If you don’t know about the Robert Glasper experiment, look up the album! Lots of legends with a jam band feel. Incredible album. I don’t know if shark is in the mix but they got Badu and some incredible instrumentalists.

Hey mate, I suppose you're talking about the guitar part. This advice doesn't come from a professional but from my personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt. To play like Isaiah you should: 1) Study Jazz and Blues for the melodic stuff and chord voicings 2) Study some funk for the groove 3) Be very familiar with both genres And remember that the more you play with others the more you will get better, grow alongside your band mates and every jam will be better than the previous one, just be sure to find good musicians so they don't ruin the experience. Whatever you do, always remember that it takes time, don't rush the process or you'll not reach your goals. Hope it helps

james dacus true but they’re are also a bunch of other really great overlooked guitarists that just don’t make mainstream audiences. Chris Duarte, Mato Nanji from Indigenous and many others. They just tour and tour and put out songs but are overlooked and underrated.
