@@eshasahitha1040 yeah I agree which is why I didn't say its ONLY Ishaan's fault, I said its EQUALLY Ishaan's fault. Yet at the end of the puja, he ends up AGAIN blaming her SOLELY for everything while conveniently giving himself (AND HIS EVIL FAMILY) zero blame and whining about his burdens and pareshaanis. He is great at criticizing Savi but can't turn that laser eye on his own faults and failures and cowardices. He has expectations from her to give up everything - her morals, her values, her self-respect - to please his family and him, yet he can't even bear to think of tiniest dent in his family's so called worthless "izzat" (what is the use of outward respect when you don't treat your own family members with respect and equality - not just Savi but Durva's mother, Ishaan's mother - this is not a family with any true respect) which I would rather call ego and fake status. He's a hypocrite through and through - but its nor surprising at all considering the fact that he was raised by two such evil and pathetic people like Rao Sahib and Akka Sahib, respects and admires them, even after knowing some of their evil deeds towards his mother and witnessing their daily humiliations towards Savi and Durva's mom. This kind of discrimination and injustice is normal and acceptable for him which is why Savi's resistance to it is angering him. He is the one who should have spoken up about not asking Savi to promise an heir, in a sacred vow in front of God. His silence is why Savi had no choice but to speak up. So yes, both are at fault for not refusing the puja in the 1st place. And Ishaan for not speaking up in her defense in the critical moment. Along with, lets not forget, Reva and Akka Sahib who manipulated them into doing it even when they rightfully refused. Ultimately the true villain is Akka Sahib and her ego and her bullying ways. It is NOT right to force ANY ritual on someone who does not wish to do it - rituals are meaningless unless performed with full heart and mind; any decent hearted person understands this. But Akka Sahib doesn't actually care about god or religion. She only cares about outward appearances and controlling people with her ego. By forcing them to do it, she invited the humiliation on herself. Hope next time she thinks twice before doing the blasphemy of making unwilling people perform sacred rituals.
