[Order No.0801 / a Shoe Cupboard] wood :East Asian Walnut legs are dyed with Persimmon Tannin. furniture maker / Natsuki Ishitani video make&posting / Chie Music 「夕焼け」 by MATSU #ishitanifurniture #woodworking #shoecupboard
I melted when Shiro was like "i wont walk anymore if we leave Chie behind". Great camera work, music selection, angles selection, footage selection, everything is so mystical. This channel is my main source of inspiration to get better at woodworking.
I find the craftsmanship, the design, the way tools are used simply flawless. There is so many channels on youtube, and almost evertime you find something that could be done better, faster / slower, more accurate. Not with Ishitani...it is a pleasure watching this master share his art. Thank you.
The thing that I appreciate right away is he doesn’t make the video about him making something. It’s all about the furniture piece. Very enjoyable to watch. I really appreciate your designs and talent.
Almost speechless after watching someone 6k miles away make a stunning shoe cupboard of incredible precision and craftsmanship, shot with world class videography (loved the music, the window shot and those of Shiro looking back and scoping the cat) and a dog with caring eyes of wisdom and stature. Thank you for making my day once again!
Class act Master. You don’t see his face. You don’t hear him talk. His personality and skill are defined in his work. Just do the job. I bow to you Sir. And damn, that press.
This comment is exactly how i feel. The most perfect word being Master. Just a perfect piece of work. Design A+, construction A+, technique A+, simplicity A+, effect A+, Video A+. Where's the ego? Where's that feeling of needing to lecture someone about HIS way? Completely absent. The work says it all. and your followers are hanging on your every video. To me this video shows what it is to command respect, not demand it. My favourite craftsman for sure. Every piece of furniture i make, i try and channel him.
I wish all furniture was made with this much care and attention to detail. Fantastic! I've learned how the furniture you make in ISHITANI is different from the furniture made in the factory.
That shot looking over the board while marking the dovetails at 2:20, the contrast stain on the feet, he made his own plywood! Oh. My. God. Should wood working bring a tear to your eye? Cos this just did.
This isn't furniture making. What you are doing is fine art. People who are lucky enough to buy your furniture, will be handing it down to their grandchildren through the generations. I wish all furniture was made with this much care and attention to detail. Fantastic!
@@hlboerr And your point? That he isn't permitted to make a living? That he should lower his standards and use cheap materials? Your comment is derisive and self indulgent. Do everyone a favor and Save your socialist rants for another page. This man is a master craftsman and should be treated with respect. He represents a kind of spirit of excellence and tradition that makes objects like this not only beautiful but worth more than all the observations of trolls like you.
You really are at another level from us peasant YT'rs. Knocking together dovetails from below seems like such a logical idea that solves so many problems yet this is the first I'd seen the practice done. Mad respect.
Lovely work, both on the carpentry side and the video and editing side.....you and your wife are a fantastic team. Regards also to Shiro....great workshop assistant!
Typically in a video like this I like to have a voice over explanation of the process. With your videos, however, I want for nothing. These videos are perfect as they are. Your work is beautiful and watching you create is such a relaxing experience that any instruction would detract from the overall experience. Thank you.
I'm brazilian. Thing are so difficult here. I don't have the tools or skills (yet) but this channel and videos are like a therapy for me! And I really like the way you work on wood. You know, these are the dead bodies of the most ancient lives on earth, some with hundred of years, and most people don't realize that, don't have respect for them. Thanks for the great job!
Thanks for the beautiful videos. Natsuki has a steady, smooth pace when he is working that I find so relaxing to watch, almost meditative. And Chie's videography is quite artistic and very appealing. Shiro seems to be a very patient and gentle shop foreman.
Another splendid piece of woodworking. The film production is top notch. To be able to tell the story of each piece is beautiful the way you display his work with camera angles, music, the dog walks, just thank you and I hope Google is paying you well for your views and subscriptions. Thank you.
Perfect video. Makes my worries and troubles melt away. Seriously!!!!! Love your work; love the filming and editing, and love the puppy. He's a bit of a sweetie. Please keep making videos. And come do a tour of Australia. I'd happily pay to attend your classes or seminar. I live in Brisbane on the east coast of Australia. Well done, my friends.
Natsuki, a master pices as always, that will survive for generations after we're all long gone. Chie your videos are always so well shot, wonderful. Shiro where could you find fault in these pieces, go chase that cat.
I seriously have to start waiting until I get home from work to watch your videos. I completely zone out from the workplace and focus on your videos. It's borderline hypnotic watching you work and the music choice is always spot on. Great project as normal. Keep it up!
Hello I am from the state of Veracruz in Mexico, I am fond of carpentry and I just start doing very basic works, I thank you very much for the videos that are uploading to youtube because apart from being very well made are real works of art which you do, thanks again with pleasure I follow you and I hope to see many more videos on your channel
