I personally know alot of artists who play during the year, I'd say following their social media is best way to find out their gigs. But on a personal opinion side of things, I believe that the major issue why a lot of artists don't perform regularly is because the lack of support from our fans in the industry. A lot of fans want free and not willing to even pay a $5 cover to see a local band. Nor do the promoters want to pay artists a fair rate. No incentive to play. Our industry has been tainted a long time ago, and it's been a hard long road trying to restore it with true music artists, fans and supporters.

@@texsoundmusic--tejadisc I know a lot who only play Fanfair, and some are artists, most are entertainers, who sing covers, an artist writes composes and produces their own sound and message, on artist, we will agree to disagree, but they are performers, I will give em that or some of them that.

What did we need to agree to disagree on? Seems like your just trying to prove my point about how people in our industry are just there to criticize what others are doing as opposed to actually supporting it. Everyone has an opinion and I appreciate yours, but to discredit some artits or not even call them an artits unless they write and produce their own songs is not fair and that your any less of an artits if you do a cover song. Even the oldest Tejanos have been covering other people's song from way back in the day. Yes i know not everyone that performs at Fan Fair or starts a band or decides to do music is great at what they do. Yes I agree, some don't have a vocal ability, stage presence, or the talent that will make them the next big star. But at least they are trying. A lot of people don't how much goes into making music. There is a huge cost associated to even record, produce, liscence, mix, master, do artwork and distribute even covers. So that being said, You seemed to have missed my point earlier. The so called non artits who only do covers and spend all this money on music are will to do so and perform for fans at Fan Fair for 100% free to help develop their skills, promote their music, help build their confidence and further their career, and finally support a Tejano Industry that most the time don't support them back. An industry unwilling to pay to go see them, or give them a fair shake, instead just criticize them for not being enough. Even the biggest artits started somewhere and yes probably doing covers. So once again this is not intended to be an argument or directed personally at you, this is just something I'm passionate about. I even have a section on my web site where artits cam liscence original songs and record them as their own in an effort to help artits take their career to the next level. Fan fair brings out thousands of fans COLLECTIVELY due to all the artists performing. One artist alone usually won't draw out as many fans...at least not since Selena. It takes ALL Tejano artists put together to draw in the crowd that Selena was able to draw in alone at the Astrodome. #numbersdontlie

Well although you mean not to be rude, it seems to be that is what your are coming across as. But regardless everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I respect yours. I beg to differ tho. Unless you have followed Isabel's career, you would know that she was once under Q Productions and most recently is now independent. If you see what she has been doing in recent times, you would see that she does have her own style. Ver vocal is unique and her attitude and personality is way beyond what you see on a 40 minute video. She is an amazing talent and an even more humble artits. So I truly appreciate your comment, but I invite you to continue to support her which you already have done with this watch and comment, and her see her continue to grow in the industry.

I also love when new generation pay tribute to Selena as Selena fan I’m glad to see she still rocking by new generation still pay tributes to her. But I can also tell when people want to imitate Selena.
