With Spurs having their future in Wemby and Vassell, imo I’d rather have him over Topic. This is exactly what the Spurs need. Currently Wemby or Vassell have to pass out to Tre, Champagnie or Sochan. None of these guys are consistent shooters. Risacher would be a step in the right direction and is a big need in our starting lineup at the SF position.
Think he could be a stretch four. The problem for us as a rockets fan we have so many guys that can play the four in Jabari and Tari. Man there going to be a lot of talk to see what we do with that third pick
He'll be a great 3 and D guy forever. Don't know if he ever gets the on-ball creation chops to be a true star but their aren't many prospects that could be true stars in this draft so I have him at #6 on my board.
@bigrockerjohnson8611 wonder what direction you guys go in. Seems like you guys are gonna try rebuild through the draft. I hope the Blazers do the same but the front office seems to think the team is much better than it is. Hope Blazers get another top 4 pick next draft
@blablablaa14 I totally disagree with you! The Pistons have won 3 NBA Championships! They have won even more pre NBA Championships in their history. I think the Detroit Pistons will be back in playoff contention in a few years!
The shooting numbers look to not tell the whole story. Moves well without the ball. Good catch and shoot. Think he can end up having a higher ceiling than floor.
it's hilarious that all the draft "experts" think this class is weak when it's got arguably the best international class of all-time, great returning players and a solid, if unspectacular, freshmen class.
Because international players are often just good role players at best… You don’t always get a Luka or a Giannis, not to say Jokic.Especially for Europe white, their chances to become a star is way too low.Not to say the competition from Europe differs,it’s really hard to assume if they can make the transfer into NBA. All in all,a small year is a small year,I really do hope it’s wrong since my Spurs got a lot of potential picks, but I’m not too excited about it.
this is a good class but it’s not as top heavy as the past few. there’s going to be a bunch of good players coming out of this draft as late lottery/second round picks.
@@Leo-nc3yx Doncic, Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, Wemby... What you say was true for a long time but since a few years it's not. Anyway it's useless to compare European competition with NBA because american prospects come from college or GIgnite : look how Scoot's transfert in NBA isn't what people said when they thought he would be #1 at the draft. Sure you never know how every drafted guy will success but it's not really easier for american youngsters than for european ones.
@@Ebriel0000000 So 5 players from a large sample size...Also, I'm pretty sure Embiid is not from Europe but from Africa. Giannis barely counts as a Europe as well, both his parents came from Nigeria, and he almost became homeless if not for the success of the NBA, Europe had little to do with his success, but the NBA scouts discovered him and sent him to America. Anyway, 3 of them are black not Europe white, since black men automatically would have a higher ceiling on average, it does make sense. As for Scoot, the reason behind it is Ignite sucks ass, Ignite is no better to college prospects as they had to be through March Madness, crazily high competition. Ignite is like G-League in other words, just for younger players. Just check the ratio, it might not be fair to judge because of the sample size, but there were at least 2~5 native stars compared to European players (4 in a decade) in every class. If I had to bet money I would rather go for American blacks than players from any other country and different race.
I would hate to give up Giddy but, I would trade all 3 of my 1st round picks in this draft and my second round pick and maybe one future along with Giddy to move up in the top 5 to get this young man⚡️
Idk what Giddy’s value is right now. Unfortunately for OKC they probably should have traded him in the offseason when his value was at its highest. With Shai/JW/Chet all progressing and getting better- leaves less opportunities for Giddy and he’s not a great 3pt shooter. I’m interested to see what he can do in a slightly bigger role though. If OKC could land Risacher that team is going to be even more scary. He’s a perfect fit.
I'd like to see him stay where he is for another season and get to the draft in 2025 i think playing on a lower level will help him develope some skills and shape-up his playing style
That’s cool and all but that’s just stupid if your stock is already top 10 you go to the draft why mess around. You’ll get better playing NBA talent anyway
@@trytinn I think it will be beneficial for his career moving forward, i expect him to be limited player if he goes in NBA in 24 draft cause he's gonna have only a few skills and teams will try to use them instead of having him ivolve into better player
Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr will be in top 6 and if Spurs continue to tank, that's because Pop want to draft both as SA has 2 first round picks : Zaccharie's father played in the team now owned by TP in France and TP knows him very well (Stephane Risacher lost by 10 against Team USA in Sidney final) so after presenting Wemby to Spurs, he will do the same with Zacch. Sarr has the perfect profile to be Pop's second "twin tower" with Wemby. If Spurs can have these 3 teenage frenchies, he just need a very good PG and Spurs will be ready for the 12 next years.
@@Leo-nc3yx Collier and Topic may be very good but they won't be "PG genius". Anyway I doubt it's a good idea to take a rookie PG : a vet will be great for 2 or 3 years, then Spurs will find better. Spurs have three 1st round picks in 2024 (Spurs + Toronto + another one) and many possibilities if they are... bad this year.
@@Zaghzackio Lol. Spurs big 3 was an overseas force, Diaw, Mainhimi and several other SAS players were french and now TP is a really good scout for the franchise since he owns a good french team (i mean : good for our league, not NBA). France is a rising international BB team since Sidney and we have more and more interesting young players so why not ? It would be good for Spurs and it would be good for France. We have an Olympic Tournament soon in Paris and our hope is to meet Team USA again... in final. 😜
@@Leo-nc3yxA veteran PG at this point would be so much better for this team's development than a rookie point. Like how CP3 was to OKC. They have enough cap for a 1 or 2 year deal for a Conley/Lowry/Schroeder level vet
I'd say it's a weak class in terms of star power just seein the top guys I see decent role players some great role players a few starts/perennial all stars but no superstar or franchise guys and like it or not that is what a draft class will be judged by how many superstar level guys it can produce
