Came back to watch again. This never gets old. B and E, Gordeeva and Grinkov, set the bar very high. There's never going to be anyone to compare. This makes me cry, every time. They made us so proud❤
I remember how Lloyd would throw Isabelle around like she was a little doll. They were magic on the ice. You will understand, then, that when I was hoping RU-vid would have a video of some of their performances, I found this one and was absolutely flabbergasted. You see, when my youngest son married, we chose "Remember Me This Way" as the mother/son wedding dance. Beautiful dancers evoking beautiful memories. I hope they are both happy and doing well.
Since I was a child I loved watching figure skating on my tv station and how I love it still. Watching this performance it's so beautiful, you can see the love they both have as skaters, and the joy they have for the sport.
I feel the same way now in 2018 I look back at all these fantastic skaters, I wish I could see them again on the ice, they are my favorites always. I don't see this level now at all.

Hi Lloyd I don't know if you remember me. I met you years ago, at the simsbury ice rink years ago. I had red hair. I was so intimidated when I met you, but I remember you and Isabella skated over to me and did the headbanger, right after I told you not to drop her., you smiled at me. I asked you for your autograph on a lined piece of paper. You gave it to me. I had it for years. It meant everything to me. I wish I had, had the courage to ask for a hug, I could use one right know
Loved them as pairs skaters although it was rocky at times due to Lloyd's temper but.... I thought he'd mellowed and then I read about his cheating on his pregnant wife and how he'd sent sexually explicit emails to his 15 year old skating student and all respect for the man has flown out the window.
In another life Lloyd would have been a bruising defenseman for the Leafs. Isabelle kept him grounded which made up for the fact that she wasn't as smooth a skater as his previous partner. He was a pretty intense guy, but when it worked, it worked.
