up saying something like "everything you knew was a lie. Aliens dont exist and what you experienced is actually a simulation or something" would make the fanbase angry. X is so different from the main series, changes would be very heavy. Also, for the note, them saying some things from X in that radio does NOT mean X is canon. It means that Earth did HAD those organizations, but the events of X dont happen in there. Like, imagine, a mirror universe, where organizations exist in both universes but things happen differently. Like, imagine the main series universe dont have aliens, but the parallel one, the X one, do have them. Both then would have similar organizations and people in there, but their stories would be different. So, the main question is: what kind fo retcons would be needed for X to be canon in the main series, and in a way that dont minimize the story and characters from X?
@SuperSavajin
@SuperSavajin 11 месяцев назад
The aliens can be worked into the current lore and get extinct until Xenosaga starts. Xenosaga lore needs major retcons as well because the Zohar is supposed to be on earth but isn't during Saga. Xenoblade X doesn't need to get retconned hard at all because the game leaves us with so many mysteries about Mira already. Saying X is a simulation (which it isn't imo) would still make sense plot wise. I see it like this. Xenosaga is 100% confirmed to be connected and is mentioned in the same sequence as the X stuff. If Takahshi really is bringing everything together why would he leave out X?
@mr.voidout4739
@mr.voidout4739 Год назад
Much as I want it to be, the most definitive reason I can't imagine an X connection is that Saga's humanity spread into the stars and (disbarring the gnosis; a cosmic force of nature) found zero traces of sentient life in our domain. Essentially after thousands of years, we're still waiting for a contact. The Philadelphia-class colony ships can be interchangeable between Gears/Saga/X. It's just a Takahashi-ism. In the case of the radio making a case for colony ships, I personally believe it's referencing the beginning of the Migrant Fleet going into the T.C. era once they've made maiden voyages. Thus why Alpha's (California hills...?) setting shows a panorama almost identical to 5th Miltia.

Well Saga cannot be realy connected to the Blade games because legal reason... Saga is owened by bandai, Blade is owened by nintendo. You can do some cameos like Kosmos in XC2 (wich was a deal for Fiora in Project X 2), but if they would include Saga lore, then Bandai would own part of the ip wich would be a legal nightmare for the future, specialy if Bandai and Nintendo would have differend ideas. Nintendo could ofc buy the Saga ip but for what? They can allready use ideas and reference stuff to show the roots and thats more then enough... Just as an Example if they would make officialy make the conduit and Zohar the same,it would be owened by Bandai and nintendo would need to ask every time for permission they would to do anything with it (and maybe Bandai would want something in return) So no Saga is not the same universe as Blade just because reallifereason (andsome of the lore differends, like Zohar was in canada and not in the spacelift and so on). They will just continue to refference stuff without connecting it outright to keep the control, thats all they can do Also X cannot line up with the Bladegames, the Tech is completly differend (just look on skells vs the intstrument), the conflict is differend and so on, even details like the ring arround earth with the spacelifts, no matter if the govermant lied, the world are obviously differend

Maybe she had the ability of forsight with her original body. Which is why Elmas body was the only body on the ship. (But then again was she the only one like that out of Every ship as well?) The fact that the ganglion are afraid of something only found in the human body. (Maybe the ability to ouroboros/möbius/ability to control blades, etc. since they can fight things from the base "reality" all comes from. I thing there have always been hints for x being at least present. (SPOILER WARNING) Gormotti people, makina, high entia, nopon, even at some point blades and their variants can easily be consider aliens. If not it is said that the samaarian, are a more advance version of humans that they have the key to defeat the ganglions, so even if the races in x are more diverse in looks, all of theme can just be a subspecie of humans, probably why all of them can talk and understand each other without even talking the same language The sirens in 2 could be more advance skells, there pretty similar in design The prototype ares skell was used on the future redeem final boss The klaus scene in xenoblade 2 has a unreferenced war on the background, This one feels more of a strech but the cloaked figures that finds lao at the end of x looks pretty similar to the consuls from xenoblade 3. Its more likely that the earth was destroyed but rather that just being blown up, information was gather from the zohar and created back up information, creating the xenoblade worlds, at least thats my theory

