I don’t know whether to file as a sole proprietor or a nonprofit or which one is best for what I’m going to be doing? Going to file for the EIM number today or tomorrow I have thought about using Taylor brand but then I decided not to and then I’m thinking I may use one of the other parties. I don’t want to end up in the future. I’m curious we ever changed the registered agent if say for instance Taylor Brand is our registered agent. How do we ever get out of there, if that makes sense! That's because there isn't a legal separation between the owner and the business and that leaves the owner's assets exposed to the business's potential lawsuits and/or creditors. Nonprofits bring complexity but also the potential benefit of tax exemption. To keep things simple, while also protecting themselves, most small business owner's choose to start an LLC. As for Taylor Brands, we like Northwest. We have partnerships with all of the major LLC formation companies and Northwest is a standout in customer service and value. When a free registered agent trial is ending, business owners are given the option to cancel.
