Here's my take: We romanticize. We see love on the big silver screens and think that to love somebody, you must always feel in love. But that is not the truth, some days you are angry, hurt, disappointed, lost, afraid, frustrated - because no person is perfect and your partner will fail you, because they are not you, they do not cope like you, they did not grow up like you, might not even show love like you do. But that does not mean it's not worth it, and that there isn't love there. It just means that somedays in your relationship you will have to fight for it when your mind is fighting against it. Leaving little notes to open on those days can savour a lot. So to my love, if you ever forget that you love me, I will be here to remind you, when you are ready again. ♡

I thought to myself, the songwriter should’ve written “If you ever forget I love you”, that would be more romantic. But I realized that sometimes we know that the other person loves us, but there are just times when we feel like we are falling out of love, but in reality, we do love them back, we just forget.
