Here's a real-time walkthrough from one of our favorite drummers of all time, Ish Melton, as he talks us through how to tune and get the best tone from your drums. 0:00 Intro 0:15 Snare 4:04 Toms 6:20 Kick 7:20 Cymbals
This is so great! Thank you! And what drum sizes are you using for the kick and toms? You've got this kit sounding incredible and I'd love to get close as I choose a drum kit for myself/church.
Hiii Gateway! I have two questions my first question is what patches are you using ish for your snare your toms and the kick drum And second question, the gateway sound engineer, what effects does he put on the drum microphones?
I am very very interested to know if your snare hits are always rimshots? There is a substantial amount of attach when you are playing the snare even at a low velocity. As a drummer, I’m rimshotting most of the time. As a sound engineer, I like mixing the drummers who rimshot more. But it doesn’t look like you’re rimshotting so I am highly curious to know.
Looks to be a '60's Ludwig SuperClassic kit based on the keystone badges and hardware. These had 3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany or mahogany/poplar/maple shells with solid maple re-rings. Beautiful sounding drums. The Ludwig Classic Maples came along in the mid-70's.
@@GatewayWorshipTraining I don't see how this could be an answer to his question... He asked about the skin on a snare. The snare isn't even a Ludwig.. It's a Franklin custom. I went ahead and answered him to the best of my knowledge as a viewer.
