Masterpiece of classy grooves and sensual rythms...Mr Hayes was one of a kind. Rich and sublime. What a time to live. The sound crystal clear clean sharp. This is outstanding.
Damn hot! Again I stand agog and agape that this isn't more of a disco icon [i.e.: one that always makes a TOP TEN list {the same can be said for Don Ray's 'Got to Have Loving' and Dan Hartman's 'Vertigo'}. Here Mr. Hayes is throwing down the gauntlet to 'Love to Love You', 'Love Hangover' and, yes, even to brother in arms, Barry White...and raking in all the chips. As dance tunes goes this is a 'grinder' and perhaps that accounts for its 'also ran' status: it's too demanding, too contingent upon commitment...you HAVE to be up close to your partner, grinding into them, hip to hip, etc. It does not allow the safety of distance, which is not a weakness on the song's part but a strength...the weakness is that of the dancers who can't quite give over...
We'll take a voyage to the Isle of sensuality. We might get shipwrecked...but that's alright with me. Adrift in a sea of of love on a wave of desire. We won't send an SOS--we won't even send a wire. We'll be caught up in a whirlpool of ecstasy Spinning on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.
