A peaceful religion always try to make peace, and never ever resort to agressive sollutions, but remains peaceful in all circumstances, or else the peace is broken by the beliver, and he or she is not practicing his faith, but breaks away from it, disobeys the religion.

It's unfortunate that these debates don't bring in the Sharia manuals, as those are the final understanding and the consensus (ijima) of the top Islamic scholars. Muhammad said that anyone who strays from the ijima departs for hell. Islamic countries live by the rules of Sharia, not by some Western definitions of just war or punishment that Nadir wants to use.
It was written much later as you say, however, it is held as the final understanding of the most important Islamic sources and Islamic countries govern by Sharia, so it is of great importance. All religions take time to develop and come up with their laws, traditions, etc. @@seedhaseedhi

If is were, then all its followers would be peaceful and the stronger their belief, the more peaceful they would be. It's God would also be peaceful and never resort to violence, not invoke violence in its instructions. And it's prophets would also be peaceful and could never be found to have engaged in warfare and battle.
Nadir comes into these debates with a purely polemical expectation, which is evident from his expressions such as "chased away from the quran", "crutching at straws", "running away" etc.. it's never an attempt at really understanding the opponents points and being an honest interlocuter. Rather it's about "winning", "destroying", "humiliating" etc... this is childish and bad faith. He also would go into great lengths (this is an understatement) to twist the Islamic texts to absolve Islam from its inconsistencies but doesn't extend the same charity to other religious texts. Personally, I think he knows that he is doing all this, but too deep into this whole game to change or concede anything

Muslims judge according to the Koran, while others judge according to other values, such as national or international law. Thus, dialogue is often futile. The best way to avoid conflict is to maintain non-interference with each other.
