LTTP and Link's Awakening are the same hero. Link Between Worlds is a new link a hundred years after LTTP. This appears to be a sequel to Link's Awakening HD
It would be so awesome if The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds and The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom (A Link Missing :D) are the Part of a Trilogy! 😮
it just takes away from the original LTTP tho... the master sword sleeps forever!! OK nintendo. the most epic and OP version of link. respect him the hero of legend. 😟😁
Lorule is an alternate reality of Hyrule. Much like Termina. The Dark World was Ganon corrupting the Sacred World creating a corrupted “wish” version of Hyrule.
Link to the Past, Oracles and Awakening are all the same Link and Zelda. Awakening is an underrated masterpiece, I still have my original Game Boy cartridge. Oracles has a really sweet ending.
The dark world in link to the past is actually the golden land, or sacred realm. It is the resting place and home of the Triforce. It's not another Hyrule. Ganondorf transforms it into a twisted version of Hyrule with his evil heart.
Or do you think it might be like oracles where now we have zelda's wisdom, next we get link's courage as in his pov of the same ordeal. Then the best ending is achieved only at the end of both games where link and zelda meet to confront ganon together
something I hope for is that it has the link to the past map at the center of an even larger map. Because we've already explored the world twice now I think itd be cool if we could go beyond the borders of that world since this game seems like its gonna be more open world
It almost assuredly is just a small portion of the map consideringly only one gameplay clip from the trailer features an area that's easily identifiable as a place from ALttP. Additionally, there's basically no civilization to be seen in that opening cutscene either outside of the Castle Town. This is almost certainly a prequel due to that, but also you'll have to travel much farther to reach other towns than you did in ALttP.
If you consider the Oracles games a single game across 2 carts, a la Resident Evil, then it was a trilogy until A Link between worlds was released! Otherwise, you can't have a trilogy, here, because the ALttP series went directly from 2 games, ALttP and LA to 4. That said, I 100% feel that, recombined timelines aside, this is ABSOLUTELY ALttP Link!
I do wonder if they are going to make this relatively open world like they did with link between worlds. You can explore the world at your leisure and do things on your own relatively. That's what the opening scene kind of signifies for me. That they're planning on allowing you just to kind of go wherever and do whatever.
While many have already pointed out Link's Awakening as being the same Link from ALttP, therefore already a trilogy... I raise you Tri Force heroes, the direct follow up to ALBW.
“You could say it’s part of a trilogy, yeah” ~Me, who is convinced this game is Zelda’s Adventure but upmade into an actual decent game instead of the unplayable slop we got on the CDi
You are clearly the densest Zelda fan. ALttP has the OoX games and LA as sequels not ALBW. ALBW is at least a hundred years after ALttP, has a different Link and has its own sequel in TFH. Fake fan.
It’s not really a trilogy per-se due to other games present in the downfall timeline (Link’s Awakening, the Oracles, LoZ and AoL). However, the placement of Echoes of Wisdom after A Link Between Worlds makes the most sense. It is a trilogy in another sense if you count the revival of the downfall timeline, as it was largely ignored for decades until A Link Between Worlds. That game technically inspired the Link’s Awakening Remake and Echoes of Wisdom (the modern downfall installment trilogy). For me, the most fascinating bit of lore that I’ve seen in the trailer is the existence of the Great Deku Tree in the downfall timeline, as all games in this branch do not even acknowledge the Tree. As this is the first time it’s referenced in the downfall trilogy, it actually puts the placement of Echoes after ALBW in a bit of a pickle. However, they can use multiverse shenanigans to explain that away with those “rifts” screwing up the timeline. This is going to be fun to see what they come up with. Hopefully, it makes a bit of sense for us timeline theorists out there who are still holding on to continuity.
THEORY!! Is this game what's happening in Hyrule while link is having adventures in Link's Awakening? The purple void that Link got sucked into is actually some kind of dream world. Then both would take place at the same time directly after LttP.
Nope... Hear me out... Echoes of Wisdom : Zelda, focus on puzzle solving and use of the environment... Echoes of Courage: Link, focus on combat and more traditional... Echoes of Power: Ganon, more war sim, resource management... Just saying...
