I've seen that personally. Feelings and the way a person talks and walks and even sits and stands is difficult to control. @Maas no Muslim country has “sharia” law. They’re mostly secular dictatorships that are culturally Muslim. Afghanistan currently rules by Sharia, and after 20 years of war, they’re wary of any outsiders coming in even if they happen to be Muslim.

Of course the fact of binary gender needs no evidence from the scripture. However as social beings, when a certain ideology is pushed so radically with mobs and the powerful elite behind it, then even the clearest of realities could be confused by the society. Especially philosophically there's been a bombarding with the message that your feelings have primacy over external realities. So in that case I would say, the scripture enlightens us with the truth; what kind of philosophy to follow and its implications, i.e. Allah has created with haqq - truth, hence the external reality is primary and you should adjust your feelings to match the reality. When you don't believe (bodily) what you say, you go against "your subjective truth", you're a liar. But at the end of the day, your embodied subjective truth has to be aligned with the external reality, and your expressions must be aligned with your subjective (embodied) truth, then you become a siddique. Allahs says in the Quran that a munafiq (hypocrite) said "La ilaha illa Allah" and Quran says "he is a liar", because his words do not match his heart (embodied truth), although what he says is in line with the external truth. So, the scripture tells what should be the primary reality and that's the philosophical difference from the postmodern deconstructionism.

If you don't agree with how people are living, then ignore them. What people are and do - as long as they don't do harm to anyone - is none of your business. There are still Pride events because simply being gay, can get you killed on the streets or sentenced to death by certain governments around the world, or otherwise getting attacked and harmed. I disagree about gay people being killed in certain communities. That’s the perception of the west. Maybe fuelled by some people from third world countries claiming this persecution in order to obtain residency in the uk/us. I lived in 2 so called third world countries in the 70’s to 90’s and we actually had gay people in uni and even in the community there was a cross dresser older man who worked as a ‘maid’ in households. They were considered odd but never attacked or vilified. More to be pitied. Both were majority Muslim countries.
