This is very useful content. Rabbit behavior is difficult to pinpoint. This helps. Did your bunnies become friends again? I remember they had a feud sometime ago.
My new adopted rabbit is a lump on a log. She just sits and does nothing. She’s not interested in toys or is she interested in being petted. I’m in the process of bonding her with my male rabbit Loki. So far all she does is thump at Loki and then he mimics her thumping.
I couldn't find a video on this from you but what is your suggestion if my rabbit won't drink water? I've tried so many things and I have several diff places and types of water bottles and bowls and he doesn't drink. Would a salt rock help?
My bunnies favorite form of entertainment is their dig box! I just cut a single flap off a big cardboard box, fill it up with strips and bits of newspaper, then sprinkle fun foraging mixes and other fun treats in there every night!
I would love advice on toys and activities for a special needs bunny. He was born with a splayed leg in the back and turned in feet in the front. He also has a crooked spine and his tail is not in the right place. The owner was going to kill him and throw him away so I rescued him. He is really active and looks like a happy bunny. He can almost do everything that other rabbits do. He can jump, just not as high. And he loves to follow me around like a puppy. All living things have the right to live up until the time they stop feeling like living. The vet said that he isn't having any pain or suffering right now.
Thank you so much for your compassion & kindness in giving your special needs bunny a loving home🙏 I volunteer at a rabbit shelter and it seems to me that bunnies with disabilities have extra love to give😍
I have 100+ rabbits 🐇, in hutches, outside. Often, when it's breeding time, I'll bring the doe in for the winter. 9 phone cables, holes in the carpet, and walls, on an on.
How about chasing them. My rabbit when she gets kinda fiesty I chase her. She seems to like it. Especially if I go to pet her and she lunges playfully ill sometimes but not always chase her for a little bit. And reassure her with petting that I still like her. So that I don't make her fear me. I've heard don't do this but she initiates it sometimes. In factbi got a little RC car to do it with since she so fast and gets into places I can't go. I don't ram her, just chase her for a couple minutes and I feel she enjoys it. Just playful exercise since bunnies chase each other in the wild. 🤷 She 24 hr free roam as well. I first started doing this with a cottontail I found hit by a car on the road when it was a baby. I would put up an enclosure outside after work with some fencing and let him out in it. Then while trying to catch him to bring him back in and to tear down the fence (association neighborhood) I'd chase and then run away and he'd sometimes chase me. So I figure it wasn't scaring him. And that's when I got thiscrabbitvafterbidvhad her a bit ivtried it the same way. But she doesn't chase so maybe it's a male thing🤷 I'm saying it's okay but don't over do it. Just chase for a couplevseconds because they will basically outrun you and rest and groom while you're catching up. So it's chase and stop chase and stop not a constant. Just like wild rabbits.
I got my first bunny when I was only 4 and as you’d might aspect i made a lot of mistakes. Now im 28 and i still have bunnies, I learned a lot and always try to improve but I think i got to a point where my bunnies can live long and happy lives. ❤ Thank u for the great videos
No, there is a compound in iceberg lettuce that can make rabbits very sick! You can find lists of rabbit-safe vegetables online but romaine, green & red
No absolutely not. They do not digest the iceberg lettuce. Romaine, green curly leaf lettuce or a box of mixed greens and take out the spinach as it’s too high in calcium and can cause kidney disease.
@@katelynnholland8295 lettuce is quite high in water content and could be the cause. I imagine she might be much better with green or savoy cabbage instead
@@katelynnholland8295 how old is she?? If she is over 1 year old she cannot have any alfalfa hay, that alone could be the cause of excess cecos and messy butt.