I was just thinking about it. Even if it isn’t officially, it’s going to be in my head canon from now on. I mean, they all inhabit the same world. It’s very neat
So far, I was thinking this could be part ONE of that trilogy. Picture an OoT-like rise of Ganon leading to that trailer cutscene, and Ganon never makes it back from the Dark Realm. The sages help to keep Ganon sealed while Zelda rescues Link.
I feel the parallels too... Link Between Worlds is the most recent Zelda entry I completed. I think Echoes of Wisdom, or as I prefer to call it, Zelda 21, is going to be a great adventure. And yes, my second nickname for this game is "Wand of Gamelon 2."
I've played both Link to the Past and Link Between Worlds, they were very challenging games and I can expect Echoes of Wisdom to be more challenging than ever I also played the remake of Link's Awakening as well, also challenging as well If this goes well, hopefully they can remake the Oracle games for the next Nintendo console
The original nes zelda had a direct sequel call the adventure of link everyone should know that. Link awaking is a sequel to link to the past everyone should know that too. Do you kids play zelda games outside the 3D games? You know nothing.
Also Lorule's princess is named Hilda, countering Hyrule's Zelda. Dang, all that's missing are Sabrina the Teenage Witch and a wisecracking cat named Salem Saberhagen.
So correction in ALTTP the “dark world” is actually the sacred realm/golden land where the goddess stored the triforce it turned to the dark land after Gannon corrupted it with his evil wish. Lorule is not the same place. And links awakening and I believe the oracle games are also part of the lttp time line.
Nope, this is clay link from links awakening. I presume its the adventure quartet saga. Echoes of Wisdom -> Oracle Duology -> Links awakening. This is solid because in the oracles you connect the games with a password for a final battle against a freshly revived ganon after twinrova. HERE He still hasn't been defeated. If they used this engine this means its awakening link.
@@Salvatore98B No, Link's Awakening comes before Oracles. Sounds like you got your information from Hyrule Historia, which is outdated. In 2018, Nintendo officially put Link's Awakening before Oracles.
Oh dear lord! Not this again! There is no secret trilogy for anything! Just STOP! Also, this game isn't even canon to the other games as Zelda in this game isn't at all like canon Zelda. Canon Zelda, by lore accuracy, uses a bow and a rapier, which this Zelda doesn't have. And even if this game were to later turn to be lore accurate enough to be canon, it should be after FSA, not ALBW for these reasons: 1) Gerudo exist 2) There are two separate mountains like in FSA, where as in ALttP/ALBW, there was only one. 3) DT already has a known destruction of Hyrule event. It doesn't really need another. 4) DT already so many games within it. It doesn't need any more. 5) The CT doesn't have a destruction of Hyrule event yet. This would be a good opportunity. Especially if this were canon. Which I don't think it is by lore accuracy means. Hopefully, Nintendo shows that there are more items for Zelda to use and at least one of them can be used for actual direct combat. Otherwise, this Zelda isn't lore accurate enough to be canon.
@@DrMonkey1224 It's her actual first game. So, YES, SHE DOES! Her using a bow has been a trademark in canon Zelda since WW. And that trademark has be teased of potentially being a thing in OoT when she literally gives LInk HER Light Arrows. And TP furthers that trademark. It'd be incredibly dumb and criminal to not acknowledge the one trademark that Nintendo has worked so hard to build upon. Maybe she doesn't need it for later games where she's playable again. But for this one, she does, because it's her first game. And the last time we saw her use her bow was Twilight Princess. That's EIGHTEEN YEARS ago! It's time they remind us of that trademark and that it's still relevant to lore.
@@DrMonkey1224 To the lore and fans like me, yes. Such a trademark thing is important to be represented in newer games. Otherwise, when newer fans play the older games, they wonder why such trademark thing isn't a thing anymore. And if they enjoyed the game, they'd probably just end up wanting more of that anyways. Which is why changing or removing something that's been established for years in multiple titles is kind of dumb idea as that sort of thing can often cause confusion and division within the fan base. All the more reason why I've always felt that Aonuma has going way too far with this "rethinking conventions" thing he started back over a decade ago.
