But Ishigami really had a character development and even relationship development with Kaguya since he had actually confidence to arm wrestle with her instead of fearing he might get killed lmao
0:43 this scene is literally perfection. As if Ishigami putting so much strength that it feels like his soul went with the force was not enough to make this scene hilarious they put a remixed version of We Will Rock You to just finish me off. This is a scene that I start laughing just from remembering it.
Best boy and got the most character development in the whole series my boi suffer quit a lot and got heart broken too but with everyone's help he keep moving forward he has my RESPECT
Dude wasn't really a simp tho. He had a crush but he was a good hearted and kind person. He did what was morally right, bro wasn't ever a simp. Always been a gigachad
2:03 I was fine with all their ideas to get Ishigami and Iino to be friends up until the pocky game, like are you trying to get them to be friends or make them start dating?!?!
Just finished season 1 and it was kinda hard to get through. It grew on me after a few episodes and some parts were nice, some episodes are more hilarious than others, but its basically two idiots in love who can't just admit their emotions out of pride (and embarrassment) but its also exagerated like they do a lot in anime (mostly sports, and that one cooking one) and make everyhing out to be bigger than it really is (I had to get uaed to the narrator, too. I'm more used to that in fighting and shonen anime.) I honestly might not have stuck it out if I hadn't watched clips of this online, Ishigami and Fujiwara are the funniest part of this for me. The main couple is a little frustrating (just come out and admit you like each othe already smh) but I'll continue the series mainly because of the other two.
I absolutely adore Love is War for introducing Ishigami as your run of the mill one dimensional character whose only trait is "audience, you can relate right?", but over the course of the 3 seasons (and especially over the course of the manga) gets arguably more character development than the main characters themselves.
I like to think that it's their way of telling the audience that you WILL get better if you try. And you WILL save someone if you lend out a helping hand, even if it is so effortless for you.
there are 2 perspectives in the series. Kaguya and President are the beasts of the school wich not everyone can relate to but can enjoy. And ishigamy is the guy who is just starting to grow and so people can relate to him way more. A really genius series
His backstory was so relatable to me and I absolutely loved his decision on how to deal with it. His romantic parts are a little less relatable but I really felt for the guy...
Except for the tsubame scenes and those wholesome moments with a girl like iino i totally relate with ishigami even those ones in which helping someone actually escalated to something that can never be undone. Edit- daum 100 likes never gotten this much ig there are ppl who relate
He was just a relatable character until the backstory and character development, then he not only became extremely relatable but also he became THE GOAT. My favorite character in all anime.
He lost to Kaguya because: He was playing with his weak hand She was playing with her strong hand He doesn't lift unlike Kaguya who has strength from archery.
@@alucardvanheim1984 You will surprised to know what's to come in anime then. I am an anime only myself tho and am pretty sure even though she fights a lot with him, she definitely DOES NOT HATE him
I’ll say this, there is no one, AND I MEAN NO ONE, no one in this manga that deserves Ishigami. Of course Tsubasa senpai would be the best ending if she actually wants it, but we all know how that plays out. And Kobachi would be my second best, but she isn’t the best for Ishigami, she really cares about him sure but I don’t think he would like her. But lastly, Iino is my least favorite, I just simply disliked from start to end, yes she had some character development but I still don’t like her after the fact, she DOES not deserve Ishigami, even Fujiwara would be better than Kobachi and Iino, but again that would be a little bit wild. Point being, the only one who would really be right by Ishigami would be a really good person like Kaguya, but she deserves to be with Shirogane, none of the other girls deserve this king.
I ship Ishigami with Miko, but I think a realy interesting route would have been Osaragi. It would be interesting to see how that would have played out, especially considering she is more mature about her love for him like Kaguya and is willing to sacrifice her feelings for him so Miko can be with him.
