BRUHHHH when did i say that it disappointed me... I mean look at the reviews of the album, a bunch of sixes and sevens... Personally i would give this album a solid 8.5. Just don't jump straight to decisions, bro;)
+Rougarou R "hope it won't disappoint the rest of us like Blank Face LP" tell me that doesn't sound like you're saying that it disappointed most of us fans? My bad if it didn't but you know. There's no jumping to decisions here.
I remember when this song came out. I got the notification the song drop, a friend was mid sentence I said hold up listen to this I knew it would be a classic. I was 17 now I’m turning 24 this year time flies.
TDE run the rap game, not a team out there currently that is as solid and well put together as this one, This is history in the making people. We'll tell our grandkids about these icons!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
+Muzzballs right I like all them cats I love flatbush zombies, the underachievers, earthgang, denniro farrah just to name a few,but really my life will be complete once that j cole and kendrick album drop
+ethan What specifically draws you to Isaiah? I can't put my finger on why I fuck with all his music. One thing I do know is I absolutely love his beat selection. Chill, Instrument driven are my favorite type of hip hop. Kinda like a Curren$y or Isaiah Rashad type production.
Black Sabbath his flow, his production, and overall his songs are really just chill and soulful, but then he also got some bangers. overall my favorite rapper
Grew up in East chatt, hwy 58 made me cry and miss my mom dukes. Just recently moved 8 hours away. Shits wild. Chattanooga will always be home. And Isaiah rashad will always be my little slice of musical home.
This video is about purchasing a meal ticket. Nowadays people don't really bother to really grind and prove their self worth. Everything is moving so fast and everyone wants thing right away. To do so they kick out money and earn the money with quick cash schemes instead of sharpening their craft, staying focused and working hard. So when they earn their little money they go to Isaiah and he's bottom bitch to rinse their dirty money or invest in whatever Isaiah is selling (because they didn't earn it honestly) and doing so earns them a cut. They're making a killing because even though the people who come to them get to walk away with groceries (to feed their loved one hence "meal ticket" and "free lunch") degrees and platinum records they know the only thing in this world that really matters is the amount of money you've got. Once you're famous and have your time in the sun whats left for you afterwards? Are you gonna stack your bread up and retire happy and comfortable or are you gonna be MC Hammer broke with one hit under your belt? Cash rules and Isaiah knows that but he wont be to blame for peoples deception so his accountant handles that (the girl). Meanwhile he's doing what he needs to do to continue growing as a artist and stay on.Also, the beat is real smooth and slow, laid back like how we should all be. Stop and smell the roses once in awhile and be proud of the work you put in because its healthy for you and allows you to plan your own moves instead of trying to follow everyone else's success. Really genius tbh. This song is about rappers who ride whatever wave is poppin rn, normal people who are trying really hard to better their education to have a decent life and people stuck at the bottom barely able to get by and how some people will not think twice about taking advantage of other's financial situation (the government, record labels etc.). But in the video Isaiah demonstrates a bit of survivor's guilt so he never touches the money.
Isaiah probably has one of the most patient and understanding fans (me included) "I'ma eat on this till the album" . I'm still content with bumping Cilvia Demo for as long as it take for album to be completed properly without rushing it.
@@mysticstylez1449 the second of course I was just saying that you can't be surprised if an artist doesn't get recognition if he puts out music rarely I personally don't care about this stuff cause if the music is good who cares about how many people listens to it There's a difference between popular generic music and good music and not having a lot of people listenting to it it's just one of the things that tells you that Still, isaiah doesn't seem that underrated to me He has pretty good numbers if we have to look at them
bro I'm tired of yo ass go without hip hop, internet for a month if I see u one more time on watts of baby loc grape street crip u getting dp'd .....jk but foreal nigga famous in the comment section
still in 2020, when this came out i was a freshman in college the atmosphere was aloof, i stay focused, but i had a baby on the way. life became more difficult. more lonely.
Don't come here years later asking us who's still banging to this.... This is a classic. Young ones this is what hip hop was, is and will be... KEEP EVOLVING!
Fuck I listened to this song too much and now the magic is gone. This song will never be as good as it was the first time it clicked with me. It opened me up to Zay's music which before also didn't click for me. Can't wait for some new Zay
Isaiah Rashad’s music videos used to be full of soul, and humble and down to earth, Isaiah is still a great guy nowadays but wished he kept that charm on his last album
So hes from TDE, thats why he's so good. I just found out about him and seeing is label comfirm why I liked him. The vibe from the artists TDE sign is just too good
