i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Axl Gustavo i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
this is what i have. installed three in my life - 2 gas one electric so I have some experience. this one is gas. I replaced this one with my own hands due to Sandy in 2012. Basement in NJ. all is copper. sharkbite cold. sweated hot out. sharkbites cold are in great shape. for the hot out, I have the niple, the copper threaded adapter, 4 inches of 3/4 pipe straight up and a 90. the seams of the 90 are leaking. green and corroded. after the 90, i have 1 foot of 3/4 and another 90. again 90 green corrosion and leaking. must be due to moisture in basement and 12 years lol. I want to hacksaw the pipe before the first 90. I want to sandpaper the 4 inch piece due to deposits and then sharkbite 90. after want to use use copper pipe and sharkbite 90 if i need to use a small sharkbite connector after the second 90 so be it. how do i deal with the hot water? good shut off on the cold water side. good ball valve. can shut building off if need to. I am comfortable with the the repair but not with the hot water. How do i repair an active gas hot water heater? thank you.

I just discovered 2 leaks...#1 leak is around the temp valve...#2 water is springing out midway from a hole or something ....this is crazy...smh....its always very dry over there on that side of the furnace....I look over there every night ....its like someone flipped a switch within the last 24 hrs just because I've had some relief for the past few days after receiving my first unemployment payment a few days ago, after 12 weeks of no income.......my son covered many of my bills, borrowing money from family .....(imagine that).......I've paid quite a few outstanding bills......with more to go and now this......suddenly there are 2 leaks and laundry room floor is wet..... ..I have a Lavinar Hot water tank.....it's probably old.....but the temperature valve thing is at the top on the side and it has a plastic type pipe leading down to the floor and it stops a few inches away....there is no connection to the outside.....should it be like that??.....this is unreal......and not to mention unemployment only paid 8 of my 12 weeks....why?... I do not know......and they did not back date my unemployment to my last date of work as I requested in June....so they really owe me 5 weeks, all of August and the one week back-dated payment........of which I truly need now.......all this on top of pre-existing plumbing problems that I have to finally call the plumber for tomorrow....and a contractor about the 5 inch hole in the kitchen ceiling from the leaking roof.....and now the Heating & Cooling company also........(Life).........smh......not a moments peace
3:20 lol. Costly mistake. Holy shit that thing becomes a rocket if you cap that off and the tank malfunctions. Myth busters did it. Go right through the roof of a two story house.
Thank you so much for taking the time to film and edit this video, I ended up replacing the fitting supplying the hot water heater first and that solved my problem. The floor was wet and the side of the water heater was dry, but it was running through the body of the heater from the top and leaking out the door. 30 dollar fix instead of 600!
Wish repairmen would try to fix it instead of just replacing it. Maybe it's easier for the heater to be replaced instead of taking the time to troubleshoot, and take it apart to replace a part. Not all men know how to troubleshoot or where to begin. These videos are helpful for sure.
Hey Brother, the return line (not cold line) has heavy sediment but it's bone dry, there is water on the base of the shelf the heater sits on (no tray) so the leak must be coming from the bottom of the tank. It's clearly a small leak as the puddle is very small. Can you hire a plumber to weld a small leak? I know replacement would be best but storms here just took down our fence, both expenses in a month would be tough for us. Thanks much
Not possible to weld a leak in the hot water tank. There’s an inner and an outer tank which would mean it’s a crack on the inner tank causing the leak. Would basically need to disassemble the tank to find the exact spot that’s cracked and even then I don’t know if it would be possible. You’re gonna have to replace the tank
My water heater pan was full of water but can’t see where it’s leaking from. The water heater is only 2 years old. Don’t want to replace it. How do I know if it’s something that can be fix. Thank you!
Me too but mine is 12 years old. The water in the pan is cold and I don't see or feel any leaks. I'm assuming that the pipe inside the water heater ( cold side inlet) is leaking and water is running down under the cover and comes out in the pan.
Mine has pvc pipes. The hot water pipe burst. 19 degrees here. I called the plumber. No help. One week no hot water. I need help. Can I change the pipe ? Can I use flex tape ?
I really liked the last tip to see if gauge drops with the valve closed which would mean the hot water would be leaking out from the water heater....👍 I live in Miami and there is no reason to have very hot hot water, so for many years I keep my electric water heater set to warm....thats is fine for a shower doen here....my water heater has lasted since 2003 and no issues yet, was the warm setting I put can that explain why its lasted so long I also live alone....just wondering...the reason I am watching these videos now as I am sure soon I might have to replace it....
So if I have cold water sitting in my pan and I found no leaks,Im assuming there must be a leak just inside the cover, on the cold water side. Is there any way to replace that section inside the unit, or is it time to replace the heater itself. It is 12 years old but still working great and looks just as new as the day I installed it. It's a GE 50 gal tank.
Thank you. My brand new tank was leaking from the bottom joint of the actual tank. But there is no pressure relief valve tube. Its capped off. So i suspect thats why its leaking out the crack joint at the bottom. I hope thats it
Thx for helping people like me, I have a question I just drained my gas water heater and I also opened prv valve then filled with no signs of leak but an hour later I saw a leak outside on the overflow then checked prv but saw no water, my question is what did I do wrong?
