This young scholar (Hassan Illyas) is a real GEM. The kind of knowledge he has in such a young age is mind blowing, what a brain Masha-Allah!!. May Allah give him more knowledge and heights. Overall, it was a truly academic talk!!

Very useful and constructive discussion. The credit goes to Ghamdi sahib who really produced his successor,very articulate and learned. Wish both the intellectuals a long and healthy life.
Ghamidi sahab and now Hasan have not memorised Islam in a Madrassa but have a deep knowledge of Arabic language which they have applied to understand Quran in its context. No wonder they are able to provide a holistic picture whose spirit can be applied in all places and eras while being very clear on the basic principles.
31:55- 34:30 what mindblowing clarity of thought and one can see even Taimur is highly impressed. Thank you Ghamidi sahab and Hasan for giving us the basic principle that perfection and divine guidance ended with Muhammad SAW. Everything after that is the interpretation of fallible humans who were more learned than you and I but humans nevertheless and falls under the ambit of history at best. It has nothing to do with foundations of faith. This has saved me and my kids from a lot of doubts and confusion. May Allah bless you both

Bravo Hassan Ilyas and Thank you @Taimur_Laal for raising these questions. This QnA session is and will be sad'qa-e-Jaria for opening many people's eyes and give them clarity regarding the confusion created over centuries none other than by our own traditional and obsolete so called scholarly institutes. I specially thank to Hassan Ilyas for sharing his time and learnings, while appreciating his oratory skills.
I would like to express my gratitude to the Ghamidi Center for their incredible talk. It has effectively dispelled numerous misconceptions and provided valuable insights. In my observation, there is no other institution in the world that possesses a scholar of the caliber of Hassan Ilyas. His intellect, eloquence, and persuasive abilities are truly exceptional.

Islam is a complete way of life in all aspect. This means whatever system (financial, legal, social, medical, educational...) you create, it has to comply with the boundaries marked by Quran and Sunnat. And Quran and Sunnat do provide guidance for everything. Wherever there is a disagreement in the details or implementation of the a system, scholars have to turn to Quran and Sunnat to get guidance.
السلام علیکم، حسن صاحب کمال کی گفتگو۔ا یسی گفتگو میں نے کم از کم میں نے اپنی پوری زندگی میں نہیں سنی۔ علم بڑے بڑے لوگوں کے پاس ہوتا ہے لیکن بات کرنے کا سلیقہ، زبان اور پیشکش صدیوں میں کسی کو ملتی ہے۔ غامدی صاحب علم کا سمندر ہیں تو اس سمندر کی چمک حسن الیاس ہے۔ اس کم عمری میں ایسی فصاحت اور روانی ساتھ ساتھ غامدی صاحب کا علم جیسے اس نے پیالے میں بھر کر پی لیا ہو۔ دل سے دعا ہے خدا آپ کو وہ دن دیکھائے جب لوگ آپ کو دیکھ کر غامدی صاحب کو پہچان جائیں۔
A very unique and much needed discussion which I have been expecting for a long time. Congratulations to Hasen Bhai and Tamur Rehan ....It will help thousands of unsatisfied minds having intellectual mind set , understand Islam in a better perspective.....I hope that kind of discussion will be kept continuously in future with other intellectual as well.

What a constructive discussion. I was visiting MEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam and there they have displayed timeline of major scientific major events. I could see that Muslims were there in innovation and science until 16th century but later, it was all wiped out. It always stayed there in my mind, where and why we Muslims left that track. Thanks Dr. Taimoor for asking this question and Ilyas for answering this.
