Is Xueyi Overhyped? | Honkai: Star Rail 

Confirmed. I had her E1 launch day and just pulled her E2 a few hours ago, she is officially insane. Ruan Mei Skill (+ sometimes Ultimate) can lead to Xueyi destroying Toughness bars of bosses and elites.

@@IcyVegeta It's funny though because they have some anti synergy going on. Ruan Mei can make the enemies broken for longer which Xueyi doesn't actually want.

​@@DarkPaladinX77 I think Xueyi will age well. In 2.0, there is a support break set that gives allies 24 break effect, a destruction lightcone that gives break and crit. For Xueyi and Ruan Mei synergy I think it will be OP later when Harmony Trailblazer comes out, they repeatedly replenish toughness bar when broken and buffs team break effect, literally sounds like a dedicated support.

@@DarkPaladinX77I agree with you , they both have amazing potential . I think prywden has kind of fallen to the MOC “ meta “ because E6 xueyi is A tier . I just got E2 and I wasn’t ready for her to break non quantum enemies . She is da-yu-mn cool Sampo and Pela have been my 4 star MVP’s since the first patch . Hanya and Xueyi are gonna get some mileage too

What LC and relic set are coming in 2.0 that will be good for her? The leaked break set is for RM and the 4pc only works for ults that target allies so Xueyi can't use it.

@@apachers2807 there’s a new LC that you can get from the forgotten hall shop in 2.0, it has Misha on it. It gives break effect and crit rate which is really good for her

At the same time Ruan Mei decreases her stack gains, can't damage toughness if she keep delaying its regeneration.

@@zentwo_ Sure you may not be able to damage toughness for an additional 20-40 action value because ruan mei flower exists but its definitely worth it especially cuz Ruan Mei lets you effectively front load the break.

I still think that pairing is shaky. It's not as good as everyone seems to think it is. As a few content creators and someone else already pointed out, running her with Ruan will cause her to lose out on some damage.

@@darkhydra4262 On top break efficiency is teamvide, so your other characters chop off bigger pieces and left less toughness for her to deal with.

@@zentwo_ you can totally disagree with me but I think the overall benefits of Ruan Mei are net positive. With allies and her doing more break it can make it easier to set up Xueyi to break with her ult more often. The "loss of damage" is made up by the fact that she (and the team) cause more breaks in a given cycle with Ruan Mei in her party. Now would I bring her to a fight that didnt feature a ton of quantum weak enemies? Probably not unless i go silverwolf and even then the flower break mechanic with ruan mei eats up debuff time. Would I say shes better than QQ? Ehhh probably not, but she's still a serviceable unit.

@@hallyuniverse I mean she is damage dealer and having extra offensive stats alway will be more beneficial regardless. But technically you want atk% + speed+ break + whatever as substats for that build. Or +2 whatever if one of those main stat.

@@zentwo_ No I just mean it's easier to get atk% break speed as main stats and not worry too much about optimal substats be successful with the character, than it is to get crit main + sub stats and also high rolls on the other sub stats she also really needs like break.

@@hallyuniverse Well, yeah? But i don't really see a point, if i build a character naturally i want to get better gear and performance, even if it relatively cheaper build. You had to start with something, but in general

She's not that crazy good but definitely at least A tier for sure and is a lot more reliable in terms of being consistent

Any destruction character is bound to be good. It's just so hard to built her properly

I have e5 qingque but i just hate her as a character and playable as well.... Thinking about whaling e1 and getting more of her in the Process but i figure it would be the stupiest thing to do. 😐
