Honestly a coward move choosing easy fights . Hes built up a winning streak and wants to fight a guy comming of 2 back 2 back looses where he was dominated in both.
@@humanactivated1017 i will like to see that I seen video of them wrestling and he won some but khabib won more he knows who the better guy is khabib is the goat people need to put respect on his name
@@dannyhinton6140 no way man , every one knows Islam is way better than Khabib . Khabib ran from Ferguson and sabotaged his weight cuts , He retired three times due to evading USADA to not get exposed pounding heavy Chechnyian steroids and PEDS . Islam has learned every thing he can from Khabib and won’t be fighting for only getting records and money like Khabib ended up .
@@smhgaming3259 yes he did you're right. Great fighters as well but what y'all don't understand is his insane cardio and now that he has a coach he's going to be a lot better. Justin is a hard puncher but Tony 2 years ago wouldn't have lost to Justin. Tony managed to again prove that he has the strongest chin in the game. Yeah man just my opinion but Tony ain't losing this tbf
I made my initial comment in jest...however, I’ve been following all the AKA/Eagle fighters for years and have grown to love the way they respect elders & coaches.
This guy is really calm and it's so weird, when i was watching the fight he would just make you feel his opponents have no chance, and they really don't. I seriously feel he is top 5 already
@@bendover730 come on dude...his fighting skill is so high level...base on what you see the skill level that he has easily you can put him under top 5 LW fighters...easily....
Reporters talking in quick bursts and using local sayings and choosing more advanced grammar when the person they are talking to is struggling with BASIC English is frustrating to watch. It would save us so many "what did you say?" or exchanges with a translator if reporters would just have the common sense to communicate at the level of the person they are talking to.
Alhamdulillah. This man is fighting with the spirit of Abdulmanap and has the Eagle in his corner. He will be champion next and it will be amazing to see him run through all those big names.
@Marty Kamarudeen Usman from Nebraska What truth? You putting religion and the words truth together is awfully funny. People can believe in whatever they want, we arent in the olden days.
@@nicolaisb2 Some people can't help their accent, Brazilians like Nunes always sound like that when they speak English is... If you can't handle an accent don't watch it.
@@nicolaisb2 All of your other comments are targeted towards the foreign fighters being "destroyed" because they don't speak "proper" English... What's your problem? I've heard scousers with worse English.
Righttttt, that’s exactly what I was thinking! Even tho Khabib was still calm at times there were other times where it got to his head but this guy doesn’t give a shittttttt to talk LOOOL. Islam’s calmness and control is scary lol
DC says he's way better in training and has problems going into auto-pilot during a fight. So maybe he doesn't show his feelings but hopefully he clears his head as he is truly talented.
@@MrWorstnameever you are literally posting everywhere hating the guy. he's a great fighter and will continue rising up the ranks. if you don't like his style then don't watch his fights.
@@maltheri9833 yh but that fight won't happen Islam on a win streak for him to fight someone who lost there last 2 fights doesn't make sense and I think rda is a tougher fight
@@franciscoquiroz1749 he’s not ready for top 10 yet. Give him Lee or Iaquinta. If he gets past them, then sure. Beating an unranked opponent does not make you eligible for a top 10 opponent
Islam should be asking for somebody more challenging. I love Tony but he’s on his way out. Islam calling out Tony because he wants an easy way into the top 10. Pusey move. Islam should be calling out Hooker or Chandler
@@MrWorstnameever Islam called out Chandler and Hooker but both of them turned him down. They won't fight him so Tony or Kevin lee is the only option here
@@faysanamin980 Chandler didn’t want to fight him in Dubai because he was a replacement for a title shot.. but funny you say Chandler. Why doesn’t he call out Chandler anymore?? Might it have something to do with the way he completely dismantled Hooker and he’s afraid?
I know he wants to call out top 5, but he do it in the most humble way. 😂 trash talking doesnt apply to these Dagestani fighters... Like Mike Bisping, or Conor. They are more on actions than talking.. cute
To be honest, the trash talk by Bisping and by Connor was very different. Connor crossed the line and went too far. Thankfully we have some winners like Yan, Khabib and Islam who are modest and humble. They respect their opponent unless disrespected.
