This was our last bike trip of the 2019 summer, and we decided to do a 2-day cruise from our backdoor on the Isadore Canyon trail. The sections of single track, beautiful views, and being able to finish it all off with a great little provincial park and lake to swim in made it our favourite trip of the year.
The Isadore Canyon is a diverse 42 km trail from Cranbrook to Wardner B.C. It was a nice treat for us to have a bit of single track to rip, the kids had a blast, and we made it through double chariot and all (*note not the ideal setup for this trail). We camped our first night at the Wardner Community Park. It has free-range campsites, an awesome kids park, and everything else you'd need for a night. The next day we headed out on a few trails that link the 32 km's alongside Lake Kookanusa to Kikomun Creek Provincial Park. Riding into the general store at the end of the day and finishing the trip off with a swim was about as good as it gets when bikepacking with our crew!
Happy Tails :)
