Is your work in music a hobby or a business?  

I can't even front, it took me a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time to identify the hobbyists and career artists. At first, they all seem the same; eager to work, make music, excited about the possibilities, etc. But after a few months of seeing and experiencing the REAL WORK in the music industry and discussing the BUSINESS aspect of it that many don't post about publicly, they fall off.
And that's fine. Making music as a hobby is fine. It's just not fine for those like us who are trying to build careers in the industry.
