The coolest man to ever do it! Issac was a musical legend, this video really shows its smoothness. The lines and luxury of that Suicide door Lincoln are magnificent too.I love everything about it-the movie, video, soundtrack etc.R.I.P. Mr Hayes!
@@Chagaanvideos40 yes he did that overdose scene sticks in my mind his eyes were my focal point of the scene sitting there with that needle in his arm.
This may the best thing he did with production. He rereleased on one of the Top best soundtracks of all time and shot a video with Larenz Tate and Chris Tucker ❗️👑👑👑
YOU HAVE MY CONDOLENCES TRULY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS R.I.P TO YOUR FRIEND I LOSS A FRIEND WHEN I WAS 14YRS. OLD I STILL CRY TO THIS DAY FOR HIM THE PAIN DOESN'T GO AWAY
I watched it 2-27-2022. Great caution tale that tell young men and women the danger of trying to getting money the easy way. It causes alot of death and pain.
A great song to a great movie.Always makes me remember the ending to "Dead Presidents".Issac Hayes was great,"The Duke of New York" and will always be A number 1 and be missed.
Isaac Hayes. Dead Presidents. Walk on By. 'Nuff said. The Lincoln is one of the stars in this video. Thanks for the upload. RIP, Black Moses. Blessings
this song and video is so moving...i remember being so drawn to this movie and the video...this is really taking me back..this is one of the greatest african american films in my book....from a context of a film existing as a cinematic experience and a reflection of life....without the spoon fed elements of modern hollywood films
I just learned that he was inspired to write this music while watching a 1968 Italian "Spaghetti" Western. To quote the narrator from the documentary "Is that Black Enough for You", "Isaac Hayes was so inspired by Sergio Leone’s film Once Upon a Time In the West - the perversion of Henry Ford’s character, regarded as a stalwart of White decency, and Woody Strode’s performance - that he went on to create this piece". Who knew?
This song was written by the songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David, and was originally recorded by Dionne Warwick in the '60s. This is Hayes doing a cover version of that song. But, he did put his own unique style on it. I like both versions. And "Once Upon A Time In The West" is one of my favorite movies, too.

I SAW THIS VIDEO RIGHT THE MOVIE DEAD PRESIDENTS STARTED LOVE THIS MOVIE STILL SAY ANTHONY ENDED UP WITH THE WRONG SISTER R.I.P.MR.ISAAC HAYES GOD BLESS LOVE YOUR MUSIC STILL TO THIS DAY LOVE ALWAYS GOD BLESS AMEN
The way the movie was made, such a classic. If they could've back then i think The Hughes Brothers would've definitely made the film back in that time period cuz it really showed through the film, It had that classic sensability to it. The soundtrack is amazing.
I love, love, love this version of this song, sung by Isaac Hayes! Only he can get away with this sultry, sexy, strong version! Walk ON!!! Great movie I might add
Absolutely the greatest, most soulfully sweet version ever of this wonderful love classic. An eternal and everlasting gem of a song.Five well deserved stars.👍🌎🎤🎧😍🌹🎸🎹🎺🎷🎻💝📀🍹🎼🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I hear ya. I was a child of immigrants, growing up in the '60s. We lived in the Western Addition, aka "the Filmore District " in San Francisco, considered the "Harlem of the West" at one time. All I knew about pop music, then, was the Beatles, until my Black classmates "hipped" me to Soul music. To this day, old-school Soul music from the 60s and 70s is my "go to" music whenever I want to hear some tunes that will lift my spirit.
In all honesty, this movie should’ve been nominated for so many Academy Awards, because it told a very powerful story, portrayed by some awesome actors. Even the soundtrack should’ve been acknowledged. This movie was ahead of its time back in 1995. I saw it in the theaters then, and it still is a powerful piece of cinema to this day
This video from Isaacs Hayes is Really the truth Zacharia 2:8 Its all in our hands by the grace of Yashua and his Heavely Father Yaweh oftewel Yehovah Psalm 83:18🎉🎉🎉😢
Walk on by..... Whose listening to this classic in 2020? From Kobe & Gigi, COVID, National Shutdowns, losing loved ones, jobloss, financial hardship, Chadwick Boseman, Racism at it's highest, Police Brutality, Racial Discrimination, Injustice, etc... *With all this heartbreak, yet still we walk.
🎶 There's no dust in my eye Smoke ain't makin' me cry, no, no, no It's the hurt you put on me, yeah I don't want you to see this man cry So pleeease walk on by 🎶
+R.A.D.+H.E.R. and it's to The Hudges Brothers credit that they heard the relevancy in this powerful song "Walk On By" by Issac Hayes and knew to make it a center piece of a film dealing with Black American pain and struggles during the late 1960's and early 1970's #Masterpiece
August 20th: Happy birthday Soul-Funk-Disco Singer-songwriter-Composer-Arranger-Musician Isaac Lee Hayes Jr. / "Black Moses" (1942-2008) Academy Award: Best Original Song ("Shaft"), multiple-Grammy Award winner, Golden Globe, Rhythm & Blues Foundation Pioneer Award; one of the most prolific singer-songwriters of this (and perhaps) any generation. Isaac Hayes passed away on August 10,2008, one day after Comedian Bernie Mac, his co-star in "Soul Men,' it was the last film for both. thank you for sharing your gifts.
