You are so right.....kids and dogs belong together...I was 6 y/o when my parents divorced,That's when Mom let my Bro' and I get a dog.62 years later...I still wouldn't be without 1....Or 2..

I have Stafford for 35 years, best dogs, mine grandchildren run around with my old girl who is 16 she maybe old but loves my babies. That was adorable to watch her bond with her staffie is the awesome

I’ve had my wonderful staffie for 9 years and I’m expecting my first child in August. I’m so thankful that my child will get a few good years in with my best friend. Hopefully they will be best friends too. I really hope my pup will live to be 16 as well!

I'm 66, a woman, and I've never had kids. I'm regularly truly AMAZED at that these "tiny humans" can do because I have no idea what a child of 3, 4, 6, 10 is capable of. It's pretty stunning to see how small children pick up SO MUCH from such a young age. They're like "learning machines", If only we all continued that in adult life.

Some adults do. My oldest bro is 70 and has taken courses or received training for well over have his life. And what did he get to show for it? A 9 figure salary. He was a computer engineer for Jacob Engineering. He travelled the world over designing computer systems for corporations. He retired a few years ago.

I saw a Giraffe giving birth in Africa. The little one ready to walk from the first minutes, just ready to run so it won't get eaten by a predator. A human baby takes about 12 months to be able to walk. We are pretty slow learners. Continue this and you realize by the time you are old that your life could have been so much more if you only knew then what you know now.

Funny enough Dakota is a champion in it already and retired, but loved it so much, her owners let her continue as their daughters training dog.

Al the dogs, formerly known as fight dogs, I know are cuties. During my studies on statistics, there was a case from an experiment with young pubs wether you could predict from pup behavior if they will become aggressive. At the end I asked which dogs turned out to become aggressive. It were, to my amazement, golden retrievers.

arx754 arx754 I loved your story, and it is how I know the pitbulls of today. Last year I used a dog walker for my own rescue dog. She had something like a pit bull. My dog is a complicated little angry dog. So it was a bit scary to let him go with the pit bull. But that dog, a young one, was so sweet and did exactly the right things. After a week my dog went happy with them. It was very funny to see them walk away, because they had more or less the same color pattern. The pit bull also meet my cats. One of my cats is not afraid of anything. So the dog and cat say kind of hello to each other. You know how cats do that by closing their eyes. They nosed somewhat, they obviously liked each other. By the way, I live in the Netherlands. The animals in the shelters here are never euthanised. May be because we have a shortage of rescue dogs (and cats), we have to import them. Mine is from Spain. The pit bull of the dog walker is from Greece.

Maynard Runkle I found an article of the Dogcounsel. First they stated that most “fight dogs” don’t bite humans. It’s only when they attack it’s always severe. But they were responsible for a very small part of the bite incidents. At the top was the jack Russell terrier, followed by German and Belgium shepherds, retrievers and labradors. The data are about bite incidents that needed medical care. In my opinion you must be careful with all the dogs you don’t know.

A lot of bollocks spouted here. Dogs bite because they have been made to think that is acceptable, or as a form of defence, when the idiot human has failed to spot the clues before ( and I can include myself with the latter). You can be bitten by any animal or any human...lets not forget that we are the most dangerous species on the planet.

You know Staffy’s where selectively breed to be bigger and thus the pit bull and amstaff were created. It’s like Aussie and mini Aussie. Other than that, what else do you care to spout random nonsense about? Yeah yeah it’s 99% of how a dog is raised, socialized, trained, disciplined, feed, but dogs like people you will bad seeds here and there. Otter negative factors to avoid are taking a puppy prior to 8 weeks, inbreeding, too old of a mother, a dirty small and loud environment, low quality food, improper vaccination scheduling. So yeah, a lot of factors to make a good dog. What I was saying is that bully breed demonization is nonsense by politicians who know less than you do.
