Isip is the Filipino word for Mind and Think. As someone struggling w/ cptsd, I cannot fathom the depth of pain and the breadth of the repercussions of 75+ years of oppression by one single group, while other countries watch or turn a blind eye. I'm going to study trauma in my masters and I will bring this with me as I sew my experience with that of the Muslims in my own country (also displaced after occupation of Catholic northerners post-world war as urged by the government). The stories just keep repeating and I don't understand why and how it's business as usual.
42:25 is very important. This prevents the cycle of abuse and oppression, of the oppressed becoming the oppressor. And for the oppressed to lean towards traumatic growth than traumatic breakdowns.
