Solidifying your faith through practice and testing yourself through commitment and dedication. For the first point, take this simple analogy. If there are maths books that teach you how to excel in maths, there can be many authors to pick from, there can be books published in different years as well. Some books maybe OLD , some maybe NEWER. Until the book you're reading is correct, there's no need for the book to be published in first-edtion to be considered "relevant". Same is with Sikhism, may came late (just 600 yrs, while islam is more than 1500 yrs old) but Sikhism follows truth as well. Secondly, Sikhism is not a subset of Islam. Both are different religions with different set of core values. Sikhs go with a strict rule of not cutting their hairs, while it is optional for Muslims. Muslims avoid pork, sikhs dont. Muslims do fasting, sikhs dont. Dispite that, Islamism and Sikhism have similar idea of God (The one true creator)

If the Quran is the true, then automatically all other scriptures are wrong because the Quran rejects every other scripture since it's not the word of God. Well Jeff Squared I kind of agree with you.. Pakistan where most Indigenous Pakistanis (pre partition) accepted Islam through Sufism are unlikely to accept Wahhabism but there is a growing threat. In Kashmir where Jihadism has been instigated by the Pakistani Ruling elite since Partition has evolved and gone into itself and reemerged as Wahabis. I have many discussions with Pakistanis who happen to come from Pakistan occupied Kashmir who consider themselves Kashmiris rather than Pakistan but for strategy sake, hide under the guise of representing Pakistan in heated discussions. The slogan the Pakistan Army used for trying to "liberate" Kashmir has created clusters who are spreading their ideology through fear. Only the other day they carried out another attack, and killed many in a Shia congregation. So the image non Muslims get of Pakistan is of a state riddled with radicalism, even though as you say and I agree , "most pakistanis" arn not Wahabis. I said also that Indian Muslims are true to their faith. They are and have the freedom to practice it truely because unlike Pakistani Wahabism, which has is based on Punjabi culture, of seeing others as their inferirrs is a locational Wahabism, tied root branch and stock to Pakistan. Indian Muslims see it as an irrelevance in the Indian context. Btw I am a Sikh.

I wrote a comparison/contrast paper in college which was highly regarded amongst the professors and I was told to take the body of work and turn it into a book. Also, my above post was about my personal experience amongst Sikhs. My secondary stated opinion would have been given to ANYONE who constantly interjected during a debate about ANY subject. Talking over someone and interrupting shows immaturity, disrespect and overshadows any facts or debateable points during a discussion. @S J There are many subjective things in Islam like Prophet Muhammad SWT flying to heaven on a unicorn or that listening to music will send u to hell, and similarly there are subjective things in Sikhi. We believe that jannat and jahannum exist and so does reincarnation, and how much time u spend in hell/heaven or wether u have to go through all the non-human species in this Dunya (World) depends on ur Karm (Deeds). However the ultimate goal above all is Mukti (becoming one with god), in Islam heaven is the ultimate goal, however heaven is temporary in Sikhi.
