Lagbacks also make it so that players don't intentionally do it all the time, because going on a "ghost" block makes the server think you are... cheating. Since you're telling the server that you're on the ground when you're actually not. (Fly hacks, No-Fall-Damage, Spider, etc)
no hate to yt rank useres but i know that twitch clip intel refferd to its a bedwars clip on skyrise he was at the bottom of the map he block clutched but it was build height and he abused yt rank no lagback to scale the wall at that time i was mad that ytbers abused it but i also thought that 30k yt rank is hard to get
1 thing. Lagback and "glitching" is actually a lot more significant than you make it out to be. It comes up a lot in fights, almost every UHC duel I do has an instance were either my opponent or me lags back and I'd say roughly a third of the games were it happens it makes a significant difference. Lagbacks and glitching happen way more often to high ping players as well, which is likely why you and cheetahh don't notice it as much. Ask anyone who has 200+ms and they'll tell you how annoying it can be.

Bull Every time I join an OP/ classic I always get lag backed hundreds of times sometimes lose cos of stuck in a block and I have 100+ long sadly normally 20 but hypixel is aids

Dude you literally have the same stance as thirtyvirus, its not a QOL thing or a benefit given for publicity from RU-vidrs like thirtyvirus says, it's a straight-up advantage, I don't think anyone cares if it's big or small its an advantage in a multiplayer gamemode which affects all the other players, even if it saves you 1/1000 of the time it can still happen and it IS unfair
It's so annoying playing as a normal player without youtube rank on high ping, u see, I'm from India and I get 300-400 ms normally, and the lagbacks are just so annoying I can't even explain it
Hey! One thing i think you overlooked is how youtube rank eliminates drop lag, which is a significant advantage in games like bridge and bedwars. No drop lag means when a player is jumping onto you it is significantly easier to hit them away.

really proud of hypixel recently. fixed hitreg issues (besides ping ofc) and lagbacks and so many other annoyances. i can finally clikc 17 cps in pvp lmal
That's a common myth but not true. I've heard and done some testing myself that you get banned if you click 20+ cps only if your clicks are evenly spaced, like if they were every 50 milliseconds, because that would indicate an autoclicker
saw this closet cheater in a bw game. had toggle-able lagbacks (not sure what it's called), minor reach, and velocity. hypixel may fix watchdog for normal players, but not for cheaters
Currently if you remove lagbacks from ghost blocks, or "You can't place blocks here" will completely makes you a ground spoof fly work in hypixel, thats why before 2020 hypixel have alot of fly hackers.
No lag backs is too overpowered, you can just make players stuck inside a block, vibrating their character and disallowing them to move, and wall climb on most map, even if normal players get less lag backs, still, the lag backs that can be done by placing a block to where the enemy will land when they jump, is still too overpowered

I don't care much about the cps cap cuz I don't really get above 15 cps but my biggest hate against hypixel is the lagback and awful hit reg. There are moments in duels when I'm just running away from the other player and then the server just lags me back into his face and then I get comboed in the face. Other times when I'm comboing someone the server just stop registering my hits(even though I normal click) and then my opponent just takes advantage and turns the tables because of the hit not registering. Last thing is the delayed knockback. It's one of the factors I hate the most because it makes it insanely difficult to maintain the spacing between you and your opponent when I'm block hitting. And it's not my ping or anything, I have 240+ ping on every north American server and servers like lunar and pvpland the hit reg and knockback felt soo buttery smooth when I switched after playing hypixel
100% an advantage, lagbacks in duels rn are so aweful, about 2-3s in and ur movement just gets scuffed, sumo is actually impossible and I've straight missed my speed and regen in OP cus it just flicks ur aim