Also why would they show "nothing" with the beanstalk in 1, then X came out, then 2 came out which changed the "memory" of the beanstalk to have a space battle going on. At that apparently the story of 3 was completed before 2 was even released. So maybe 3 was being written after X, which if this is the case they could have totally intertwined . Xenosaga III explains how X likely ties in better. You remember how X establishes humans from a dying universe came to the X universe at its beginning and artificially created at least some if not all of the (non-metaphysical) alien life? For reasons that event is very plausible, maybe even necessary to occur in the far future of the Xenosaga universe.
@Kool-Jay
@Kool-Jay Год назад
So are you surmising that the humans from a dying universe are from Xenosaga 3. These humans, which in sake of your point let's say these are the Saamarians, created artificial life which would be the 'humans' we come to know on Mira in XCX. This is interesting, but has three main questions: 1.) How would the Saamarians gain all the technology and resources to fight the Ghosts in that war (if they are from Xenosaga 3)? 2.) Would Elma somehow have to be from the Xenosaga 3 world, but somehow didn't make it to Earth to deliver the information about Mimeosomes and Skells? 3.) If the Saamarians are from those humans of Xenosaga 3, how would their DNA somehow be a threat to the Ganglion (I know partially this can't be fully answered because we don't know why or how human DNA is lethal to Ganglion and other alien factions.)?
@AdamTheGameBoy
@AdamTheGameBoy Год назад
@@Kool-Jay Well X says the humans are descendants of the Samaarians (or genetically related) and they explicitly created the Zaruboggans and Ganglion. Zaruboggans to clean up their waste and the Ganglion as general servants with some sort of DNA activated failsafe programmed into them. 1. The ghosts seem to just be gnosis, so the tech we see in Xenosaga 3 to fight gnosis may be sufficient, but there is plenty of time for tech to advance even further. 2. That's hard to say, Elma could be something metaphysical or she could be another species the Samaarians created to shepherd humanity in case anything happened to them. Monolithsoft could go so many directions with her background. 3. There was something programmed into the Ganglion that is activated by human DNA to keep them in line according to X's lore.

Personally, ever since I saw the Radio for the first time in my own playthrough, I always thought that since both Saga and X aged quite badly in a lot of aspects and mainline Blade has a lot of tractions, that they would reboot/retell a lot of Saga & X that wasn't touched yet. Firsthand I'd imagine a single entry covering most of the Saga 1-3 content, happening after Klaus' experiment, but with updated graphics, gameplay and sound design/music, all with the necessary retcons, better experience and without the fillers. The humans at the end of that game would become the Samaarians, as you said, and would create tons of species. Come today, "Xenoblade 4", post merge of worlds, and Kos-Mos who as in pieces falls on earth. She would essentially serve as a radar for the "Ganglion" and sense that they're approaching, essentially becoming a retelling of X but with many different elements and, by Blade standards, be self contained just like the Saga reboot/tell. It's also worth noting that, despite Nintendo and Bandai Namco being in good terms and a couple of assets and names being licensed to make the references in both 2 and Future Redeemed (and they're mostly the same licenced things), we DO NOT KNOW the actual extent of what Monolith can use, and neither how much will it cost them to use said licensed product. Hence why I think, for the better of the franchise, that Saga gets essentially rebooted to Blade's standards and avoids as many usecases of licencing as possible. Oh and also, X was supposed to be a Xenosaga retell, as said in an Iwata ask, kinda akin to Blade 1-3 being essentially a retell of Gears

Here’s a weird thought… You know how Zelda has that one “Ganon wins” timeline? What if X exists in some kind alternate timeline/universe where Alpha wins at the end of FC? Imagine Alpha won and reset Earth, but in this new timeline he stops Klaus’s experiment from ever happening. Then the aliens come, but the “ghosts” aren’t aliens in the traditional sense. They’re literally the ghosts of all the people in Aionios that Alpha left behind(check out the concept art for ghosts. One looks a lot like the Ouroboros at the end of FC). Elma(Alpha/A2.0) foresees this, and once again uses Origin as an ark to recreate the world, this time as Mira. I don’t really believe any of this, like at all. I just like thinking about unlikely things.

Whenever it comes about talking about X it's hard to explain things without making fans of the game think we're trying to crush their hopes and dreams. The theory of absolutely everything in X was a lie and it's a mystery that just feels too convenient without a real foundation. And saying that they erased the Ganglions and the Ghosts from existence from the universe in the thousands of years which would lead to Xenosaga in theory also doesn't add up because that would mean they would have to kill off all the pacifist alien factions that were in X as well. I feel that X fans for some reason got it in their heads that X is in an ultimatum that if it isn't canon to the main Xenoblade games then that means it will never ever get a port/remake/sequel and that's just not the case. X was meant to be the successor to 1 and Mira was meant at the time to be the remade Bionis world but it failed. After the success of XC2 there is little chance they go back to it. The fact there are so many plot holes in X and almost zero answers makes it legit poor writing unworthy of any Xeno game. All of the other games have a Beginning, middle, and ending... X did not, it felt like what would have happened if Xenogears got cut short and never had the 2nd disk at all. It is UNFINISHED.