Hi guys. Hoping I can get some help. My water heater tank is working for the most part. It pushes out very hot water. But after about 10-15 minutes consistent flow, the water goes cold. Is this normal? I have almost no knowledge of how these things work. Hope someone can guide me. Thank you in advance.
What to do if you have water built up in the little pan on the top of water heater and water in pan under water heater and water heater isn’t heating? Help!
@@TwinHomeExpertsI showed my sister Denise the video, she said "is that David? Smart marketing by using the Twin theme". So my pressure relief valve needs replaced but my cold Inlet valve wont budge....should I get a new water tank and valves?
Ok what if the tank it self is linking? My is linking slowing from the middle of the tank it self. Theres is panel and a sticker on there showing that your hands can get burned that panel itself is where it's leaking from
When you shut off the electricity it's not heating the water in the laws of physics the higher the temperature the higher the pressure but that shouldn't be happening so check your water heater also my father was in WWII I seen your interested in it he was on Guadalcanal I put his name up on the WWII Memorial
Please if you see this respond asap My water is always low. I use cold water for everything. Showers and everything Family is staying at house. They want hot water (like normal folk) So I cranked it from literally like a level 2 to 10 That was yesterday Today it’s leaking at top and bottom slightly Is this due to pressure buildup? It never leaked in YEARS ever I haven’t turned temperature level it up in prob 4,5 years
I have had a slow dribble coming from my discharge pipe for a little while now. I have had both the thermal expansion tank and the pressure reducing valve changed (both had gone bad) and I am still getting the slow dribble from the discharge pipe. It lets some out about every hour or so, and that is whether I have use any hot water or not. Short of getting a new pressure release valve, I don't know what else to do to remedy that
I had a similar problem, and it had to do with the city changing some of the waterline so the pressure was much higher, and I ended up having to install a pressure regulator valve near the water main where it came into the house. ... I don't know if you were Urban or rural but if you live with a Municipal Water Supply you can ask the water company to come out and test the pressure. They will tell you the pressure that's going from the meter into your house. And then you can buy like a 10 or $20 pressure testing valve yourself to keep for your end of the line, if in fact, you either need a pressure regulator, or perhaps need to replace yours if you already have one. They don't last forever.
So I see a line where water is leaking out from a panel I open up it has insulation in it and wires directly under is a valve but when I open the panel all the white insulation is wet I'm assuming that is not good
I feel like this is what Eobard Thawne would've been like had he actually tried to do some good for the world instead of spending his life figuring out ways to kill the Flash. Also very informative video, thank you so much 💖
Great video, but have a question. I have a brand new AO smith water heater and has water underneath and the pilot has been shutting off. I have noticed the fittings on the cold side only have been wet, will this cause the pilot to keep switching off?
My pilot went out. I re-lit it. Tank was cold, sat for a day and its winter. I turned the temp up too high, but i went out today and water was all over my garage floor and in the heater room floor, also all over the walls in the heater room. Nothing is leaking now, everything is working. The water is drying up on the floor. Im confused.
My water heater has a rusted hole at the very top edge of outer skin right below the top cap. Dripping water out but not too much. What happened here. Only a few years old
Yes, shut the valve off above the water heater. Then only use cold water, just make sure you don’t use single control faucets, because the cold water will cross over into the hot side causing a continuous leak at the heater.
I've heard the gas ones are but not the electric ones. Idk. We had one at a place I worked and never had any problems with it and always had hot water.
Can I re-weld the joint around the electric water heater element coupling?? The water heater is only about 4 years old, but started leaking at the factory welding joint just outside the bottom element threads. Thank you in advance!! God Bless. Sincerely, John
Two people sent this to me to try and tell me how to turn off your water. Apparently neither one watched this video as it’s just about checking the pressure
They should of sent you this 14 Minutes of the most INTENSE ratting you will EVER see... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mQNBz6qVd8U.html
You did not just hook up a pressure tester to the likely calcium deposit filled bottom of a water heater...DO NOT EVER DO THIS!!! The calcium deposits in the bottom of the tank will ruin the pressure tester.
There is a pipe that comes out of my water heater and the pipe is connected to the cold water intake hose. There is a leak between the pipe and the water heater tank. What can I do? (The water hose that supplies the heater with cold water is fine.) Seems a serious problem? Anyone can help? Thanks!
If its coming from the hose, replace the hose. If it's from the valve, where you screw the hose/pipe in, then replace the valve. You'll have to have a pipe wrench to unscrew it and take it to store to get a new one also buy thread tape to put on the threads before installing the new one. Make sure your tank is drained and turned off, no power going to it before working on it.
ooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkk First graders that are going to fix Mom and Dads water heaters, if you can't see where it is leaking then the water heater must be leaking. Now go call a plumber.
I have a Bradford White Water Heater and I had to reset the pilot. After the reset and the water heater lit up, I went back to check again to see why the water is still not getting hot and I noticed a little stream of water leaking out. The Status light is blinking 5 times with 3-second pause. What do I need to do now?
You said to check the top two tubes to see if they’re wet, and then told us to replace them! How are we to do that WHILE THEY’RE LEAKING?! And then we have to connect the back end?! You may know plumbing but you sure don’t know how to teach it without skipping steps.