@@adamabbas1487 actually I miss Bisping. And you can see that recently having bromance with Luke in their gym. Plus GSP said on Joe Rogan interview, how can you not love Bisping bec of his human side. Trash talking is all just a game face. I kinda miss it. Bisping is a tough dude and he deserve more than ufc hall of fame. What I meant was, the way fighters call out opponent we call trash talking to get fights, none of these Dagestani fighters would do... Conor trash talking is something else.. disrespectful. Nate Diaz cuss a lot but only to fighter’s fight ability not going below the belt.. just like Bisping. You kinda miss those.. but man! Dagestani fughters are good.
Dude just subbed Drew Dober with a cross body arm triangle. Insane pressure. Like a black belt rolling with a white belt. I see no one in this division that's going to stop this dude. Maybe Olivera? Big maybe?
@@germanrud9904 khabib is 1 of a kind not every dagastani is like that. There just worldclass gapplers thats alm not more. Khabib vs tony in his prime would give khabib trouble and his biggest challenge. This guy is a wannebe khabib type
@@dennisvanherle2287 you're deluded if you think that mate. They both train under the same trainers so they naturally both have similar fighting styles and strengths. Don't forget Islam also has the upper hand in reach, standup and also takedowns. Ground control and defence and fight IQ is where i see khabib surpassing Islam.
Tony Ferguson is turning 38 this year so he's way over his prime. Most top 10 fighters that still perform well at that age would be in LHW or HW, e.g. Jan Błachowicz and Stipe Miocic who are both 38 years old. No LW would be good at that age because the speed and technical skills required to be a champion in MW or lower is much higher than LHW and HW. Tony is outstrike by Justin Gaethje and outgrapple by Charles Oliveira which it means he's not as fast or less technical than these two fighters. If Tony stays fighting, he would become a gatekeeper like Cowboy Cerrone.
Michael Chandlers the only one at the top who stands a chance. No one else has the wrestling needed to fight him at the top. Only other fighter is arman tsarukyan rematch
Tony is fixing to make a comeback. Just needs to sharpen and hone his tools. He still has heart and I'm pretty sure he's still got his chin. He got complacent with his win streak and was avoiding strict mma training in favor of silly unorthodox movement. I have faith in my boy. Champ shit only
@@ptida666 what a stimulating thought. For tony to redeem himself and bring the eagle back. Sadly, all of the top five would demolish tony at 155. He should move up to 170. He looked great against cowboy 🤠
On initial viewing I honestly thought he had his shoulder driving into the guys throat, I didn’t see the triangle at all. (I’ve seen interviews with wrestlers who always say when Khabib or Islam take you down, and mount you like that you can’t breathe, the tap seemed to come out of nowhere for me tho - initially)
This might be the one time the "we have ___ at home" line actually had something better at home. I don't want to see Tony vs Khabib anymore. I think it's pretty clear Tony would get smoked. I want to see Islam vs Oliveira.
8:05 Just the way he says "I'm gonna be champion" in such a calm and humble manner shows his meek character even though he's actually strong and an animal in the octagon
I really like this dude, he seems very genuine and nice. He always seems like he’s a few seconds away from a panic attack. He has bad anxiety or asperger’s or something.
"I just need to fight 2-3 more times and then 2022 I'm gonna be champion" So true man, only things that have prevented him from being champion sooner were injuries and khabib. It shows you how close his bond and friendship is with his team for him to have waited so long for his time when in his mind, he knew he could've been champion sooner. Loyalty and respect. Pure class, can't wait to see him rule this division for the next couple years.
@I like my own comments to get the ball rolling how do u call someone a "casual" but haven't seen the tony v kevin lee. kevin was winning until tony pulled off the sub
Tony is a fighter with fantastic cardio and alot of heart but against top opponents that isn't enough to win. He's also delusional and batshit insane and when he loses doesn't make adjustments to his game, he just makes excuses.
Makachev is going places in this division. He fights beyond his years.. He's got the mental aspect down and he is well rounded. I look forward to watching his path to a title fight develop
Khabib is telling him to handle his light weight basically. Tony needs to retire or only fight Diaz or Connor and then go home. Khabib isn’t playing he’s gotta pack of these dudes. Plus his boy beats him it kills tony call outs for khabib obvi
Nothing will stop Tony’s calling out Khabib. Wait and see. Twenty years from now, at Bellator 500, Khabib vs. Ferguson, when both are over fifty years old.
