This song reminds me of a girl i fell in love with. We never dated properly but we hanged out like we were for months. When she decided to give it a closure and stay just as friends, i couldn't handle it because i was madly in love at that point. So i took distance and left but i promised i will be there for the important things. A month later i reached out with an e-mail, to tell her I got a new job.. but she was hurt and angry about me leaving and breaking out friendship. Later I found out in an IG story she got her thesis approved and had her graduation ceremony, so i send her a message with congratulations, but i was left on read. So, that was it. I stop following her and decided to just left and let it go silently. It's been two months from that and it still hurts a lot. I hope she's doing well, i'm sorry that i couldn't handle it and sometimes wish i would stay longer.

Sounds to me like she did you wrong creating a relationship but not calling it a such. Either she is immature or she doesn't know what she wants. Either way it's not a loss. You are holding on to the story you created for both of you in your head. I get it. We all have. But she made her choice and didn't even acknowledge her end of the deal and on top of that she got mad at you for creating space? Shes tripping. Don't let her play with you like that. I'm a stranger and I'm unbiased. Hope it helped. Stay strong something better is around the corner.

I'm sorry ;( I also lost contact with someone. It was my fault as I just wanted to meet and made a condition that if he doesn't want to meet then I don't want to write... and just like that, after years of "friendship" (?), couple of meetings, he blocked me, and said he would live without me, no problem... I would like to hug you, man, I'm so sorry you were hurt. Bet you didn't deserve it, you just wanted to be loved, and you should for having good intentions 🥺

Thank you all for your support. A couple weeks after that comment she blocked me and told me that she never wanted to be part of my life. It was totally unexpected, i woke up and the message was just there. This was not the closure i expected and it broke my heart, but finally after months of therapy, emotional support from family and friends, and self improvement, I'm finally starting to get over it. I still think every now and then it was my fault, but I try to remain kind with myself and my loved ones. I just hope this doesn't change me and i know someday i will find the peace with her leaving, cause at least i tried.

Weird isn’t it how the hole they left will never close again. Some people try to fill it up again with other people and other things. But those who have known real love, the type that their soul touched your soul. The type of love that you love them so much and you will never connect with anyone the way you did with them . Until , it hurts more holding on so you finally realize you have to let them go and you will have that hole to remind you that it was just pure love for that person.

❤ I love this song. I've been playing it over and over since yesterday. I feel all the lyrics... what a weird feeling though... knowing you have to move on but somehow you feel stuck because the person you thought would stay forever is gone and you have to accept it, no matter how much it hurts.

I honestly feel this song so much. I had a friend who I loved so dearly, but one day he just left. Now he’s in a relationship and he barely talks to my other friends or I, but sometimes we get to talk and catch up. I know he’s moved on from whatever we were, and learning that he had a relationship now has given me a weird sense of closure. I’ve moved on, I’ve let it be that we were never meant to be- but I still miss him. I still think of him sometimes. I have poems and drawings dedicated to him just left there now, and I don’t have anyone else. I don’t have anyone to love. But that’s okay, at least in the end we’re still friends.

It's OK dearest. I married my childhood love. In 2000. We got married. An have 2 beautiful daughters. In September 2024, my wife went to heaven. I still have her pillow next to me in bed. I spray it sometimes with her perfume. I sometimes here my daughters crying. It's difficult very difficult. I wiil meet Rachel again. 🙏🙏🙏
